KPA Delegation Leaves for Mongolia
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- A delegation of officials in charge of foreign affairs of the Korean People's Army led by Major General An Yong Gi left here today to visit Mongolia.
New Stamps Issued
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- New stamps (one kind of souvenir sheet and two kinds of sheetlets) have been issued in the DPRK to commemorate the 55th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War (July 27, 1953).
Printed on the stamps are the words "In commemoration of the 55th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War" and "Juche 42 (1953) - Juche 97 (2008)".
Reflected on the souvenir sheet is a picture showing President Kim Il Sung ascending a height ablaze with fierce battles during the war.
The sheetlets carry imperishable pictures showing the revolutionary activities of the President inspiring the army and people with the confidence of victory and courage while leading the war to the victory with his superb strategy and tactics.
Given there is a picture of the President waving to the cheering servicepersons and people with parade columns goose-stepping across the square celebrating the victory in the war as the background, the sky over which is decorated with fireworks.
Unpho Cave, Underground Scenic Beauty
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- The Unpho Cave in Hongwon County, South Hamgyong Province, is a rare big limestone cave on the east coast of Korea. It was discovered in Juche 56 (1967).
It is situated halfway up Mt. Hwanggye linked to the Pujonryong Ranges.
This cave was created in the limestone layer formed by the accumulation action in the Second Palaeozoic Era. There are good many underground ponds presenting a peculiar view.
Ponds over two meters deep alone number more than 10.
The cave consists of the main grotto, the upper grotto and the lower grotto.
In the cave, mysterious and beautiful views are unfolded by walls of graceful stalactites, stone flowers and stone pillars mingled together.
When you cross three passes after going through the square 13 meters from the entrance of the main grotto, you reach a pond of clean water called "Underground Sea Kumgang". Its scenery is also spectacular.
There are also fascinating scenes presented by a rock wall with rows of white stone stalactites, a rock called "glacier" which has been formed by lime water and a grotto with big and small stalactites of potato shape.
Wonsan Botanical Garden
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- The Wonsan Botanical Garden is located in Songdowon, Kangwon Province, where working people from all walks of life and school youth and children acquire botanical knowledge.
It was built in September Juche 48 (1959) in the form of park, blended with the scenery of the Songdowon beach.
Beautiful is the view of the garden with the sea as its background.
There grow more than 1,500 species of plants in the garden.
It consists of main districts such as tree-wooded, flowering plant, medicinal herb and ornamental forest districts and economic plant district covering over 60 hectares.
Good species of trees including pine-nut tree and larch have been planted in good order in the economic plant district.
The botanical garden is a centre for scientific research into preserving and cultivating needle-leaf trees growing in alpine areas and plants growing in southern regions.
The garden is also visited by botanists and academic delegations from various countries and campers of the Songdowon International Children's Camp.
Lee's Moves to Knock into Shape "Triangular Military Alliance" Blasted
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- The moves of the Lee Myung Bak group to knock into shape the "triangular military alliance" are absolutely intolerable in the era of "By our nation itself," the era of independent reunification as they are a revelation of their idea of betraying the nation and following the warlike foreign forces and consciousness of north-south confrontation and ambition to invade the north.
Rodong Sinmun today observes this in a signed article.
It goes on:
The Lee group has rolled up its sleeves to form the "triangular military alliance" with the U.S. and Japan. This is a criminal move to bring back the past era of north-south confrontation, swimming against the trend of the era of independent reunification.
The above-said moves cannot be construed otherwise than dangerous rash acts to realize their ambition to invade the north in collusion with the foreign forces.
The above-mentioned "triangular military alliance" has actually emerged a strong entity due to the servile and mean pro-U.S. and pro-Japanese sycophantic policy of the Lee group and its ambition to invade fellow countrymen at any cost, backed by the foreign forces.
What should not be overlooked is the fact that the south Korean authorities have expressed their will to participate in the PSI and the missile defence system which are nothing but the U.S.-led sieges to the DPRK.
