National Meeting Celebrates Anniversary of Kim Jong Il's Election as NDC Chairman
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- A national meeting was held at the April 25 House of Culture Tuesday to celebrate the 15th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK.
Present there were senior officials of the party, the army and the state including Kim Yong Nam, Kim Yong Il and Kim Yong Chun, chairpersons of friendly parties, officials of party and armed forces and power organs, public organizations, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army, officials in the fields of science, education, culture and arts, public health and media, labor innovators and working people in the city.
Kim Yong Il, premier of the DPRK Cabinet, in a report made there said that Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the NDC made it possible to successfully carry forward President Kim Il Sung's idea of self-reliant national defence upbuilding and his exploits and his unique cause of nation-building and provided a sure guarantee for accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche started on Mt. Paektu.
The past 15 years during which the DPRK has advanced, holding Kim Jong Il in high esteem as chairman of the NDC of the DPRK are shining as a sacred revolutionary course in the 60 year-long history of the DPRK as this period witnessed historic changes and signal victories in the cause of building a socialist state and building a rich and powerful country under the banner of the great Juche idea, the Songun idea, the reporter said, and continued:
Kim Jong Il, on the basis of an insight into the requirements of the Korean revolution, formulated the Songun politics as a basic political mode under socialism and applied it in all fields of the revolution and construction, thus ushering in a new era of the Juche revolution, the Songun era.
He put forward the People's Army as a core force in achieving the single-minded unity and made sure that the servicepersons and people achieved the great unity between them based on unity in thinking and fighting spirit. He rallied the servicepersons and people around the party with warm love and devotion to them, regarding the people's mindset as a great foundation of the single-minded unity. He thus increased the might of the unity and cohesion of our revolutionary ranks in every way.
Considering it the primary task of nation-building and activities to boost the nation's defence capability, Kim Jong Il has successfully materialized the Juche-oriented idea of national defence upbuilding and the line of building the revolutionary armed forces, thus remarkably increasing the might of the armed forces of the DPRK and consolidating the military position of our revolution as firm as an iron wall.
Kim Jong Il provided the historic June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration, a programme for implementing the joint declaration in all fields, thus converting the north-south relations into those of reconciliation and cooperation and ushering in a new era of reunification in which the Koreans powerfully push forward the movement for national reunification in the idea of "By our nation itself" and with the will to embody it.
It was thanks to his outstanding political caliber and preeminent external activities that the DPRK's dignity and influence have been further exalted on the international arena than ever before, its relations with other countries have rapidly gained in scope and strength and international solidarity with the Korean revolution has grown stronger.
Referring to the tasks facing the Korean people at present, the reporter called for deeply grasping and defending Kim Jong Il's idea of national defence upbuilding and exploits performed by him and thoroughly implementing the Songun idea and line, regarding his Songun leadership exploits as guidelines, and thus increasing the might of the DPRK in every way.
He underlined the need for all Koreans to pool efforts, resolutely foil the outsiders' interference and the moves of the pro-U.S. sycophantic conservative ruling forces in south Korea for confrontation with the DPRK and wage a more dynamic struggle for independent reunification and peace and prosperity so as to accomplish the historic cause of national reunification without fail.
The situation on the Korean Peninsula still remains tense and unstable due to the U.S. invariable hostile policy toward the DPRK, the reporter said, declaring that the army and people of the DPRK are closely following the moves of the U.S. and its followers to stifle the DPRK with a high degree of revolutionary vigilance and they will deal decisive and merciless blows at the slightest infringement upon the dignity and interests of the DPRK, a sovereign state.
Deputies to SPA Pay Homage to Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- Deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly who will participate in the sixth session of the 11th SPA visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace on Tuesday to pay homage to President Kim Il Sung.
They made deep bows to the President who built a socialist power centered on the popular masses with the Juche-oriented idea of building power and his unique leadership and enabled the Korean people to emerge an independent and revolutionary people.
Deputies to SPA Pay Homage to Kim Jong Suk
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- Deputies to the Supreme People's Assembly, who are to attend the Sixth Session of the 11th SPA, visited the Revolutionary Martyrs Cemetery in Mt. Taesong on Tuesday to lay a wreath before the bust of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero, there.
