CPRF Spokesman Answers Question Put by KCNA
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland (CPRF) on Monday gave the following answer to the question put by KCNA as regards the issue of inter-Korean summit talks touted again by the present chief executive of south Korea, when interviewed by Kyodo News:
As known, the summit meetings took place twice between the north and the south and produced important declarations.
However, Lee Myung Bak totally negated and ignored the summit meetings and declarations which were unanimously hailed and supported by the whole nation and world.
It is preposterous, therefore, for him to talk about the summit talks.
It is absolutely intolerable to overturn the north-south declarations on account of the change of power as it is a rude behavior betraying the lack of any elementary morality and a blatant act of chilling the desire of the whole nation. It is quite clear that it is impossible to sit at the negotiating table with such man.
Worse still, he asserted that the nuclear issue should be discussed at the north-south summit talks despite the fact that the issue is now being settled at the six-party talks. This proves that he seeks a sinister aim.
The issue of summit talks peddled by Lee cannot be construed otherwise than a ploy to evade the responsibility for having bedeviled the inter-Korean relations, get rid of the situation where he stands isolated at home and abroad and mislead the public opinion.
Lee Myung Bak would be well advised to clarify his stand towards the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration before talking about the summit talks.
Documentary Film Screened
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Documentary film "The Fatherly Leader among Servicepersons" was screened at the People's Palace of Culture on Monday to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung.
The film tells about historical facts that the President had shown warm love, deep trust and great benevolence for servicepersons, finding himself among them until the last period of his life from the very day when the country was liberated.
It also deals with the facts that he started the revolutionary cause of Juche with Songun and steadily strengthened and developed the People's Army into the pillar of the Korean revolution, an invincible revolutionary army.
Appreciating the film were senior party and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party, officials of working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions and working people in the city of Pyongyang.
Remembrance Concert Held
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- A remembrance concert of women and members of the women's union "We Long to See Sunny Smile" was held at the Central Workers' Hall on Monday on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.
The concert which began with chorus "Ardent Longing" included chorus "Nostalgia", an immortal masterpiece, and solo "Leader Is Always with Us" and other unforgettable songs.
The stories told by those related to revolutionary activities of the President about what profound loving care he showed for them so that they might grow to be singers and famous actors and actresses loved by the people and the songs presented by them mesmerized the audience.
The performers in chorus "The General Is Identical to the Leader", chorus "Whenever We Think of the Path of Songun" and other numbers praised the greatness of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, a creditable successor to the cause of the President.
The concert was appreciated by Kim Jung Rin, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, officials and members of the women's union.
Floral Basket to Statue of Kim Il Sung from China
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- A floral basket was sent to the statue of President Kim Il Sung on Mansu Hill by the family of Zhou Wei, daughter of Zhou Baozhong, Chinese related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, to commemorate the 14th anniversary of his demise.
The basket was laid before the statue on Monday.
Good-quality Cosmetics Developed
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Cosmetics Factory has reported achievements in developing more cosmetics of high quality.
The technicians and workers there have of late developed specific cosmetics of new varieties catering to the tastes of the Koreans with raw materials abundant in the country in close contact with teachers of Kim Il Sung University, Kim Chaek University of Technology, Han Tok Su Pyongyang University of Light Industry and other universities and researchers of scientific institutes under the State Academy of Sciences.

Last Autograph of President Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung left an immortal autograph "Kim Il Sung, July 7, 1994" on a document one day before his demise.
These words reflect the whole life of the President who put forward to reunify the country as the supreme task of the nation and performed undying feats in the efforts to accomplish the cause, withstanding all the ordeals of history.
From the first days following the partition of the country, he had made unremitting efforts and wisely led the struggle for national reunification.
He, with a deep penetration into the unexpected territorial division after the liberation of the country, clarified that the split of the nation was the outcome of the U.S. imperialists' Korean policy, not one caused by its internal contradiction and, therefore, the reunification issue was to realize the complete sovereignty of the Korean nation and to achieve the national unity.
Basing himself on it, he consistently adhered to the line of one Korea, the line of independent reunification in the whole course of leading the reunification cause and set forth reasonable and correct policies and proposals in each stage of the development of the reunification movement.
Early in the 1970s he made public at home and abroad the three principles of national reunification, thus providing a fundamental stand and way to solve the reunification issue to suit the nation's intention and interest by its own efforts.