Japan has already become an active player in the PSI and MD. It is as clear as a pikestaff that south Korea's involvement in them would result in further tightening the "triangular military alliance," escalating the military tension on the Korean Peninsula to an extreme phase and bringing catastrophic consequences in the end.
The moves of the south Korean puppets to knock into shape the "triangular military alliance" are a blatant challenge to the sincere efforts of the DPRK to defuse the military confrontation and tension on the peninsula, build a solid peace-keeping mechanism and create the nation's new history of reunification and prosperity.
Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Work Observed
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today dedicates a signed article to the 22nd anniversary of the publication of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's famous work "On Some Problems of Education in the Juche Idea".
The work, published on July 15, Juche 75 (1986), clearly expounds the principled matters arising in including all types of ideological education in education in the Juche idea and steadily deepening them.
The past 20 odd years since the publication of the work were a period when the Korean revolution faced harsh ordeals in unprecedentedly complicated situation. However, the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people have firmly defended the banner of socialism despite of the worst adversity, the article said, and went on:
Thanks to the wise leadership of the WPK which has ceaselessly intensified the education in the Juche idea, the whole society has been replete with the spirit of devotedly defending the headquarters of the revolution and the Korean people have grown to be genuine patriots in the era of Songun, persons with strong sense of national dignity and ardent patriotism, displaying their might as the revolutionary people with steadfast anti-imperialist class consciousness.
Now the Korean people have become resolute vanguard fighters and heroic people in the anti-imperialist class struggle as the WPK has educated the people in a revolutionary manner guided by the Juche idea, the Songun idea.
Today the U.S. imperialists and other imperialists and class enemies are getting evermore vicious in the moves to dull the revolutionary consciousness and the class consciousness of the Korean army and people and undermine the Korean-style socialism from within. But they can never weaken the revolutionary spirit and the class consciousness of the Korean people regarding the Juche idea, the Songun idea as their faith. The Korean people clearly see through the reactionary nature and danger of the imperialists' ideological and cultural poisoning and psychological warfare while resolutely smashing any slight attempt for such campaign.
The army and people of the DPRK will in the future, too, decisively frustrate the moves of the imperialists with steadfast anti-imperialist class consciousness and steadfastly adhere to the socialist principle in the revolution and construction.
Koreans' Organizations in Japan to Join in Candlelight Actions
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- The south Korean Federation for Democracy and Unity in Japan, the south Korean Youth League in Japan and the south Korean Democratic Women's Association in Japan issued a joint statement titled "Lee Myung Bak government should draw a lesson from history and follow people's mind-set" on July 1.
The statement accused the Lee group of having brutally cracked down upon the ceaseless candlelight actions against the import of American beef in different places of south Korea including Seoul recently.
Noting that the mind-set reflected in tens of thousands, nay hundreds of thousands of participants in candlelight actions does not simply manifest their opposition to the American beef import, the statement held that these actions are an eruption of the resentment of the people at the Lee group submitting to the U.S., pursuing an economic policy in favor of the rich only and following the self-righteous and arrogant policy of negating the June 15 era of reunification.
The "government's" official permission given to the police to use liquid tear gas is little short of considering the people as an "enemy" and declaring a war against them, the statement held, urging it to draw a lesson from the history in which the south Korean people did not yield to the fascist dictatorial regime's suppression and follow their mind-set.
Demanding Lee lend an ear to the voices of the people, conduct the renegotiations with the U.S., ensure the freedom of assembly and immediately release the arrested and detained citizens, the statement called on the "government" to firmly preserve and thoroughly implement the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
The Koreans' organizations in Japan express warm solidarity with the patriotic citizens in south Korea struggling in defiance of any crackdown by the Lee Myung Bak "government" and will join in the candlelight actions now under way in different countries, declared the statement.
Anniversary of Demise of Kim Il Sung Commemorated in Several Countries
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- Meetings to remember President Kim Il Sung were held in India, Austria and Uganda and seminars in Bulgaria, South Africa and Syria between July 3 and 8 on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of his demise.
Displayed in the venues of the functions were works of the President and General Secretary Kim Jong Il and photos showing their undying feats.
