Reports and speeches were made at the meetings.

Vasilka Nikiforova, chief of the Kim Il Sung Library, and other speakers at the meeting in Bulgaria highly praised the immortal feats performed by President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il in founding the WPK and strengthening and developing it.

They noted that under the leadership of the WPK, an invincible revolutionary party, the DPRK has turned into the socialist state centered on the popular masses where the Juche idea has been thoroughly embodied in all realms of social life and into the political and ideological and military power where the single-minded unity of the whole society has been achieved.

Martin Lotscher, chairman of the Switzerland-Korea Committee, lauded Kim Il Sung's feats performed in founding the party and the state, saying that he is the founder of the WPK and father of socialist Korea.

Guy Dupre, secretary general of the International Liaison Committee for Reunification and Peace in Korea, noted that Kim Jong Il formulated the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo put forward by Kim Il Sung as main content of the three charters for national reunification and has wisely led the Korean people's struggle for national reunification, thus bringing about the unprecedented advance in the accomplishment of the cause of Korea's reunification.

Edmond Jouve, director-general of the European Society for the Study of the Juche Idea, said that over the past more than six decades the WPK has always emerged victorious thanks to the wise and tested leadership of Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and to the Juche idea, the great guiding idea of the era of independence it has regarded as its steadfast guidelines.

Messages of greetings to Kim Jong Il were adopted at the meetings in Bulgaria and Switzerland.