Written on the ribbon of the wreath were letters reading "The revolutionary exploits of Comrade Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero, are immortal!"
The visitors paid a silent tribute to her, recalling on the noble revolutionary life of her who devoted her all to the accomplishment of the Songun cause of Juche while being active as a sunbeam of the great sun and provided the Korean people with the great fortune of being blessed with the illustrious leaders through generations.
They also placed flowers at the cemetery and paid a silent tribute to the revolutionary martyrs.
Celebration Meetings Held
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- A meeting of youth and students took place at the outdoor theatre in Youth Park here on Monday to celebrate the 15th anniversary of General Secretary Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.
Ri Yong Chol, first secretary of the Central Committee of the youth league, made a report at the meeting which was followed by speeches.
The reporter and speakers said that Kim Jong Il's election as NDC chairman was an event of epochal significance in achieving prosperity of the country and the nation and accomplishing the cause of Juche and it was the greatest fortune of the army, people and youth.
He established the original political mode and has fully demonstrated the greatness and invincibility of the Songun politics while commanding all forces of the country, they noted.
They said that he established the state leadership system with the NDC as its centre and thus provided a sure guarantee for accomplishing the revolutionary cause which was started and advanced with arms to the last.
They stressed the need for the young people to regard it highest honor and pride to lead worthy youthful days as soldiers on the outpost duty for defence of the country and work new miracles and feats in all fields of the national economy true to the grand plan of the Workers' Party of Korea on building an economic power.

Congratulations to Kim Jong Il from Foreign Diplomats
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il received floral baskets and congratulatory letters from the diplomatic corps here on the occasions of the Day of the Sun and the 15th anniversary of his election as chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.
The baskets and letters were handed over to Foreign Minister Pak Ui Chun by Egyptian Ambassador Moustafa Mohamed Ahmed Al Hatter, who is doyen of the corps, on Tuesday.
He also received a congratulatory letter from the military attaches corps here on the occasion of the 15th anniversary of his election as NDC chairman. The letter was conveyed to an official concerned by Vietnamese Military Attache Dau Xuan Long, who is doyen of the corps, on Tuesday.
Delegations Here to Attend Kimilsungia Festival
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- An Indonesian government cultural delegation headed by Mukhlis Paeni, assistant to the minister of Culture and Tourism, and a delegation of the Central Union of Mongolian Industrial Cooperatives led by its President Chultemsuren Altangaaya came here today to participate in the 10th Kimilsungia Festival.

National Fine Arts Exhibition Opens
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- A national fine arts exhibition was opened with due ceremony at the Korean Art Gallery here on Tuesday to commemorate the Day of the Sun.
On display at the exhibition were more than 60 works representing President Kim Il Sung's revolutionary life and his noble exploits, personality of General Secretary Kim Jong Il, the happy life of Korean people and beautiful scenery of the mountains and rivers of the country.
Present at the ceremony were officials concerned, artists and working people in the city.
Minister of Culture Kang Nung Su made an opening address there.
Meeting of Co-Chairmen of Pomminryon Held
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- The 9th meeting of co-chairmen of the north and south and overseas sides to the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification (Pomminryon) was held on April 7 by way of exchanging facsimile messages.
The meeting reviewed the work done by Pomminryon over the past seven years since the publication of the June 15 joint declaration and discussed the orientation of its activities and tasks for this year, etc.

It reviewed the successes achieved by Pomminryon in the national reunification movement for national independence, peace and great unity in the past and underscored the need for the Koreans to value more than anything else the precious results achieved by the June 15 declaration through an arduous struggle and consolidate them and steadily glorify the era of "By our nation itself".
Pomminryon will foil the "cooperation" with foreign forces, a sycophantic and treacherous act of leaving the reunification issue and the destiny of the nation to the tender mercy of foreign forces, the report said.
It called on Pomminryon to wage a dynamic mass movement to foil the moves for inter-Korean confrontation and a war stepped up by the Lee Myung Bak's pro-U.S. ruling conservative forces and expose the treacherous and dangerous nature of "no nukes, opening and 3,000 dollars" oft-repeated by them.
