DPRK Foreign Ministry's Spokesman on U.S. Lifting of Major Economic Sanctions against DPRK
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the DPRK Foreign Ministry gave the following answer to the question put by KCNA Friday as regards the U.S. announcement of its decision to lift major economic sanctions against the DPRK:
On June 26 the U.S. made public a decision on starting the process of taking the DPRK off the list of "state sponsors of terrorism" and exempting it from the "Trading with the Enemy Act" as a practical measure for lifting economic sanctions against the DPRK under the October 3 agreement reached at the six-party talks.
The DPRK appreciates and hails this as a positive measure.
What is important in the days ahead is for the U.S. to fundamentally drop its hostile policy toward the DPRK, a policy that compelled it to have access to a nuclear deterrent.
The measure taken by the U.S. to lift the major sanctions which it has applied against the DPRK, listing it as an enemy state for more than half a century, should lead to totally withdrawing its hostile policy toward the DPRK in all fields in the future.
Only then can the denuclearization process make smooth progress along its orbit.
Other participating nations of the six-party talks should also fully honor their commitments to make economic compensations in time as already promised.
The six parties should have the fulfillment of all their commitments verified and monitored on the principle of the September 19 joint statement which calls for denuclearizing the whole Korean Peninsula in a verifiable manner.
The DPRK will sincerely implement the September 19 joint statement, closely following each party's fulfillment of its commitment on the principle of "action for action" in the future, too, as it submitted a complete and accurate declaration on its nuclear activities this time in keeping with the U.S. measure for political compensation.
Additional Negotiations on Beef Import Termed Humiliating Ones
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The Lee Myung Bak group, much upset by the massive resistance of infuriated south Koreans, are trying to calm down them through "special press conference," reshuffle and additional negotiations on beef import.
They are even talking about taking "measures related to economy and people's livelihood" and "accommodating requests of workers". In the meantime, they are busy hurling ultra-right conservative organizations into streets to perpetrate rash acts against candlelight demonstrations staged by people from all walks of life and egging conservative media on to hype "the change in the pure nature of candlelight demonstrations" while intensifying the fascist suppression of demonstrators by mobilizing a huge police force.
A spokesman for the National Reconciliation Council in a statement on June 27 said that even though the Lee group conducted additional negotiations with the U.S., much upset by the massive resistance of south Koreans from all walks of life, they proved once again to be humiliating negotiations as there was no change in essence and a cynical ploy to mislead public opinion and deceive the people.
Traitor Lee seeks to deceive and mock at the people the same way the military dictators usurped the fruits of the struggle for democratization through such political fraud as "June 29 declaration" during the June Popular Uprising more than two decades ago, the statement said, and went on:
Lee should clearly understand that it is no more than a daydream to try to hoodwink the people's mind-set and mislead public opinion at home and abroad by such a hackneyed method.
The ongoing candlelight actions in south Korea are, in essence, a stern punishment meted out to the Lee group for pursuing a sycophantic, treacherous and servile policy to serve the U.S.
It is a mockery at the people and threat and blackmail against them for the Lee group of traitors to talk about "the change in the pure nature of candlelight demonstrations."
With neither cynical ploy nor fascist suppression can they arrest the struggle of the south Korean people for an independent life.
The south Korean people should certainly foil the Lee group's appeasement and deception and blackmail and intensify the resistance and thus bring the group of traitors to their knees.
The group should unconditionally meet the unanimous demands of the south Korean people, clearly understanding that only shameful destruction awaits those who go against the desire of the people and the trend of the times.
Choe Thae Bok Meets Vietnamese Delegation
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Choe Thae Bok, chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK, met and had a friendly talk with the delegation of the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Parliamentary Group led by its Chairman Ksor Phuoc who is also chairman of the National Council of the Vietnamese National Assembly, at the Mansudae Assembly Hall Friday.
Present there were Kim Wan Su, chairman of the Korea-Vietnam Friendship Parliamentary Group, and Le Van Cu, Vietnamese ambassador to the DPRK.
Gift to Kim Jong Il from Vietnamese
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il received a gift from the Vietnam-Korea Friendship Parliamentary Group.