The Korean nation, therefore, came to have an immortal banner for the reunification cause, a powerful precious sword.
Besides, he advanced the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo (1980) and 10-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation for the reunification of the country (1993). In this course, he made imperishable exploits to be handed down through the history of the nation.
In the last year of his great life he energetically led the reunification movement.
On July 7, Juche 83 (1994), he read the historic document related to national reunification as a preparatory work for the North-South summit to be held for the first time since the division of the nation and wrote the words "Kim Il Sung, July 7, 1994" on its first page.
The noble intention of the President for reunification is being carried forward by General Secretary Kim Jong Il with credit today.

The last 10-odd years were unforgettable years which witnessed the grimmest ordeals in the history of building a prosperous and powerful nation.
The world was watching the political situation in the DPRK when the state was mourning the demise of the President in deepest sorrow. At that historical moment, Kim Jong Il declared his unshakable will, stating that there could be no other way but the way indicated by the President and the nation should achieve the prosperity of the country by bringing the intention of President into reality, no matter how long a time it might take.
His firm will to realize the President's desire at any cost, holding ever higher the banner of Songun, lifted up the whole land from the sea of bitter tears and powerfully roused it to a new general advance.
The soldiers, deeply inspired by his trust in them that was manifested in putting the People's Army as the main force of the revolution, have steeled themselves into a matchless army, a formidable army sharing the same idea and faith, and won victory after victory in the fierce anti-U.S. confrontation under the guidance of the brilliant commander of Songun.

Mammoth Candlelight Marches Staged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Mammoth candlelight marches to declare the victory of people from all walks of life were staged in different parts of south Korea on July 5 to demand renegotiations on the import of American beef and denounce the Lee Myung Bak group's unpopular policy.
The candlelight struggle staged in Seoul brought together more than 500,000 people including members of civic and public organizations representing different circles, students of primary, middle and higher schools and universities and citizens. It was also participated in by Catholics, Christians, Buddhists and religionists of the four orders of Round Buddhism and "national assemblymen" from opposition parties.
Speeches were made at the 59th candlelight rally held in the plaza of the city office.
A declaration read out at the rally declared no force could ever divide the people united as kin in the course of struggling alongside, braving the crackdown by the police brandishing shields and firing water cannons.
At the end of the rally its participants started a mammoth candlelight march.
They held another rally after returning to the above-mentioned plaza.
A letter of protest to traitor Lee read out at the rally recalled that all people including members of civic and public organizations, religious circles and political parties declared their victory.
Prior to the candlelight struggle, the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions held a rally near the plaza of the city office to declare a head-on struggle against the Lee regime and win the July struggle. This was attended by at least 15 000 members of the confederation.
Ri Sok Haeng, chairman of the confederation, addressing the rally, declared the unionists would struggle to the last, aware that all of them might be arrested while fighting to protect the people's right to health.
The south Korean Federation of Peasants Associations held a rally to protest against the moves to conclude the south Korea-U.S. FTA and urge the authorities to guarantee the peasants' right to existence.
The headquarters for the joint struggle of "electrical, gas, railway, subway and airport workers' unions" made up of 10 public enterprise workers' unions including the Railway Workers' Union held a rally to vow to launch an all-out struggle against the "government's" policy for privatizing public enterprises.
These organizations participated in the above-said march at the end of the rallies.
Similar candlelight marches were simultaneously staged in different parts of south Korea.
Suppression of Candlelight Actions in S. Korea Blasted
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- The Federation of Koreans in the U.S. issued a statement on July 2 denouncing the puppet authorities for their violent fascist suppression of the just candlelight actions being staged by south Korean people from all walks of life.
Accusing the police of searching the offices of the People's Measure Council against the Total Opening of south Korean Markets to American Beef and the Solidarity for Progress of south Korea and arresting their members on June 30, the statement termed this campaign a plot to create dissension between the organizations and people participating in the candlelight actions.
The statement stressed that the people would never tolerate such unwarranted suppression by the police as perpetrating a search operation to block the candlelight actions, lending no ear to the voices of their participants.
The intensified crackdown of the Lee Myung Bak's "government" would only touch off bitterer resentment among the people and, consequently, this group of traitors will be bound to face a judgment by history, the statement warned, and continued:
The Koreans in the U.S. and all other compatriots overseas will positively support and encourage the compatriots in south Korea in their struggle.
