Omar Lopez, chairman of the Venezuelan National Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, declared the center open and speeches were made by personages at the ceremony.

The mayor of the city said that he deemed it honor to hold the opening ceremony of the above-said center on the occasion of the significant day of the Korean people. The reality today when the revolutionary forces in Latin-American countries are dynamically advancing along the road of independence against the U.S after coming to power one after another clearly proves the justice of the Juche idea once again, he stressed.

The director for Social Development of the city office said that while studying works of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and history of Korea he came to know well about the Juche idea and the heroic struggle of the Korean people.

To deeply study the experience of the DPRK and the Juche idea is of weighty importance for the Latin-American countries in finding the way of advancing revolution, overcoming hardships, he noted, reiterating his resolution to make a positive contribution to the Venezuelan revolution by deeply studying the Juche idea and widely disseminating it among the people.

The DPRK ambassador to Venezuela was present there on invitation.
