Kim Jong Il Pays Homage to Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace together with KPA commanding officers on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
He together with the commanding officers paid homage to President Kim Il Sung.
Among the commanding officers were Kim Kyok Sik, chief of the General Staff of the KPA, Kim Il Chol, minister of the People's Armed Forces, Kim Jong Gak, first deputy director of the General Political Department of the KPA, staff members of the KPA Supreme Command and KPA general officers.
National Meeting Held to Commemorate Birth Anniversary of Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- A national meeting was held at the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium today to commemorate the 96th birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
Present there were senior officials of the party, army and state, chairpersons of friendly parties, officials of party, armed forces and power bodies, public organizations, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army, officials in the fields of science, education, culture and arts, public health and the press, bereaved families of revolutionary martyrs, labor innovators, working people in the city, delegations of overseas Koreans and compatriots and the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front.
Present there on invitation were diplomatic envoys of various countries and representatives of international organizations here and foreign guests.
Kim Yong Nam, member of the Political Bureau of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea and president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, delivered a report at the meeting.
The reporter referred to the fact that Kim Il Sung, born in a patriotic and revolutionary family in Mangyongdae for several generations, led the historic struggle from the revolution for national liberation to socialist construction to victory for nearly a century, performing undying feats before the country and the revolution, the times and humankind.
Kim Il Sung was an outstanding thinker and theoretician who founded the immortal Juche idea, thus glorifying the DPRK as a homeland of the idea guiding the times and indicating the most correct way of accomplishing the popular masses' cause of independence, the reporter stressed.
Pointing to the fact that the President successfully accomplished the historic cause of national liberation through an anti-Japanese armed struggle and built the party, state and army after liberation, the reporter went on:
The army and people of the DPRK could defeat the two most ferocious and formidable imperialist enemies and emerge eternal masters of the country and their own destinies who successfully make a new history of national independence and the country's prosperity. This was entirely possible thanks to Kim Il Sung's extraordinary political and military wisdom and outstanding Songun revolutionary leadership.
The President led the deep-going social revolution of the two stages and the struggle for socialist construction to victory, thus freeing the Korean people from exploitation and oppression once and for all and building the socialist country of Juche shining with independence in politics, self-support in economy and self-reliance in national defence on this land where centuries-old backwardness and poverty once prevailed.
The President was the lodestar of the nation and the benefactor of human emancipation who paved a wide avenue for realizing the historic cherished desire for national reunification and made an undying contribution to the cause of global independence.
The reporter noted that the revolutionary idea and feats of the President have been firmly defended and successfully carried forward and developed by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
Pointing out that the revolutionary idea of the President, the Juche idea, serves as the steadfast guiding idea of the party and the state and an invincible banner of the Korean revolution, the reporter stressed the need to carry out the revolution and construction only as required by the Juche idea and the way the President did and hold him in high esteem as the sun of Juche for all ages.
He called for glorifying this year of the 60th anniversary of the foundation of the DPRK as a year of historical turn which will go down in the history of the country and flinging open the gate to a great prosperous powerful nation without fail in 2012 which will greet the centenary of birth of the President.
The DPRK will resolutely shatter the south Korean conservative ruling forces' sycophancy towards the U.S. and confrontation with the north and usher in a new era of independent reunification, peace and prosperity, he declared.
The DPRK will oppose and reject the imperialists' moves for domination, intervention and war and strive hard to defend the peace and security in Asia and the rest of the world, he added.
Similar meetings took place in provinces, cities and counties on the same day.
Joint National Meeting of KCU Organizations Held
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- A joint national meeting of organizations of the Korean Children's Union (KCU) took place in the plaza of the Kumsusan Memorial Palace, the sacred temple of Juche, on Monday to commemorate the 96th anniversary of the birth of President Kim Il Sung.
Present there were representatives of KCU organizations in provinces, schoolchildren in Pyongyang and those joining the KCU.
Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Kim Jung Rin, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, Kim Yong Jin, minister of Education, officials concerned and others were present on invitation.