The gift was handed over to Choe Thae Bok, chairman of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly, Friday by Ksor Phuoc, chairman of the National Council of the Vietnamese National Assembly and chairman of the group, on a visit to the DPRK.
Anniversary of Kim Il Sung's Mongolia Visit Marked
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Mongolian Ambassador to the DPRK Sodovjamts Khurelbaatar gave a reception on Thursday to mark the 20th anniversary of President Kim Il Sung's visit to Mongolia.
Present there on invitation were Choe Thae Bok, chairman of the Supreme People's Assembly, Ri Ryong Nam, minister of Foreign Trade, Mun Jae Chol, acting chairman of the Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries, and officials concerned.
The ambassador said at the reception that Kim Il Sung's visit to Mongolia marked a historic occasion in developing the relations between the two countries. The Mongolian president and government, he said, pay deep attention to the development of the traditional friendly relations between the two countries.
He said that the Korean people have made successes in the efforts to realize national reunification and build a prosperous and powerful country under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il.
Choe Thae Bok said in his speech that Kim Il Sung's official goodwill visit to Mongolia was a historic visit as it developed the bilateral relations of friendship and cooperation with good tradition on to a higher stage.
Noting that these traditional bilateral relations have steadily developed on good terms in political, economic and other fields in recent years, Choe stressed that the DPRK would strive to dynamically promote the development of the bilateral relations in all respects.
Indian Embassy Officials Help Korean Farmers
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Indian Ambassador to the DPRK Zile Singh and his embassy officials today visited the DPRK-India Friendship Kalchon Cooperative Farm in Nampho to give a helping hand to its members busy with the immediate farming work.
They helped farmers in weeding on a corn-field.
During a break, they talked with farmers, deepening friendship.
The ambassador hoped that the farm would register success in farming for this year.
The embassy officials handed aid materials to the farm.
More Evidence Proving GIs' Atrocities Unearthed
Kaesong, June 26 (KCNA) -- More evidence proving the thrice-cursed atrocities perpetrated by the U.S. imperialists against the Korean people was unearthed and is now displayed at the Kaesong City Hall for Class Education.
Unearthed in the area of the children's hospital in the city were more than 60 syringes of different kinds, operation equipment, poison bottles, injections and others which U.S. missionaries used in killing Koreans while conducting experiments on their living bodies under the signboard of "treatment" at the "Namsong Hospital" in Kaesong early in the 1920s.
Cartridges, helmets and petrol drums used by the U.S. imperialist aggressors during the past Korean War were discovered at Mt. Songak and Manwol Hill, the site of king's palace dating back to the Koryo Dynasty.
They dropped lots of bombs and germ bombs and fired shells over Kaesong City and rural villages, not only reducing them to debris but destroying at least 10 mausoleums and monuments of kings of the Koryo Dynasty.

Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The Korean people are all out in a general offensive to build a Juche-oriented great, prosperous and powerful nation, full of conviction of sure victory and optimism about socialism.
Socialism is the life and soul of the Korean people.
It is a law of historical development that socialism is sure to emerge victorious for its scientific accuracy and truth.
Socialism is the ideal and aspiration of the popular masses that are endeavoring to realize the natural requirements of the social being to live and develop in an independent way.
The independent nature of the people cannot be changed as long as the social being remains and the independent demand of the popular masses will remain unchanged as long as they live as the masters of history. It, therefore, is entirely reasonable that socialism is the aspiration of the people.
Because socialism conforms to their independent demand, the popular masses have the unshakable resolution to meet it without fail.
No force on earth can break the will of the popular masses as it reflects the independent desire of the social being and the lawful requirements of historical development.
Socialism is certain to be crowned with victory as the transition from the society based on individualism to the society based on collectivism is the inevitable demand of historical development.
Man can exist and develop only when he acts as a member of the social collective and the social members can transform the nature and society and attain their independent demand only with their concerted efforts.
Being based on collectivism, socialism is the most advanced society conforming to the independent nature of man.