Pomminryon will conduct positive actions to arouse the people from all walks of life to the anti-U.S. and anti-war and peace movement to resolutely deter the bellicose forces at home and abroad from staging reckless joint war exercises and accelerating arms buildup and force the U.S. to withdraw its forces from south Korea, the report noted, and continued:

Children Take Growing Interest in Paduk
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- More and more children in the DPRK are feeling a great interest in paduk (go) as the days go by.
It was well proven by the Pyongyang spring paduk contests of children held some time ago.
In an interview with KCNA, Yun Yong Myong, director of the Pyongyang Paduk Center, said: In the contests many units and individuals competed in displaying their paduk skill. They drew a greater number of primary school and kindergarten children than ever before.
The social interest in paduk, a folk intellectual game, is growing in the country where the folk traditions are encouraged in every way.
All the teachers of Pyongyang Kyogu Kindergarten, who have learnt how to play paduk, give special knowledge of paduk to children.
A number of units including Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace and Pyongyang Songsin Kindergarten No. 2 are operating paduk circles in a brisk way.
Meanwhile, one can see children who are engrossed in paduk games in the paduk rooms arranged in Munsu, Sinwon and other parts of the city.
Over the last several years thousands of child paduk players have been trained in Pyongyang.
Along with the growth of paduk players in number, their skill has been improved day by day.
The ability of the children who won the first three places in the recent contests is tantamount to the fifth grade of amateur.
Group of Ancient Tombs in Unsong-ri
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- There is a group of tombs belonging to ancient Korea (early 30th century B.C.-108 B.C.) in Unsong-ri, Unryul County, South Hwanghae Province.
They consist of more than a hundred tombs such as dugout mud cellar tombs, wood box tombs, log tombs, earthen jar tombs and brick tombs.
Tomb No. 9 located on a hillock overlooking a vast prospect is a single wood coffin tomb. A rectangular wood box containing a coffin is buried in a dugout cellar.
The wood box is 2.8 meters long from the southern end to the northern end, 1.2 meters wide from the eastern side to the western side and 0.5 meter high.
Discovered in the tomb are narrow-bladed brass dagger, a sword hilt fitting device, a bronze ring, various beads, a long iron sword, an iron ax, a flowerpot-shaped jar and a fat-bellied jar.
Tomb No. 8 is a log tomb which is a log box laid in a hollow 3.2 meters long, 2.4 meters wide and 1.3 meters deep.
The log box 2.7 meters in length, 1.8 meters in width and 0.5 meter in height has a coffin cabin and a cabin for belongings of the deceased.
Two coffins were found in the coffin cabin and a flowerpot-shaped iron jar, a white jar and other things in the cabin for the belongings.
Four earthen jar tombs were discovered in the group of wood box tombs and one in the group of log tombs.
In some earthen jar tombs two flowerpot-shaped jars are bound together and in others two jars with grey string patterns are fitted together.
The group of tombs in Unsong-ri is highly important in the studies of the history toward the end of ancient Korea.
KCNA Dismisses "Resolution" on Human Rights Issue in DPRK as Ridiculous
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- An anti-DPRK "resolution" full of lies was recently railroaded through the 7th session of the UN Human Rights Council. The "resolution," asserting that "human rights are being systematically violated" in the DPRK, totally rejected the Korean-style socialist system centered on the popular masses and decided to extend the tenure of office of a ghost-like special rapporteur one year.
It is clear that the "resolution" adopted with Japan and EU being main players is aimed at intensifying their interference in the internal affairs of the dignified DPRK as it serves the U.S. purpose of stifling the DPRK by tarnishing its image and increasing the international pressure on it.
It is an unpardonable encroachment upon the DPRK, an independent and sovereign state, to dare interfere in its internal affairs under the pretext of "human rights issue".
As well known, it is only those countries which incur the displeasure of the U.S. that have become targets of criticism over their human rights issues quite contrary to the principle of impartiality and objectivity, and the tendency of applying double standards and politicizing human rights has become more pronounced.
As far as the human rights are concerned, blame should be laid, first of all, on the U.S., the worst human rights violator in the world, which does not hesitate to commit terrorist acts against sovereign states, and Japan which has refused to make an apology and reparation for its past hideous crimes against humanity.