All the participants in the meeting made deep bows to the portrait of the smiling President.
Ri Yong Chol, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, said in his report that the great life of the President was that of the benevolent father who devoted his all to the rising generations.
The President formed the Saenal Children's Union, a Juche-based revolutionary organization of children, in the early days of his revolutionary activities and since then, has trained the rising generations to be reliable heirs of the revolution with his warm love and deep trust decades after decades, the reporter noted.
The history of the President's love for posterity is being given steady continuity by General Secretary Kim Jong Il, the reporter said, calling upon all the KCU members to fully prepare themselves to be true heirs to the revolutionary cause of Juche as befitting the new generation of Songun Korea, holding the leader in high esteem.
Then there was an admission ceremony of the KCU.
Led by Kim Jung Rin, the pupils joining the KCU took an oath before the KCU flag.

Performances of National Art Festival Go on
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Performances of the First National Art Festival Commemorating the Day of the Sun were given at various theatres in Pyongyang on Sunday.
Artistes of national and local art organizations, overseas Korean artistes and members of itinerant art squads and art groups of working people in choruses "April Spring Holiday" and "Mangyongdae Is a Cradle of Revolution" and other numbers lauded the birth of President Kim Il Sung as the historic sunrise which brought about a bright future of Juche Korea and a great fortune of the nation.
In female duet and male pangchang "Songun Leadership Is Best" and other numbers they praised the feats General Secretary Kim Jong Il has performed by successfully carrying forward and accomplishing the revolutionary cause of the President through his dynamic leadership, holding high the banner of Songun.

Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- A Kimilsungia exhibition was held in Pyongyang on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
On display at the exhibition hall were lots of beautiful Kimilsungias cultivated by officials and working people of districts and counties and other units in the capital city with good care.

Chinese Send Floral Basket to Statue of Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- The family of Zhou Wei, daughter of Zhou Baozhong, a Chinese related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, sent a floral basket to the statue of President Kim Il Sung on Mansu Hill here on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
The basket of flowers was placed before the statue on April 14.
Written on the ribbon of the basket were letters reading "The great leader President Kim Il Sung is always alive in our hearts."
Certificate of Honor and Gift to Kim Jong Il from Russian Union of Writers
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il was presented with a certificate of honor and a gift by the Russian Union of Writers on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
They were conveyed to an official concerned on Monday by Nikolai Pereyaslov, secretary of the Russian Union of Writers, on a visit to the DPRK.
The Vesenin Gold Medal and its certificate presented to Kim Jong Il by the Moscow Regional Committee of the Russian Union of Writers and the Editing and Publishing Committee of the Russian Newspaper Moskoviya Literaturnaya in their name were also conveyed on the same day.
Overseas Compatriots Pay Homage to Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Overseas compatriots laid floral baskets before the statue of President Kim Il Sung on Mansu Hill on Monday on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
Among them were members of the delegation of Koreans in Japan and delegations of the General Association of Koreans in China, the Federation of Koreans in the U.S., the International United Confederation of Koreans, the Federation of Koreans in Canada, the Federation of Koreans in Australia and the Federation of Koreans in New Zealand.

Foreign Delegations Arrive
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- A delegation of the Asian Regional Institute of the Juche Idea led by its Secretary General Harish Gupta arrived here on Sunday on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
Arriving here today was a delegation of the Agricultural and Forestry Workers Union of China led by Zhang Xiaohui, vice-president of its National Committee.
Taedongmun Cinema and Okryu Restaurant Rebuilt
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- The Taedongmun Cinema and Okryu Restaurant in Central District, Pyongyang, have been newly rebuilt as monumental edifices in the Songun era.
The cinema is a historic building as President Kim Il Sung saw to it that the cinema was built ahead of others for the people's cultural and emotional life in the difficult postwar period and personally named it "Taedongmun Cinema". He also gave on-the-spot guidance to it on several occasions and attended the New Year gatherings of children in Pyongyang held there.