Lee Myung Bak's Remarks Flayed in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Opposition parties of south Korea criticized the reckless remarks of traitor Lee Myung Bak, who cried out for strictly countering the candlelight struggle against the American beef import, terming it "illegal demonstration."
A spokesman for the Democratic Party for Unity said that the remarks are aimed at creating an atmosphere of suppression to put down the people's mindset.
This goes to prove that the "special press conference" called by Lee Myung Bak on June 19 was no more than a trick to deceive people for a while, the spokesman said, warning that the people will never pardon him if he seeks to quell their mindset against the American beef import in the "Fifth Republic's" way of security rule.
The Democratic Labor Party warned that Lee Myung Bak should bear in mind the fact that all the policies of confrontation against the people ended in failure.
S. Korea Seeks to Introduce U.S.-made Military Equipment
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The south Korean puppet authorities are scheming to purchase the latest war hardware from the United States.
The puppets asked the U.S. to sell 125 AIM-120C-7s, 35 AGM-65Gs, 280 JDAMs and others.
The puppet bellicose forces recently announced that they would introduce 21 F-15Ks from 2010 to 2012. They are now planning to spend 200 million U.S. dollars in purchase of equipment to be loaded in those fighters.
Such moves are a dangerous scheme to round off preparations for a war of aggression against the DPRK by massively introducing ultra-modern military hardware for preemptive attack.
Lee's Moves to Enforce "Official Instructions" for Beef Import Blasted in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The Democratic Labor Party and other opposition parties of south Korea accused the Lee Myung Bak group of contemplating the enforcement of the "official instructions" concerning the hygienic conditions for American beef import, according to KBS, MBC and CBS of south Korea.
The "government" and the gentries of the Grand National Party of south Korea at their meeting held on June 25 made it clear that they would publish the minister's official instructions related to the import of beef in the official gazette within this week.
The group of traitors urged the opposition parties to show up in the "National Assembly" now, uttering that they were afraid of the trade friction with the U.S. in case the enforcement of the official instructions is delayed any longer.
In connection with this, the opposition parties including the Democratic Labor Party and the Democratic Party for Unity held "emergency meetings of lawmakers" and "meetings of presidium members" to denounce the reckless moves of the group of traitors.
The opposition parties accused Lee Myung Bak of mulling the enforcement of the "official instructions" after impudently opting to stand in confrontation with the people to serve the interests of American stock-breeders though he uttered he "deeply repented" of the negotiations conducted on the import of beef.
Recalling that the "government" and the ruling party claimed they would not make haste with enforcing the "official instructions" but made a turn in their stance all of a sudden, they charged this was aimed at concealing the truth about the inadequate additional negotiations with the U.S. The outcome of the additional negotiations published by the "government" is different from what was released by the U.S., they deplored.
The opposition parties condemned the humiliating action of the Lee Myung Bak "government" to enforce the "official instructions" while working hard to mislead the public opinion with rhetoric painting the additional negotiations as "perfect" despite the fact that they failed to protect neither the right to quarantine nor the people's right to health.
The enforcement of the "official instructions" is little short of the proclamation of a "martial law" to quell the will of the people, the opposition parties noted, declaring they would use all possible means to check the enforcement of those instructions and turn out in a non-confidence campaign against the "government" and the ruling party.
More than 30 lawmakers from the Democratic Party for Unity of south Korea launched a sit-in strike in front of the conference hall of the "National Assembly" on the evening of that day to demand Lee Myung Bak rectify his failed "state administration" and repeal the "official instructions".
In the meantime, the above-said party delivered a written protest to "Chongwadae" demanding the "government" stop at once its rash action to force the people to eat American beef fraught with the danger of "mad cow disease".
The Democratic Labor Party of south Korea went on a sit-in strike in front of "Chongwadae".
Candlelight Struggle against U.S. Beef Import Unabated in Seoul
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- More than 20,000 people from all walks of life in Seoul staged a candlelight struggle on June 25 in protest against American beef import.
Speakers at a meeting held around the plaza in front of the City Office denounced the reckless action taken by the Lee Myung Bak group to enforce the "official instructions" concerning the hygienic conditions for beef import at any cost, defying the protest of the people.
