German Exhibition of Bear Sculptures Held
Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- An exhibition of bear sculptures was held at the Moranbong Youth Park on Tuesday under the co-sponsorship of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, the Pyongyang City People's Committee, the German embassy here and the DPRK-Germany Friendship Association on the occasions of the 60th birthday of the DPRK and the national day of Germany.

Attending the exhibition were Mun Jae Chol, acting chairman of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, Hong Son Ok, vice-chairwoman of the above-said committee who is chairwoman of the DPRK-Germany Friendship Association, Kim Jong Sik, vice-chairman of the Pyongyang City People's Committee, officials concerned, working people in the city, German Ambassador to the DPRK Thomas Schafer and staff members of his embassy and the manager of the Buddy Bear Berlin GmbH of Germany and his party.

Present there on invitation were diplomatic envoys of different countries, staff members of various embassies and staff members of missions of international organizations here.

Speeches were made there.

Speakers noted that the holding of the above-said exhibition in Pyongyang indicates that the friendly and cultural relations between the two countries are developing favorably.