This time the cinema has been spruced up in a more refined manner and its interior completely renovated while preserving the original style of its exterior in keeping with the modern aesthetic taste of the Korean people, the architectural demand and the principle of historicism.
It has two 500-seated halls perfect in content and style as a specialized cinema. Their ceilings and surface of walls are designed to assume a unique architectural appearance in formative and artistic aspects while ensuring acoustic and visual requirements at a high level.
Its inaugural ceremony took place on the spot on April 13.
Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, addressing the ceremony, noted that General Secretary Kim Jong Il gave instructions on dozens of occasions over the construction of the cinema, led the work to organize a group of competent designers and building forces and solved all problems arising in the reconstruction. The speaker also said that the reconstruction of the cinema could be finished in a short span of time by soldier builders who are playing the standard-bearer in devotedly defending the leader and implementing his instructions in do-or-die spirit.
On the same day, an inaugural ceremony of newly-rebuilt Okryu Restaurant was held.
All parts of the restaurant, including its first and second buildings and dining rooms of Moran Restaurant attached to it, have been rebuilt and repaired in an overall way. And it has been fully furnished with new fixtures and modern facilities for operation.
Premier of the Cabinet Kim Yong Il, addressing the ceremony, said that from long ago Kim Jong Il gave the instruction on several occasions to reconstruct and make repairs on Okryu Restaurant, a well known service unit for the people, to meet the aesthetic taste while preserving its original peculiar appearance in order to make it steadily pay off. He also clearly indicated the tasks and ways for reconstructing all the buildings of Okryu Restaurant after the reconstruction of its main building, the speaker added.
Officials and builders of the Pyongyang Guidance Bureau for Construction turned out as one in the reconstruction and repair project of Okryu Restaurant and worked hard to complete the project after setting a high goal to create a model in putting structures on a formative and artistic basis, he stressed.
Academic Degrees and Title Conferred upon Overseas Koreans
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Professorship and doctorate of social politics were conferred upon Rim Min Sik, director general of the Joint Secretariat of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification (Pomminryon), and doctorate of social politics was awarded to Ro Kil Nam, representative of Minjok Thongsin.
Rim Min Sik comprehensively systematized the idea and theory of the Pomminryon movement, embodiment of the Juche-based idea of great national unity, thus making a positive contribution to developing the patriotic movement for reunification of Pomminryon in the June 15 era and achieving the cause of national reunification.
Ro Kil Nam studied and considered the issue of the DPRK's single-minded unity in combination with the issue of great national unity for national reunification, thus contributing to strengthening the driving force for the movement for national reunification in Korean communities overseas in their efforts to implement the June 15 joint declaration.

Great Man's Lifetime Motto "People Are My God"
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung, the eternal sun of the humankind, devoted his whole life for the people.
In the period of the anti-Japanese war Pak In Jin, Tojong of the Chondoist Religion, asked the President what he worships, like the Chondoists believe in the "Heaven". Then the President said: "Of course there is something I believe in like God: the people. I have been worshipping the people as Heaven, and respecting them as if they were God. My God is none other than the people. Only the popular masses are omniscient and omnipotent and almighty on earth. Therefore, my lifetime motto is 'The people are my God'".
The President embarked on the road of revolution in his early years, shouldering the destiny of the country and the nation. He waged the sanguinary anti-Japanese war for twenty years to liberate the country and to save the Korean people from their fate of colonial slavery.
After the liberation of the country he led the efforts to enforce all the democratic reforms including the agrarian reform and the nationalization of industries to make the people to be the master of the land, factories and the country. And he beat back the armed invasion started by the U.S. imperialists in an attempt to conquer the young DPRK, the cradle of happiness of the people, thus protecting the destiny of the country and the nation.

KCNA Refutes Remarks of Senior U.S. Official
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- It is obvious that all the parties concerned should refrain from doing anything detrimental to the fulfillment of the October 3 agreement in order to ensure the denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula at present.
However, Levey, undersecretary of the U.S. Department of Treasury, at a hearing of the Senate Finance Committee on April 1, again raised a hue and cry over "north Korea's counterfeiting" the story of which had already been proved to be a fabrication of the U.S.