What the "government" has done suggests that it is full of lies from A to Z, they noted, declaring that they would carry on their candlelight actions till traitor Lee Myung Bak steps down.
A letter of protest to him was read out at the meeting.
Asking what he saw and heard from the candlelight actions staged by the people, the letter lashed out at him for paying no heed to the people's demand while accepting the "official instructions" of the U.S.
At the end of the meeting, its participants staged a demonstration toward "Chongwadae".
The protest lasted till the morning of June 26.
"Government's" Enforcement of "Official Instructions" Protested in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- People from all walks of life in south Korea on June 26 launched a strong protest against traitor Lee Myung Bak group's final enforcement of the "official instructions" related to the hygienic conditions for the American beef import.
The People's Measure Council against the Total Opening of South Korean Markets to American Beef Import held a press conference in Seoul at which it charged that the announcement of the "official instructions" in the official gazette is little short of sacrificing the people's lives.
The Solidarity Meeting of Civic and Public Organizations issued a declaration on behalf of 159 figures representing various civic and public organizations in which it demanded that an "agreement" reached at the additional negotiations should be immediately repealed as it lacked even the official signatures of negotiators of the U.S. and south Korean sides.
Members of 15 civic and public organizations including the Environment Movement Association and the People's Action for the Cancellation of the Canal Project conducted a meeting and a sit-in strike in Seoul before staging a demonstration toward "Chongwadae".
The south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions went on a general strike, upon hearing the news of the "government's" enforcement of the "official instructions."
Members of 73 women and consumers organizations staged an action to check the transportation of beef in Kwangju County, Kyonggi Province.
Opposition parties are strongly opposed to the "government's" enforcement of the "official instructions."
The Democratic Labor Party called a press conference at which it blasted the Lee "government" and the Grand National Party of south Korea for enforcing the above-said "instructions" and perpetrating indiscriminate violence and arrests and threatened to kick off a non-confidence campaign against the present regime deceiving the people.
At least 30 members of the Democratic Labor Party including Chon Yong Se, its representative, staged a demonstration toward "Chongwadae" to have an interview with Lee and held a protest meeting before the riot police who was trying to block their way.
The Democratic Party for Unity in an urgent statement dubbed the day "official instructions" were published in the official gazette a "day of humiliation."
Meanwhile, the Solidarity for Implementing the South-North Joint Declaration, the south Korean Teacher's Union and the Federation of south Korean Trade Unions released statements strongly protesting against the "government's official instructions" and demanding it immediately repeal them.

Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il's work "Let Us Carry Out the Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung's Instructions for National Reunification" was brought out in booklet by the Canta Clara Publishing House of Venezuela on June 18
The work published on August 4, Juche 86 (1997) deals with the undying feats performed by President Kim Il Sung in the cause of national reunification.
Kim Jong Il in his work formulated the three principles for national reunification, the ten-point programme for the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo as the three charters for national reunification and indicated the tasks to be fulfilled to accomplish the cause of national reunification on the basis of them and ways to do so.
Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Start of Work at C.C., WPK Observed in Peru
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The Revolutionary Socialist Party of Peru issued a bulletin titled "44 years of great history" on the occasion of the 44th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The bulletin in its article noted that Kim Jong Il developed and enriched the Juche idea founded by President Kim Il Sung as a guiding idea of the party and the times and has performed distinguished ideological and theoretical exploits.
It stressed that his famous works including "On the Juche Idea", "The Historical Lesson in Building Socialism and the General Line of Our Party", "On the Fundamentals of Revolutionary Party Building" and "Socialism Is a Science" serve as a solid ideological foundation of the WPK and people for carrying forward and accomplishing the cause of the President and a powerful ideological weapon for advancing socialism despite all difficulties and accomplishing the human cause of independence.
Noting that Kim Jong Il has developed the WPK into the most powerful party in the world, the bulletin added that the might and dignity of the WPK would be unthinkable without his leadership.
Korean People's Just Cause Supported by Mexican Party
Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- The People's Socialist Party of Mexico expressed full support to the Korean people in their just cause.
