Puppet Prosecution's Repressive Action Blasted
Pyongyang, October 11 (KCNA) -- "The Association of Those Arrested for Participating in Candlelight Actions," an internet organization in south Korea, held a press conference in Seoul on Oct. 7 to accuse the puppet prosecution of taking a repressive action against participants in the candlelight struggle.

Speakers at the conference recalled that the Seoul Central District Prosecutor's Office on Oct. 2 referred to a court at least 90 persons among those who were illegally arrested and prosecuted for their involvement in candlelight actions and imposed upon them a fine up to 3 million won.

They held that the Lee Myung Bak group's action to punish on charges of being "violent demonstrators" those citizens who participated in peaceful rallies with candlelight in protest against the unpopular policy of the "government" clearly showed what extent its moves to revive the fascist dictatorship reached.

They urged the "government" not to suppress the participants in the above-said rallies on charges of violation of the "law on assembly and demonstration" but punish the police who mercilessly suppressed them, threatening citizens and firing water cannons against them at random.

At the end of the conference the members of the organization launched a "movement for boycotting the payment of the fine."