He blustered that the U.S. Secret Service is going with the investigation into north Korea's counterfeiting activities and economic sanctions serve as leverage at the negotiations with north Korea.
This is nothing but sophism of a wicked guy following the conservative hard-liners intended to tarnish the image of the DPRK and deliberately strain the situation.
When taking note of the fact that the issue of the frozen funds at Banco Delta Asia put the six-party talks at a stalemate for more than one and half years, his reckless behavior can not be allowed to go unnoticed now that the participating countries' fulfillment of their commitments is high on the agenda.
Levey, as a high-ranking official of the U.S. administration, asserted that north Korea keeps counterfeiting and economic sanctions serve as "leverage". Such remarks can not be construed otherwise but an attempt to attain a sinister purpose by reversing black and white and getting on the nerves of the dialogue partner.
As for the story about the DPRK's "counterfeiting", even media of the U.S. disclosed early in January that it was a drama orchestrated by the U.S. itself and its mastermind was the CIA.
The U.S. conservative hard-liners would be well advised not to miscalculate.
The DPRK is not afraid of any U.S. sanctions at all since the former has suffered from such sanctions for the past several decades and has no economic relations with the latter.
Lee Myung Bak's Red Herring Blasted
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Much upset by the DPRK's clarification of its principled stand of laying bare before the world and bitterly denouncing the treacherous and anti-reunification nature of the Lee Myung Bak regime, his conservative group is working hard to downplay it, asserting that it was a sort of "psychological warfare" and "was intended to test the regime."
Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun today observes: This is nothing but a foolish effort of those keen to justify their treacherous stand and seek a way out, still failing to properly understand the gravity of the situation.
All Koreans and the public at home and abroad are deeply concerned about the fact that Lee and his group's coming to power drove the inter-Korean relations and the situation on the Korean Peninsula to a catastrophic phase, the news analyst says, and goes on:
The conservative ruling forces in south Korea are now resorting to such crafty ruse in a bid to evade the responsibility for the grave situation created by their reckless sycophancy towards the U.S. and anti-reunification acts and confrontation with the north and divert elsewhere accusations of the public at home and abroad against them. This sheer sophism would get them nowhere.
It is nonsensical for this group of traitors to show a sign of efforts to calm down the bitter feelings of the DPRK by peddling the issue of "cooperation" and bargain with it over the issue of inter-Korean relations.
The DPRK will have neither dealings nor bargaining with the group of traitors who do not respect the idea of "By our nation itself," denying the historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, a programme for its implementation.
If the Lee Myung Bak group continues playing sleight of hand, weighing the stand clarified by the DPRK, it will be held wholly accountable for the ensuing catastrophic consequences as it is hell-bent on sycophancy towards the U.S. and inter-Korean confrontation, denying the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
It is as clear as noonday that as long as the Lee Myung Bak regime persistently sticks to its pro-U.S. conservative "policy toward the north" despite our warnings, the situation will remain serious and the inter-Korean relations are bound to collapse.
Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Work Observed
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today dedicates a signed article to the 34th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's work "Let's More Firmly Establish the Monolithic Ideological System throughout the Party and Society". The article notes that it is the revolutionary traits of the Korean people to live and struggle according to the idea and intention of the Workers' Party of Korea.
The work, published on April 14, Juche 63 (1974), is a highly important work which comprehensively clarifies the principled issues arising in further deepening the work to establish the monolithic ideological system of the party as required by a new stage of the developing Korean revolution to model the whole society on the Juche idea.
Over the past 34 years since the publication of the work the ideological and moral traits of the Korean people have reached a high stage and the single-minded unity of the party and the revolutionary ranks has grown as strong as a rock, the article notes, and goes on:
The noble revolutionary traits of the army and people of the DPRK living and struggling according to the idea and intention of the party lie in that they regard it as their lifeblood and steadfast faith in work and life to defend the leader at the cost of their lives and devotedly implement the party's policies, regarding the plan and intention of the leader as the immutable truth.
