Reception Given by Mongolian Foreign Ministry
Pyongyang, October 22 (KCNA) -- A reception was given by the Mongolian Ministry of Foreign Affairs on Oct. 13 on the occasion of the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the DPRK and Mongolia.

Present there on invitation were personages of various social strata including officials of several ministries and chiefs of the organizations for the study of the Juche idea and the DPRK ambassador to Mongolia and staff members of his embassy.

S. Batbold, foreign minister of Mongolia, addressing the reception, noted that this year marking the 20th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's visit to Mongolia and the 60th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic ties between the two countries is a significant year, referring to the fact that Kim Il Sung performed great feats for the development of the bilateral relations, paying visits to Mongolia on two occasions, and the peoples of the two countries have made efforts to boost the relations in line with the common desire and interests while supporting and cooperating with each other.

He said that he was pleased with the fact that the diligent Korean people have achieved great successes by making efforts to achieve the peaceful reunification of the country, build a great prosperous powerful nation and greet the centenary of birth of Kim Il Sung with successes in the efforts for the development and prosperity of the country with confidence and strong will under the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Saying that it is the consistent stand of Mongolia to boost the relations between the two countries, he evinced his will to closely cooperate with the DPRK, in the future, too.
