S. Korean Army Authorities' Humiliating Agreement Assailed
Pyongyang, October 12 (KCNA) -- The People for Achieving Peace and Reunification of south Korea called a press conference in Seoul on Oct. 8 at which it denounced the puppet army authorities for making a humiliating agreement to take over waste ammunition of the U.S. forces in south Korea.

Speakers at the press conference recalled that shortly ago the puppet Ministry of National Defense agreed with the U.S. to take over 259,000 tons of unused ammunition of the U.S. forces in south Korea, branding it as another "drain on resources for the U.S. forces" in the wake of the negotiations with it on import of American beef.

A press release was read out then. It noted that the said ammunition has already lost its efficiency because the term of its use expired more than 20 years ago, terming the puppet army authorities' decision to take over ammunition not worth scrap iron under the pretext of "alliance" slavish submission to the U.S.

The U.S. forces in south Korea accumulated illicit money by using the fund for the upkeep of the forces for the transfer of their bases in south Korea, but the army authorities let loose sophism that "they do not deem it a violation," the release deplored, urging the minister of "National Defense" to resign at once as he is keen on meeting the U.S. interests.

The release demanded the "government" and the "National Assembly" directly intervene in this matter to thoroughly probe the truth behind the case and punish the one responsible for it.