The army and people of the DPRK single-mindedly remain true to the idea and leadership of Kim Jong Il, holding high the slogan "Let's Defend the Headquarters of the Revolution Headed by the Great Comrade Kim Jong Il at the Cost of Our Lives!"
There is nothing impossible for the heroic army and people of the DPRK. Their indomitable fighting spirit of always working miracles of history without any hesitation and vacillation in face of any difficulties is based on the fixed faith in the party's policies and the spirit of devotedly implementing them.
Their noble revolutionary traits also lie in that they do all work as Kim Jong Il does, taking his Songun leadership feats as guidelines.
His Songun leadership feats make them confident of the immensely bright prospect of the country and revolution. They deem it the greatest pride and honor to live and struggle as Kim Jong Il does.
The society of the DPRK is, indeed, an ideologically pure community pervaded with the idea and will of the leader and an example of single-minded unity in the times.
Day of Sun Commemorated in China
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- A round-table talk was held in Beijing on April 12 to commemorate the Day of the Sun, the birthday of President Kim Il Sung.
Present there were officials of the China Association for International Friendly Contact and the Beijing Association for International Friendly Contact and family members of those Chinese related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle.
Also present on invitation were the DPRK ambassador to China and officials of his embassy and the visiting delegation of the Korean Committee for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries.
The participants watched the Korean film "The Fatherly Leader among Children."
Shen Weiping, vice-president of the China Association for International Friendly Contact, one of the family members and others at the talk recollected with deep emotion the immortal revolutionary exploits of Kim Il Sung who dedicated his whole life to the happiness of the people, the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea and the human cause of independence.
Saying that the Chinese people are now rejoiced over the fact that leader Kim Jong Il, true to Kim Il Sung's behests, has led the heroic Korean people to develop the economy in defiance of hardships and achieve fresh successes in improving the standard of people's living and developing the external relations, they expressed firm belief that the DPRK would further prosper and develop under the guidance of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by Kim Jong Il with each passing day.

DPRK's April Holidays Observed in Different Countries
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Friendship organizations of various countries issued bulletins on the occasions of the Day of the Sun and the 15th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.
The Egypt-Korea Friendship Association, in an article titled "Human Cause of Independence and President Kim Il Sung of DPRK" carried in its bulletin on April 7, noted that Kim Il Sung, the eternal President of the DPRK, provided the invincible guidelines for the human cause of independence by founding the Juche idea and the Songun idea.
The bulletin elaborated on the fact that the President set a practical example of national liberation struggle in colonial countries, rendered the positive assistance to the national liberation struggle of the oppressed peoples in the world and energetically led the world socialist movement, holding aloft the banner of socialism.
On the same day, the Brazil-Korea Friendship Association in an article titled "Eternal President Kim Il Sung" carried in its bulletin noted that the world progressive people are now commemorating his birthday as a holiday common to humankind and the Day of the Sun and this is an expression of their will to remember his idea and feats and hold him in high esteem as the eternal leader for the human cause of independence.
The Democratic Congo-Korea Friendship and Solidarity Association, in an article titled "June 15 Era of Reunification and Kim Jong Il" carried in its bulletin on April 2, noted that Kim Jong Il has performed with his unique Songun politics the immortal exploits that will shine long in the history of the national reunification movement.
Kim Il Sung's Feats Praised in India
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- G. Debarajan, secretary of the Central Committee of the All-India Forward Bloc, released a statement on April 8 on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
The statement noted that President Kim Il Sung, who embarked upon the road of the revolution in his teens, founded the immortal Juche idea and the Songun idea, organized the anti-Japanese armed struggle to liberate Korea and led the building of a new country, the Fatherland Liberation War, the post-war rehabilitation and construction and the socialist revolution to victory, thus performing great exploits.
The Juche idea and the Songun idea serve as a powerful ideological and theoretical weapon and a beacon for the world progressive people in the struggle for national liberation against imperialism, it stressed.