The chairman of the Indian Youth Group for the Study of Works of Comrade Kim Il Sung in his speech made at the meeting to remember the President said that he was the greatest man in history, adding that when looking back upon the history of his revolution, everybody can be convinced that the path of independence indicated by the Juche idea is, indeed, the road of justice, truth and sure victory.
Speakers including Lyudmil Kostadinov, chief of the Bulgarian Group for the Study of the Juche Idea, noted that the President had led the Korean revolution to victory till the last moments of his life since he embarked upon the road of the struggle to save the destiny of the country and the nation.
The chairman of the Group for the Study of the Progressive Ideas of South Africa at a seminar stressed that the President was the father of all the people who made an immortal contribution to the human cause of independence by founding the man-centered Juche idea, clearly indicating the way of carving out the destiny of humankind and achieving its independent development for the first time in history, and rendering positive support to the people of many countries including the African countries in their struggle to build a new society.
Messages to Kim Jong Il were adopted at a meeting to remember the President and a seminar held in Austria and Bulgaria.
Kim Il Sung's Exploits Praised by Foreign Figures
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- Figures of Bangladesh and Syria issued statements on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.
Khaleq Zaman Bhuiyan, chairman of the Central Committee of the Socialist Party of Bangladesh, in his statement issued on July 7 said that the world progressives remember with deep reverence the exploits the President performed by making an immortal contribution to the human cause of independence.
The President was an invincible iron-willed commander who, after embarking upon the road of the revolutionary struggle in his early years, founded the immortal Juche idea, which occupies a shining place in the human history of thought, liberated Korea on its basis and led the three-year long Korean war fought against the U.S. imperialists to victory, he noted, adding:
The President was the father of socialist Korea and benevolent father of the people as he built a country centered on the popular masses in Korea and a peerlessly great man who dedicated all his life to the reunification of the country divided by foreign forces, the strengthening and development of the socialist movement and the victorious advance of the human cause of independence.
Saber Ballul, head of a department of the Political Faculty of University of Damascus, said in his statement issued on July 1 that the President's history of the revolutionary struggle and his exploits are recognized not only by the friends of the world but by enemies.
Noting that the President set an example to be followed by the leaders of the world, he emphasized that the President was a revolutionary fighter, outstanding thinker and theoretician and the greatest man who dedicated all his life to the struggle against imperialism and colonialism and for the people's freedom, independence and justice.
U.S. Urged to Stop Any DPRK-targeted War Exercises
Pyongyang, July 15 (KCNA) -- The Peace Action Committee of Nepal issued a statement on July 7 in denunciation of the U.S. provocative war exercises against the DPRK.
If the United States truly wants to drop its hostile policy toward the DPRK and seek a negotiated solution to any issue, it should stop all the war exercises and schemes against the DPRK, the statement said.
The U.S. recently decided to start the process of taking the DPRK off the list of "state sponsors of terrorism" and exempt it from the "Trading with the Enemy Act", it noted, adding: It is high time that one party stopped war exercises of threatening and standing against the other party.

Pyongyang, 15 de julio (ATCC) -- La "alianza militar tripartita", que persigue la banda de Lee Myung Bak, es la manifestacion de su servilismo a las fuerzas extranjeras de caracter antinacional y belicoso, conciencia conflictiva con el Norte y de su ambicion de agredir a este.
Critica el diario Rodong Sinmun en un articulo individual divulgado el dia 15 y prosigue:
Por lo tanto, esa alianza resulta incompatible con la epoca de reunificacion independiente que avanza segun el ideal de "Entre nosotros, los connacionales".
La bande de Lee toma parte activa en la formacion de la "alianza" con EE.UU. y Japon cometiendo asi otro acto criminal que hace renacer el pasado de la confrontacion fratricida Norte-Sur en desafio a la corriente de la epoca hacia la reunificacion independiente.
La alianza en cuestion se fortalece practicamente en virtud de la baja y asquerosa politica servil a EE.UU. y Japon de la banda de Lee y su ambicion belicosa de agredir a toda costa al coterraneo Norte.