Jesus Antonio Carlos Hernandez, general secretary of the Central Committee of the party, in a speech at a meeting to commemorate the 60th anniversary of the party on June 20 said that all members of the party admired the Workers' Party and people of Korea that have waged a strenuous struggle to defend the dignity and sovereignty of the country under the wise guidance of President Kim Il Sung and General Secretary Kim Jong Il.

Pyongyang, June 27 (KCNA) -- Round-table talks, a film show, a friendly meeting and a photo exhibition took place in Iran, a lecture was given in Uganda and a reading session was held by the Secretariat of the Pan-African Movement from June 11 to 16 to mark the 44th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's start of work at the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea.
Speeches were made at the events.
The executive director of the International Relations Committee of the Iran Parties House said that Kim Jong Il has dedicated his all to strengthening the Party organizationally and ideologically and led it to conduct its activities guided by the revolutionary idea of President Kim Il Sung from the very day he started his work at the WPK Central Committee.
The DPRK could achieve successes in political, military, economic and all other fields despite the persistent moves of the U.S. styling itself the "world's only super power" to stifle the DPRK entirely because the WPK led by Kim Jong Il formed a harmonious whole with the popular masses, he stressed.
The manager of the Iran-Korea Friendship Magsal Agro-Stock Farm said that the people of the DPRK have made great achievements in all domains single-mindedly united around Kim Jong Il while resolutely smashing the moves of the U.S. and other imperialists.

Nuestro pais aplaude esta medida calificandola de positiva.
Lo importante, que queda por delante, es que EE.UU revoque de raices su politica hostil a nuestro pais que engendro nuestro disuasivo nuclear.
La presente decision de EE.UU. de levantar las principales sanciones aplicadas durante mas de medio siglo definiendo a la RPDC como pais enemigo debe dar paso a la retirada completa y global de su politica hostil a ella.
Solo de esta manera, el proceso de desnuclearizacion podra avanzar sin problemas siguiendo su orbita.
Los otros paises participantes en las conversaciones a 6 bandas deben cumplir tambien a tiempo y a cabalidad sus compromisos de recompensa economica.
Segun el principio de la Declaracion Conjunta del 19 de Septiembre de desnuclearizar toda la Peninsula Coreana de manera verificable, las 6 partes deben someterse todas a la verificacion y al monitoreo sobre el cumplimiento de sus deberes.

El director de Asuntos Politicos y Relaciones Internacionales del Movimiento Panafiricano y el jefe del Grupo de Estudio de la Politica de Songun (priorizacion militar) de la Escuela Media alta Coloro de Kampala de Uganda se refirieron a que el Dirigente preparo un modelo de construccion del partido revolucionario.
Exhibidas en Kaesong nuevas pruebas de salvajismo de yanquis
Kaesong, 26 de junio (ATCC) -- Fueron exhibidas en el Museo de Educacion Clasista de esta ciudad las nuevamente halladas pruebas de las imperdonables atrocidades que cometieron los imperialistas yanquis contra el pueblo coreano.
En el Hospital Pediatrico de la Ciudad de Kaesong fueron descubiertos mas de 60 jeringuillas, aparatos de operacion, frascos de veneno y liquidos inyectables de diferentes tipos usados por los misioneros norteamericanos para asesinar a los coreanos en los experimentos con seres humanos que llevaron a cabo bajo el rotulo de "tratamiento medico" tras instalar a principios de la decada de 1920 el "Hospital Namsong" en esta urbe.
En el monte Song-ak y la terraza Manwol, donde se enclavaba un palacio real durante el periodo de Coryo, aparecieron los casquillos, cascos y bidones de gasolina que utilizaron los invasores yanquis durante la pasada Guerra de Liberacion de la Patria (1950-1953).
Los yanquis redujeron a escombros la ciudad de Kaesong y los poblados rurales al lanzar incontables bombas, obuses y proyectiles bacteriologicos y destruyeron tambien mas de 10 mausoleos reales y lapidas de la epoca de Coryo.