General Secretary Kim Jong Il, who is pursuing the unique Songun politics by successfully carrying forward the Songun idea founded by the President, is the greatest strategist and outstanding commander of the present times as he cropped the U.S. feathers, the statement said, adding: Under his wise guidance the Korean people are dynamically waging the struggle to defend socialism full of confidence and optimism.
S. Korean Authorities' Anti-DPRK Moves Assailed by South African Figure
Pyongyang, April 14 (KCNA) -- Bonakele Majuba, secretary of the Mfumalanga Provincial Committee of the South African Communist Party who is chairman of the South African Association of Friendship and Solidarity with Korean People, released a statement on April 8 denouncing the south Korean authorities' provocative outbursts.
He in the statement noted that the world progressive people had warmly welcomed and expressed full support for the fact that the historic north-south summit meetings were held and talks of different channels, cooperation and exchanges realized in the Korean Peninsula in recent years to open up a bright vista for the reunification between the north and the south.
But the south Korean authorities have recently made such provocative remarks as outbursts calling for "preemptive strike" at the DPRK nuclear base, thus spoiling the atmosphere of the reconciliation and cooperation between the north and south created with much effort and bringing the north-south relations to those of confrontation, the statement charged.
Those wrecking peace and democracy are doomed to ruin, it warned, urging the south Korean authorities to drop their confrontation policy and come out to the road of realizing the reunification at an early date.
Protests of Chongryon Officials and Koreans in Japan Unabated
Tokyo, April 12 (KNS-KCNA) -- Officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and Koreans in Japan are carrying on their protests against the Japanese authorities' unreasonable actions against the DPRK and Chongryon.
Officials and compatriots under the Nagano Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon on April 5 conducted information service in demand of the lifting of such sanctions against the DPRK as embargo on the ship Mangyongbong-92.
They were joined by members of civic organizations of Japan including the Nagano Prefectural People's Council for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea and the Japan Matsumoto Citizens Council for Supporting the Independent and Peaceful Reunification of Korea.
They urged the Japanese government not to extend the sanctions against the DPRK and immediately stop infringing upon the rights of the Koreans in Japan.
Officials, teachers and members of the Korean Youth League in Japan and compatriots under the Ibaraki Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon also conducted information service in front of the JR Mido Station on April 3, demanding the earliest possible end to the unreasonable sanctions against the DPRK and the political suppression of Chongryon.
Earlier, full-time and part-time officials of the Shimonoseki Branch of the Yamaguchi Prefectural Headquarters of Chongryon, teachers and students of Joson University staged protests around JR Shimonoseki Station on March 28, distributing leaflets demanding the permit of the entry of Mangyongbong-92 and others.

El secretario de esa entidad rusa, Nikolai Pereyaslov, de visita en Corea, los entrego este lunes a un funcionario coreano.
El mismo dia, llegaron la medalla de oro Yesenin y el certificado que le enviaron en conjunto al Dirigente el comite de la Union de Escritores de Rusia en Moscu y el Comite de Redaccion y Publicacion del periodico ruso "Moskoviya Literaturnaya".
Acto central por 96o aniversario de natalicio de Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, 14 de abril (ATCC) -- Tuvo lugar este lunes en el capitalino Palacio de Deportes de Pyongyang el acto central por el 96o aniversario del natalicio del Presidente Kim Il Sung.
Estuvieron presentes en el conclave los cuadros del partido, el ejercito y el Estado, los presidentes de partidos amigos, los funcionarios de instituciones del partido, las fuerzas armadas, el Poder y de las entidades sociales, ministerios y organos centrales.
Igualmente, participaron los oficiales y soldados del Ejercito Popular de Corea, funcionarios de los dominios de ciencia, educacion, cultura y arte, salud publica, prensa e informacion, familiares de los martires revolucionarios, innovadores laborales, trabajadores capitalinos, las delegaciones de coreanos residentes en ultramar, compatriotas coreanos radicados en el extranjero y el representante de la sucursal del Frente Democratico Nacional Antiimperialista en Pyongyang.
