Korean Exhibition Held in Vietnam
Pyongyang, October 3 (KCNA) -- A Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibition was held at the Ho Chi Minh Museum in Ho Chi Minh City from Sept. 26 to Oct. 1 to mark the 50th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's visit to Vietnam and the 60th birthday of the DPRK.

On display in the exhibition hall were famous works of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il, photos showing their immortal exploits, books and photos introducing Songun Korea, handicrafts associated with wisdom and talents of the Korean people and photos dealing with the history of friendship between the two countries.

Attending its opening ceremony were personages of different circles and popular masses in Ho Chi Minh City including the vice-chairman of the City People's Committee. Present on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to Vietnam and staff members of the embassy and members of the delegation of the Korean General Bureau of Exhibition.

Speeches were made there.

The vice-chairman of the Ho Chi Minh City People's Committee said that the peoples of the two countries have long developed the relationship of friendship and mutual understanding provided by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung.

He expressed belief that the exhibition would greatly contribute to deepening friendship and understanding between the two countries by providing the Vietnamese people with an opportunity to have a deep understanding of the DPRK and the achievements made by its government and people over the past six decades.