Lo que no se puede pasar por alto es que las autoridades surcoreanas exponen su intencion de participar en la "Iniciativa de Seguridad contra la Proliferacion", que resulta el cerco anti-RPDC en que EE.UU. juega el papel protagonico, y el Sistema Antimisiles, en que ya esta incorporado Japon.
Cuando el Sur de Corea se sume a ello, se vera fortalecida la alianza que exacerbara al extremo la tension militar de la Peninsula Coreana y causara al fin y al cabo las consecuencias catastroficas.
Tales maniobras de los titeres surcoreanos constituyen un desafio frontal a los sinceros esfuerzos de la RPDC por aliviar la confrontacion y la tension militares en la Peninsula Coreana, establecer el sistema de paz duradera y escribir la nueva historia nacional de reunificacion y prosperidad.
Editados sellos por 55o aniversario del triunfo en guerra
Pyongyang, 15 de julio (ATCC) -- Se dieron a luz en Corea los sellos conmemorativos (3 papeles enterizos, de ellos uno de pequeno tamano) del 55o aniversario del triunfo del pueblo coreano en la Guerra de Liberacion de la Patria (1950-1953).
Los sellos conllevan las frases de "En conmemoracion del 55o aniversario del triunfo en la Guerra de Liberacion de la Patria" y "El 42 (1953) de la Era Juche - el 97 (2008) de la Era Juche".
El papel enterizo de pequeno tamano tiene el sello componente donde aparece la imagen del Presidente Kim Il Sung subiendo a una cota en llamas durante dicha contienda belica.
Los otros papeles muestran las escenas relativas a las actividades revolucionarias del Presidente quien redoblo la fe en la victoria y el coraje del ejercito y el pueblo guiando a la victoria la guerra con sus diestras estrategias y metodos de combate.
Ademas, insertan la imagen del Presidente encontrandose entre los militares del Ejercito Popular de Corea y los habitantes, en el trasfondo de la cual se ven las columnas del desfile militar por la victoria en la guerra marchando a pasos firmes por la plaza coronada con fuegos artificiales.
Personalidades de Bangladesh y Siria elogian hazanas de Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, 15 de julio (ATCC) -- Con motivo del 14o aniversario del fallecimiento del Presidente Kim Il Sung, las personalidades de Bangladesh y Siria hicieron publicas sendas declaraciones.
El presidente del Comite Central del Partido Socialista de Bangladesh, Khaleq Zaman Bhuiyan, senalo en su nota fechada 7 que los pueblos progresistas del mundo recuerdan con gran emocion las imborrables hazanas de Su Excelencia el Presidente Kim Il Sung quien hizo un enorme aporte a la causa de independencia de la humanidad.
Anadio que el Presidente es invencible Comandante de Acero quien tras emprender temprano el camino de la lucha revolucionaria, creo la inmortal idea Juche, que ocupa un lugar importante en la historia de concepcion de pensamientos de la humanidad, y basandose en ella, logro la liberacion del pais y condujo a la victoria la trienal guerra coreana contra el imperialismo yanqui.

Jardin Botanico de Wonsan
Pyongyang, 15 de julio (ATCC) -- En Songdowon de la provincia de Kangwon se halla el Jardin Botanico de Wonsan donde los trabajadores de distintos sectores, jovenes y ninos escolares adquieren conocimientos botanicos.
El jardin fue creado en septiembre del 48 (1959) de la Era Juche en forma de parque de recreacion que se ajusta al paisaje de la playa Songdowon del Mar Este.
Mas de mil 500 variedades de plantas distribuidas en 4 areas principales como la de arboles, la de flores, la de plantas medicinales y la de plantas ornamentales, asi como en un campo de plantas de valor economico extendido en mas de 60 hectareas donde crecen el pino pinonero, el alerce y otros arboles de buena variedad.
El jardin es una de las bases de investigacion cientifica para mantener y cultivar los arboles coniferos que crecen en las zonas alpinas y las plantas meridionales.
El jardin lo recorrieron los botanicos y delegaciones cientificas de varios paises, jovenes y ninos escolares internados en el campamento internacional de ninos.