Anniversary of July 4 Joint Statement Observed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Different organizations in south Korea separately issued statements on July 4 on the occasion of the 36th anniversary of the publication of the July 4 joint statement.
The South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification in a statement titled "Let's adhere to the three principles of independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity" noted that the validity of the July 4 joint statement the keynote of which is the three principles of national reunification was reconfirmed by the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
It accused the Lee Myung Bak conservative regime opposed to reunification of totally negating the successes achieved in the process of national reconciliation and unity in the idea of "By our nation itself" and desperately working to bring the June 15 era of reunification back to the era of confrontation and division these days.
The Youth and Students Solidarity for Implementing the June 15 Joint Declaration in a statement titled "Let's achieve independence, peaceful reunification and great national unity by implementing the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration" said that the struggle for opening a rosy prospect of independent reunification, peace and prosperity of the country is an acute struggle against the U.S. and pro-U.S. conservative forces, its lackeys. It called upon the youth and students to uphold the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration as a lifeline of the nation and positively turn out in the struggle to implement them.
The Federation of south Korean Trade Unions in its statement said that the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration are the agreements common to the nation which do not allow anyone to modify or scrap them, strongly demanding the "government" make a switchover in its "policy towards the north."
Renegotiations on Beef Import Demanded in S. Korea
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Educational organizations of south Korea including the Teachers' Union and the Council of Professors for Democracy made public a declaration on the situation on July 4, demanding the renegotiations on the import of American beef, according to MBC of south Korea.
The organizations in the declaration charged that the "government" enforced the "official instructions" on the sanitary conditions for the import of American beef while attempting to put media under its control.
They held that the Lee Myung Bak "government" should come out to the renegotiations on the beef import as demanded by the people.
Anniversary of Kim Il Sung's Demise Commemorated
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- The United Confederation of Koreans in Russia held a seminar for remembering President Kim Il Sung and his exploits in Moscow on July 3 on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of his demise.
At the seminar an address was made and then followed speeches on the subjects of "Socialist Korea and President Kim Il Sung", "Eternal President Kim Il Sung" and "Whole life based on the idea of believing in people as in Heaven".
Speakers praised the President as the great leader of the Korean people and the world socialist movement.
They noted that the President, who embarked upon the road of revolution in his teens, devoted all his life to the country and the people and achieved the enormous exploits for the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence with his unusual thinking and pursuit and tireless efforts.
They said that the immortal idea and feats of the President are now being creditably carried forward by General Secretary Kim Jong Il and the President is always alive with socialist Korea.
They stressed that the officials of the confederation and Koreans in Russia would dynamically wage the movement for national reunification under the banner of "By our nation itself".
Present at the seminar were Chairman Choe Pong Gil, First Vice-Chairman Sok Song and other officials of the confederation and compatriots and staff members of the DPRK embassy in Moscow.
Anniversary of Kim Il Sung's Demise Commemorated
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- Film shows were arranged by companies of Russia, Laos and India on June 23 and 26 to commemorate the 14th anniversary of the demise of President Kim Il Sung.
The participants of the shows watched the Korean films dealing with the revolutionary life of the peerlessly great man and his undying feats.
After watching a film the general manager of the Russian company praised Kim Il Sung as a world-famous great man, saying: Though he passed away, the Korean people have continuously made signal achievements in socialist construction and the cause of national reunification under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il who is creditably carrying forward his cause.
The deputy manager of the Laotian company said that the revolutionary life of the President, who founded the immortal Juche idea and turned socialist Korea into an invincible power, is a great life no other great persons in the world can match.

Kim Il Sung Remembered by Foreigners
Hamhung, July 7 (KCNA) -- A meeting to remember President Kim Il Sung was held by crewmen of a Sierra Leonean-flagged ship on the occasion of the 14th anniversary of his demise at Hungnam Port.
It was attended by the captain and crewmen of the Sierra Leone-flagged ship.
Speakers at the meeting praised the President who devoted his noble life to the country and people and the cause of global independence, noting that the exploits performed by him on behalf of the times and history would be conveyed down through generations.
Saying that the President will always live in the hearts of the Korean people and progressive humankind, the speakers stressed only victory and glory would be in store for the Korean people dynamically advancing under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
The revolutionary cause of Juche pioneered by the President is sure to be successfully accomplished under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il, they emphasized.