Fueron invitados los representantes diplomaticos de varios paises, los representantes de organizaciones internacionales, acreditados en Corea, y otros huespedes extranjeros.
El informe de la ocasion estuvo a cargo de Kim Yong Nam, miembro del Buro Politico del CC del Partido del Trabajo de Corea y presidente del Presidium de la Asamblea Popular Suprema de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea.
El orador senalo que el Presidente Kim Il Sung, nacido en el seno de la patriotica y revolucionaria familia de Mangyongdae, condujo a la victoria la lucha historica de cerca de un siglo desde la revolucion de liberacion nacional hasta la construccion del socialismo realizando inmortales hazanas ante la patria, la revolucion, la epoca y la humanidad.
El Presidente es destacado ideologo y teorico que al concebir la inmortal idea Juche, glorifico nuestro pais como patria de la idea directriz de la epoca e ilumino el camino mas recto para el cumplimiento de la causa de independencia de las masas populares, apunto el orador y continuo:
El Presidente cumplio brillantemente la historica causa de liberacion de la patria mediante la lucha armada antijaponesa y construyo despues el partido, el Estado y el ejercito.
Gracias a la extraordinaria inteligencia politico-militar y la destacada direccion del Presidente sobre la revolucion mediante el Songun, el ejercito y el pueblo de Corea pudieron vencer a los dos poderosos enemigos imperialistas mas feroces y escribir una nueva historia de independencia nacional y prosperidad de la patria siendo eternos duenos del pais y del destino de si mismos.
Al conducir a la victoria la severa revolucion social de dos etapas y la construccion socialista, el Presidente libero para siempre al pueblo coreano de la explotacion y opresion y levanto sobre la tierra patria, donde predominaban de siglo en siglo el retraso y penurias, un pais socialista del Juche caracterizado por la independencia politica, el autososten economico y la autodefensa nacional.
El Presidente Kim Il Sung es la estrella salvadora de la nacion y promotor de la emancipacion de la humanidad, que allano un ancho camino para el logro del historico deseo de reunificacion de la patria e hizo un enorme aporte a la verificacion de la causa de la independencia de todo el mundo.
La idea revolucionaria y las hazanas del Presidente las defiende firmemente y las lleva adelante el Dirigente Kim Jong Il.
La idea revolucionaria del Presidente, o sea, la idea Juche, es la invariable guia directriz del partido y el Estado de la RPDC y la bandera de victorias de la revolucion coreana.
Hay que impulsar la revolucion y la construccion solo segun la idea Juche y al estilo de trabajo del Presidente y enaltecerle de generacion en generacion como eterno Sol del Juche.
Es preciso hacer brillar este ano del 60o aniversario de la fundacion de la RPDC como un ano de cambios historicos que se registre indeleble en los anales de la patria y abrir de par en par, cueste lo que cueste, en 2012, en que se acogera el centenario del natalicio del Presidente, la puerta que de acceso a la gran potencia prospera.
Abriremos la nueva era de la reunificacion independiente, la paz y la prosperidad frustrando tajantemente las maniobras de las fuerzas conservadoras surcoreanas en el poder que persiguen el servilismo a EE.UU. y la confrontacion con el Norte de Corea.
Nos esforzaremos tambien por rechazar la dominacion, intervencion y belicismo de los imperialistas y por preservar la paz y la seguridad de Asia y el resto del mundo.

Orden y medalla conmemorativas del 60o aniversario de la RPDC
Pyongyang, 14 de abril (ATCC) -- El Presidium de la Asamblea Popular Suprema de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea publico el dia 10 el decreto sobre el establecimiento de la Orden y la Medalla Conmemorativas del 60o aniversario de la fundacion de la Republica.
El decreto senala:
Acogeremos pronto el 60o aniversario de la fundacion de la RPDC, nuestra gloriosa patria.
La RPDC es el gran pais del pueblo que encarna la idea Juche, la invencible potencia socialista y la bandera de la dignidad independiente y la prosperidad de la nacion.