Nevertheless, those accustomed to taking issue with others, keeping mum about their human rights abuses, are talking about someone's "human rights."
Great irony is that Japan, a political dwarf not entitled to talk about human rights, took the lead in railroading the anti-DPRK "resolution" through the recent session, behaving as if it were a "human rights judge."
It is a well-known fact that elementary rights of the popular masses are being ruthlessly violated and terrorist acts against Koreans in Japan, overseas citizens of the sovereign state, and the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), their legitimate organization, are being reported in an unbroken chain in Japan, to say nothing of abduction, conspiratorial plots and flesh traffic.
It was ridiculous of Japan to have worked hard to hide all these crimes. It was so imprudent to insist that "the tenure of office of the special rapporteur be extended one year to observe and improve the human rights situation in north Korea" and cry out for international cooperation in the "abduction issue" which had already found a solution.
If Japan wishes to be entitled to discuss human rights, it should, first of all, make an apology and reparation for such hideous human rights abuses as abducting and taking away at least 8.4 million Koreans, killing more than one million Koreans and forcing at least 200,000 Korean women into sexual slavery in the last century. And it should honor its historical and moral commitments to protect the legitimate rights of Koreans in Japan, direct victims of its past colonial rule.
Availing ourselves of this opportunity, we would like to warn the EU against its involvement in the racket kicked up by the U.S. and Japan over the "human rights issue."
An overwhelming majority of countries said no to the "resolution" because they were of the view that the "resolution" was contrary to the universally accepted deliberation function of the council to handle the human rights situation in all countries on an equal footing and wrong as it is aimed at building a structure of confrontation in the council.
Human rights precisely represent sovereignty.
Human rights are firmly guaranteed legally and institutionally in the DPRK.
The present reality goes to prove that there can be no human rights without national sovereignty and one should have strong deterrent if one is to defend genuine human rights and national sovereignty.
The anti-DPRK hostile forces had better stop their rash acts, pondering over the unpredictable consequences to be entailed by their plots and moves to stifle the DPRK.
Building of Independent New World Called for
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- It is impossible for people to live in a peaceful world free from war and build an independent new world unless they stand up against the imperialists' high-handed and hegemonic policies.
Rodong Sinmun today observes this in a signed article.
It goes on:
Now that it has become a trend of the times to make the whole world independent the imperialist and hegemonic forces are the biggest obstacles in the way of realizing the wishes of the popular masses for independence.
The brigandish aggression being perpetrated by the imperialists against other countries under the signboard of "ensuring peace and democracy" is prompted by their high-handed and hegemonic policies. They are seized with the arrogant calculation that once they use force, regarding it as an all-powerful means, they can put any country under their control as they please.
"Anti-terror war", a synonym for the imperialists' aggression, is a product of their high-handed and hegemonic policies. It is under the signboard of "combating terrorism" that the imperialists are perpetrating undisguised aggression to seize major areas rich in resources and strategic strongholds. More countries may fall victim to the above-said war like Iraq unless people intensify their struggle against war.
With no threat of using tremendous force can the imperialists overpower the might of the united people.
In the whole course of revolution and construction the DPRK has made positive efforts to forge friendship and solidarity with all countries and peoples of the world, always treasuring solidarity more than anything else in the struggle to make the whole world independent. The Korean people will as ever wage a dynamic struggle alongside the world progressives to build an independent new society, a new world, under the uplifted banner of independence and peace.
Lee Myong Bak Group's Talk about "Opening" under Fire
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- Lee Myong Bak and his gentries vied with each other in vociferating about the "north's opening," going so impertinent as to make nonsensical talks about "substantial change" and "cooperation with the international community".
This is nothing but an intolerable insult and provocation to Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses and its dignified system and an anti-reunification act and a move for confrontation. Rodong Sinmun Tuesday observes this in a signed commentary.
The DPRK has never kept its door closed to anyone and it is the United States and the south Korean conservative ruling quarters subservient to it that have persisted in the blockade against the DPRK, the commentary notes, and goes on:
By crying out for " the north's opening" traitor Lee and his gentries disclosed themselves that they are a group of traitors and criminals working hard to quell the desire of the fellow countrymen for national independence and their unanimous resolution to usher in a new era of independent reunification, peace and prosperity by their concerted efforts.