Kim Jong Il's Feats in Leading Party Praised
Pyongyang, July 7 (KCNA) -- It is entirely thanks to the tested leadership of Kim Jong Il that the Workers' Party of Korea has steadily advanced along the road of victory without any mistake or slightest deviation in line, thus becoming the model to be followed by the world progressive political parties.
A politburo member and secretary of the Congolese Party of Labour stressed this in a statement issued on June 18 to mark the 44th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's start of work at the WPK Central Committee.
The statement noted that the leadership of Kim Jong Il in building the party had strengthened and developed the WPK into the revolutionary party of Juche type and victoriously advanced Korean-style socialism.
It confirmed that the Congolese Party of Labour would further develop the friendly and cooperative relations with the Workers' Party of Korea in the future, too.

Librada en Sur de Corea gran marcha con velas encendidas
Pyongyang, 7 de julio (ATCC) -- En distintas partes del Sur de Corea se realizo el dia 5 la "gran marcha con velas encendidas para la declaracion del triunfo del pueblo del 5 de Julio" de habitantes de distintos sectores en demanda de las renegociaciones de la importacion de la carne de res norteamericana y en rechazo a la politica antipopular de la banda de Lee Myung Bak.
En la lucha librada en Seul participaron mas de 500 mil en total incluyendo los miembros de entidades civiles y sociales de diferentes sectores, alumnos de las escuelas primarias, secundarias y superiores, estudiantes y ciudadanos.
Se unieron a ellos los afiliados de las entidades de 4 religiones, o sea, el catolicismo, el cristianismo, el budismo y el budismo redondo y los "parlamentarios" de los partidos de oposicion.
Con anterioridad, tuvo lugar el 59o mitin con velas encendidas en la plaza frente al ayuntamiento, ocasion en la cual hubo discursos.
La declaracion leida en el mitin enfatiza que no podran separar de ninguna manera a los ciudadanos que se unieron en uno como hermanos fraternales a lo largo de luchar juntos contra los escudos y canones de agua de los policias.
Terminado el acto, los participantes iniciaron la gran marcha con velas encendidas.
De vuelta a la plaza del ayuntamiento, los participantes abrieron otro mitin, y la carta de protesta al traidor Lee Myung Bak leida en este se refiere al hecho de que toda la poblacion incluyendo las entidades civiles y sociales, el circulo religioso y los partidos politicos declaro el triunfo del pueblo.
Antes de la lucha con velas, la Confederacion de Sindicatos Surcoreanos realizo en alrededores de la misma plaza el "mitin de la proclamacion de la lucha frontal contra el poder de Lee Myung Bak y de juramentacion del triunfo de la lucha de Julio" con la participacion de mas de 15 mil gremiales.
En este acto, el presidente de dicha entidad Ri Sok Haeng enfatizo que todos sus miembros lucharan hasta el final por defender el derecho a la salud del pueblo sin temer el arresto.
Por otra parte, la Confederacion Nacional de las Sociedades de los Campesinos efectuo el mitin para rechazar las maniobras de concertacion del "Tratado de Libre Comercio" Sur de Corea-EE.UU. y demandar a las autoridades asegurar el derecho a la existencia del campesinado.
Tambien, la "direccion de lucha conjunta de los dominios de la electricidad, el gas, el ferrocarril, el metro y el aeropuerto" compuesta del "Sindicato Nacional del Ferrocarril" y otras 9 entidades sindicales de empresas publicas sostuvo el acto de inicio de lucha general contra la politica del "gobierno" de privatizar las empresas publicas.
Una vez terminados esos actos, las entidades participaron en la "gran marcha con velas encendidas para la declaracion del triunfo del pueblo del 5 de Julio"
La gran marcha con velas se realizo simultaneamente en distintas localidades del Sur de Corea.
Concierto de recordacion al Presidente Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, 7 de julio (ATCC) -- Tuvo lugar este lunes en la Casa Central de los Obreros el concierto de las mujeres y las miembros de la Union de Mujeres Democraticas de Corea en memoria del Presidente Kim Il Sung "Anoramos la amplia sonrisa" en ocasion del 14o aniversario de su fallecimiento.