El gran Lider, camarada Kim Il Sung fundo el 9 de septiembre del 37 (1948) de la Era Juche la RPDC, lo cual fue un evento historico que hizo del nuestro un pueblo revolucionario independiente y poderoso y dio nueva origen a la construccion del Estado socialista centrado en las masas populares.
La historia de 60 anos de la RPDC es anales de grandes transformaciones en que bajo la direccion del partido y del lider ella se hizo una potencia soberana, independiente y autodefensiva al crear la epopeya heroica de la creacion y la construccion y es una sagrada trayectoria en que se manifestaron plenamente la superioridad y la invencibilidad del socialismo al estilo coreano en las severas tempestades de la lucha antiimperialista.
Se transmitiran de generacion en generacion las inmortales hazanas del Presidente Kim Il Sung quien levanto por primera vez en la historia de 5 mil anos de la nacion la nueva Corea socialista que encarna en si la idea de iminwichon (considerar al pueblo como el cielo) e hizo todos sus esfuerzos por preparar el cimiento de eterna duracion para la prosperidad de la patria y la nacion.
Es la inmensa gloria y l orgullo para el ejercito y el pueblo de Corea conmemorar el 60o aniversario de la fundacion de la RPDC en este periodo conmovedor en que por la gran politica de Songun (priorizacion militar) la dignidad y el poderio del pais se elevan al plano supremo y se logra una gran prosperidad sin precedente en la historia nacional.
A fin de conmemorar eternamente los 60 anos orgullosos llenos de victoria y gloria, recorridos por la RPDC, el Presidium de la APS de la RPDC decide como lo siguiente:
1. Establece la Orden y la Medalla conmemorativas del 60o aniversario de la fundacion de la RPDC.
2. Aprueba el reglamento de otorgamiento y la explicacion grafica de la Orden y la Medalla conmemorativas del 60o aniversario de la fundacion de la RPDC.
ATCC comenta palabras de Levey
Pyongyang, 14 de abril (ATCC) -- Es natural que en la actualidad, todos los paises interesados en la desnuclearizacion de la Peninsula Coreana deban hacer cosas utiles para la implementacion del Acuerdo del 3 de Octubre.
Sin embargo, en sus declaraciones hechas en la audiencia ante el Comite de Finanzas del Senado norteamericano sostenida el dia primero, el secretario adjunto del Departamento de Tesoro Levey volvio a cuestionar el rumor de la "falsificacion de billetes por el Norte de Corea", que fue revelado ya como caso manipulado por Estados Unidos.
Dijo que el "Servicio Secreto del Departamento de Tesoro continua la pesquisa sobre la falsificacion de dolares por el Norte de Corea" y la "sancion economica sirve de palanca en las negociaciones con este".
Tal sofisma, que consuena con la voz de las fuerzas conservadoras intransigentes, se encamina a mellar la imagen de la RPDC y empeorar la situacion intencionalmente.
Anteriormente, las conversaciones a 6 bandas marcharon en vacio durante mas de un ano y medio debido al congelamiento de los fondos de la RPDC depositados en el Banco Delta Asia de Macao.
Si se toma en cuenta ese hecho, el disparate de Levey no puede pasar por alto hoy dia, cuando esta sobre el tapete el cumplimiento de los compromisos por parte de los paises interesados.
Al decir ignorando su posicion de alto funcionario de la administracion norteamericana que el Norte de Corea sigue fabricando billetes falsificados y la sancion economica es una "palanca", Levey trato de dar lo blanco por lo negro y alcanzar su mezquino objetivo provocando a la contraparte del dialogo.
A principios de enero ultimo, los medios de prensa norteamericanos revelaron que el rumor en cuestion es una farsa orquestada por EE.UU. senalando a la CIA como su autor intelectual.
Las fuerzas conservadoras intransigentes de EE.UU. no deben equivocarse con la RPDC.
Ya que la RPDC vivio bajo la sancion de EE.UU. durante varios decenios pasados y no tiene ninguna relacion economica con este, no tiene nada que temer ante cualquier tipo de sancion del imperio.