The party, army and people of the DPRK remain unchanged in their fixed faith and will to defend to the last the socialist system chosen by themselves and consolidate and develop it.
"The north's opening" oft-repeated by Lee Myung Bak and his ilk would inevitably lead to inter-Korean confrontation and war as it is aimed at bringing about any change in the system of the DPRK and putting it under their "liberal democratic system". Herein lies the traitorous and reactionary nature of their call for "the north's opening," concludes the commentary.
South Korean Ruling Quarters Accused of Denying Their Call for "Preemptive Attack"
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- The south Korean conservative ruling quarters came out to deny the outbursts calling for a "preemptive attack" on the north let loose by Kim Thae Yong, chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff of the south Korean forces, asserting that they are not on record in the minutes of the confirmation hearing at the "National Assembly".
This comes under fire by a signed commentary of Minju Joson Tuesday.
Recalling that the south Korean media including Hankuk Ilbo and foreign media such as Xinhua News reported his remarks, the commentary observes:
The south Korean ruling forces remained indifferent to the above-said outbursts reported by south Korean and foreign media, but when the DPRK clarified its principled stand on them, they claimed his remarks were "interpreted by somebody his own way" and " what the north said was a self-indulgent accusation" against them. This reveals itself how stupid and foolish they are.
If the south Korean chief executive has an iota of reason, he should duly admit and reflect on his wrong doings and apologize for them before the nation. But he is busy prodding riff-raffs into the campaign to divert the public criticism of Lee and his group to the DPRK.
But this will only embolden fellow countrymen to come out in a nationwide struggle against the "war-seeking regime" and "regime inciting confrontation" as it strips bare the anti-reunification, anti-peace and treacherous nature of the group hell-bent on the moves for confrontation with the north.
The Lee group had better bear this in mind and retract the above-mentioned outbursts little short of a declaration of a war and apologize for them and take measures enough to convince world people, though belatedly. Should they rush headlong into confrontation with the north, denying the above-said outbursts and working hard to lay the blame for the grave situation prevailing on the Korean Peninsula at other's door, they will be held accountable for all the ensuing consequences and meet a stern judgment of the nation.
Whether the situation will be settled or will deteriorate will entirely depend on the attitude of the south Korean authorities, concludes the commentary.
Minju Joson Assails Japan's Evermore Undisguised Moves for Overseas Expansion
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- Recently Japanese cabinet members, including Prime Minister Fukuda and Chairman of the Diplomacy Research Council of the Liberal Democratic Party Yamasaki, agreed to submit to the Diet a "permanent law" providing for the overseas dispatch of the "Self-Defence Forces (SDF)". The chief executive of Japan blustered at a press conference that they would pass the new "law" through the Diet at any cost.
Commenting on this, Minju Joson today says:
Such moves of the Japanese reactionary ruling quarters were evidently prompted by their ulterior motive to promptly hurl SDF troops into any part of the world any time in a bid to lay a springboard for overseas aggression and mount preemptive attacks on other countries.
It is the invariable intention of the Japanese reactionaries to turn the SDF into regular armed forces and allow them to exercise the "right to collective self-defence" and thus legalize the overseas military actions of their aggression forces.
The operational theatre of the SDF has already been expanded to vast areas in Asia, the Pacific and Indian Ocean, going far beyond Japan's boundary.
Japan resumed its MSDF ships' mission of refueling warships of the U.S. and its allies in the Indian Ocean under the pretext of cooperation in the "war on terrorism." This means operational activities of the militarist forces in the above-said war for aggression.
A campaign is making brisk headway to equip the SDF with modern, mobile and long-distance war means and arms buildup is being frantically accelerated to increase its capability for carrying out military operations overseas.
Asia is now fraught with the danger of a new arms race and war due to the military hysteria kicked up by the Japanese reactionaries to launch reinvasion.
Such war hysteria is little short of a criminal act of gravely threatening and disturbing peace and security in Northeast Asia and the rest of the world. This is, however, as foolish an act as inviting self-destruction.
