63rd Birthday of WPK Celebrated in Different Countries
Pyongyang, October 18 (KCNA) -- Public figures of different countries issued statements on Oct. 8 and 9 on the occasion of the 63rd anniversary of the foundation of the Workers' Party of Korea.

Otete Gaston Mboyo, chairman of the National Committee of the Genuine Lumumbist Patriotic Party of Democratic Congo, said in his statement that the WPK which was founded and strengthened and developed by President Kim Il Sung is shedding its rays as the party of the President both in name and reality and envied by the world progressive parties desirous of justice and socialism thanks to the leadership of Kim Jong Il.

As Kim Jong Il is leading the WPK, holding high the banner of Songun, the banner of socialism, the Korean people will always emerge victorious in the future, too, he noted, expressing the belief that the Korean people would achieve great successes in their struggle to build a great prosperous powerful nation and achieve the peace and reunification of the Korean Peninsula.

G. Debarajan, secretary of the Central Committee of the All-India Forward Bloc, said that the WPK which was founded by the President is confidently inheriting its history and tradition and fully demonstrating its might as an organizer and guide of all victories of the Korean people thanks to Kim Jong Il.

Harising Khang, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), expressed his belief that the WPK enjoying full support of the Korean people under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il would achieve greater successes in the future and achieve the independent and peaceful reunification of the country without fail in the near future.
