Candlelight Struggle Staged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, October 14 (KCNA) -- A candlelight struggle against traitor Lee Myung Bak's unpopular policy was staged in Seoul on Oct. 11.

It was attended by people from all walks of life including members of civic and public organizations, workers, students, religionists, artistes and housewives.

Shown at the rally first was a video dealing with the struggle against the import of American beef staged in the area of Kwanghwamun in Seoul bright with candlelight.

Speakers at the rally recalled that the leading members of the People's Measure Council have been on an indomitable sit-in strike for a hundred days at the Jogye Temple though they are wanted by the police.

They declared they would not step back even an inch from their action unless Lee Myung Bak sincerely comes out for dialogue with the people.

Meanwhile, a "youth and children candlelight cultural event" was held at Chonggye Square in protest against the unjust educational policy of the puppet authorities.

Then followed a candlelight rally attended by Internet organizations including the "Anti-2MB meaning Lee Myung Bak."

The participants declared that people from all walks of life would unite as one and organize a new solidarity organization for democracy and people's living and fight against the above-said policy of the authorities.

The participants staged a sit-in strike with candlelight in their hands till the dawn of the next day.