Las ejecutantes pusieron en la escena iniciada con el coro "Corriente de anoranza" la obra clasica en coro "Cancion 'Nostalgia'", el solo "El Lider siempre junto a nosotros" y otras canciones inolvidables.
Conmocionaron mucho al publico los relatos y canciones de las relacionadas que crecieron como cantantes y artistas famosas adoradas por el pueblo bajo la atencion benigna del Presidente Kim Il Sung.
En el coro "El Lider y el General son iguales", el coro "Pensando en el camino del Songun" y otras piezas las ejecutantes elogiaron la noble personalidad del Dirigente Kim Jong Il quien continua de modo brillante la causa del Presidente.

Ultimo autografo del Presidente Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, 7 de julio (ATCC) -- El Presidente Kim Il Sung dejo en el ultimo periodo de su vida el siguiente autografo "Kim Il Sung, 7.7.1994".
En estas letras esta impregnada toda la vida del Presidente quien al presentar la reunificacion de la patria como la tarea suprema de la nacion marco cada paso con la infatigable direccion para lograr esta causa superando todas las pruebas de la historia.
Desde el primer dia de la division de la patria, el Presidente hizo infatigables y consecuentes esfuerzos al guiar sabiamente la lucha por realizar la reunificacion de la patria.
Al percatarse de la inesperada division del territorio nacional, creada despues de la liberacion de la patria, el Presidente dio dilucidacion genial de que la division de la nacion coreana no se debe a la contradiccion interna sino es producto de la politica agresiva de Estados Unidos sobre Corea y de que por consiguiente la reunificacion de la patria es un problema para realizar completamente la soberania de la nacion coreana y lograr la unidad nacional.
A base de ello, durante todo el proceso de su direccion sobre la causa de reunificacion mantuvo invariablemente la linea independiente de "una Corea" y presento en cada etapa del desarrollo del movimiento por la reunificacion las orientaciones y los proyectos realistas y justos.
Al dar a conocer a principios de la decada de 1970 a todo el mundo los Tres Principios de la Reunificacion de la Corea, presento la posicion y el medio fundamental para resolver el problema de la reunificacion conforme a la voluntad y los intereses de la nacion y por la fuerza propia de esta.
Desde aquel entonces la nacion coreana pudo disponer de la inmortal bandera y poderoso remedio para lograr su reintegracion.
El Presidente presento en 1980 el proyecto de fundacion de la Republica Confederal Democratica de Coryo y en 1993 el programa de 10 puntos para la gran unidad nacional para la reunificacion de la patria y realizo asi inmarcesibles hazanas en la historia nacional.
En el ultimo ano de su vida tambien hizo infatigables esfuerzos por orientar el movimiento por la reunificacion.
El 7 de julio del 83 (1994) de la Era Juche el Presidente, al revisar un historico documento referido a la reunificacion de la patria como una labor de preparacion para las conversaciones de nivel supremo Norte-Sur a ser entabladas por primera vez luego de ser dividida la nacion, dejo en la primera pagina del documento su autografo "Kim Il Sung, 7.7.1994".
El noble proposito del Presidente para la causa de la reunificacion lo lleva adelante el Dirigente Kim Jong Il.
Con el fin de abrir sin falta en el nuevo siglo la nueva epoca de la reunificacion independiente, el Dirigente preparo en dos ocasiones el encuentro Cumbre Norte-Sur e hizo aprobar la Declaracion Conjunta del 15 de Junio y la Declaracion del 4 de Octubre que es un programa para llevarla a efecto. Asi devino una inspirante realidad en que se alza el grito de "Entre nosotros, los connacionales" en el territorio nacional.
El pueblo coreano guarda en lo profundo de su corazon el proposito del Presidente impregnado en su ultimo autografo y labora con entusiasmo por adelantar el futuro de la patria reunificada que anhelaba tanto el Presidente.
Proyectado documental coreano
Pyongyang, 7 de julio (ATCC) -- Con motivo del 14o aniversario del fallecimiento del Presidente Kim Il Sung se proyecto el dia 7 en el Palacio Cultural del Pueblo el documental coreano "El Lider padre junto con los militares".
El documental recopila los datos historicos de que desde los primeros dias de liberacion de la patria hasta el ultimo momento de su vida el Presidente Kim Il Sung se encontraba siempre junto con los militares y les dispensaba infinito amor, confianza y gran benevolencia.