Efforts for Building Military Confidence and Detente Called for in S. Korea
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- The Solidarity for Progress in south Korea called a press conference outside the ministry of Defense in Seoul on April 3 to denounce the present ruling authorities' hostile policy towards the DPRK.
Speakers there charged that "no nukes, opening and 3,000 dollars" touted by Lee Myung Bak are nothing but treacherous sophism as they not only run counter to the principle of "action for action" laid down at the six-party talks for settlement of the nuclear issue on the Korean Peninsula but utterly disregard the south-north agreement.
A press release read out at the press conference slashed at such an irresponsible attitude of the "government" authorities as vying with each other in letting loose anti-north reckless hostile remarks with the "general election" at hand and trying to evade the responsibility for them, driving the situation to a catastrophic phase.
It urged the military authorities to retract at once the outbursts calling for a "preemptive strike" and exert efforts for building military confidence between the south and the north and achieving detente true to the spirit of the June 15 joint declaration and the October 4 declaration.
DPRK's Important Days Marked
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- The Mfumalanga Provincial Committee of the South African Communist Party and the South African Association of Friendship and Solidarity with Korean People jointly issued the special bulletin titled "President Kim Il Sung always lives in hearts of humankind" on April 1 on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
Edited in the bulletin were articles titled "Kim Il Sung, a Great Person" and "President Kim Il Sung Provided a Military Guarantee for Realizing the Cause of Independence", etc.
The bulletin in articles said that the President, who embarked on the road of the revolution in his early years, put an end to the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule to liberate the country and built socialist Korea, an ideal society of humankind, and turned it into a powerful socialist bulwark. The immortal exploits of the President who devoted his all to the Korean revolution and the cause of global independence have been always engraved in the mind of humankind, it stressed.
The bulletin noted that his cause is being successfully carried forward and accomplished by General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
The Egypt-Korea Friendship Association issued a bulletin on April 2 to mark the 15th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's election as chairman of the DPRK National Defence Commission.
In the article titled "Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il and the Korean People's Army", the bulletin elaborated on the fact that the KPA has fully displayed its might as the reliable defender of the socialist cause under the wise leadership of Kim Jong Il. His exploits for the strengthening of the KPA will shine forever, it stressed.
S. Korean Ruling Forces' Reckless Moves Assailed by Overseas Compatriots
Pyongyang, April 8 (KCNA) -- The United Confederation of Koreans in Russia released a statement on April 3, denouncing the anti-reunification moves of the south Korean ruling forces.
The statement said that Lee Myung Bak and his gentries are now trying to upset all the achievements made between the north and the south of Korea after the publication of the June 15 joint declaration, talking about "priority to the south Korea-U.S. relations", "complete solution of the north's nuclear issue" and "pragmatism".
The Lee Myung Bak regime is pursuing the policy of dependence on outsiders and inter-Korean confrontation in spite of the nation's desire for reunification growing stronger with the June 15 joint declaration and its practical programme, the October 4 declaration, the statement charged, saying: This means that they intend to scuttle the favorably developing north-south relations and oppose the reunification of the country so ardently desired by the entire nation.
The confederation calls upon all Koreans in the north and the south and overseas to resolutely turn out in the struggle against the anti-reunification policy of the Lee Myung Bak regime, it said.

Kim Jong Il inspecciona compania de Unidad No. 493 del EPC
Pyongyang, 8 de abril (ATCC) -- El Dirigente Kim Jong Il, Secretario General del Partido del Trabajo de Corea, Presidente del Comite de Defensa Nacional de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea y Comandante Supremo del Ejercito Popular de Corea, inspecciono una compania directamente subordinada a la Unidad No. 493 del EPC.
Tras enterarse del estado de cumplimiento del deber de la compania, el Dirigente vio un entrenamiento de los militares en la sala de ejercicios combinados.
Se mostro satisfecho de que todos los militares se forman como soldados omnipotentes capaces de cumplir diestramente cualquier mision dificil y complicada de combate y presento las tareas que se presentan para fortalecer mas la combatividad de la compania.
Atendio con afecto paternal la vida de los soldados recorriendo la sala de educacion, el dormitorio, el comedor, el deposito diario, el bano, el lugar de descanso al aire libre, el corral y otros lugares de la compania.
Destaco que los orgullosos exitos de esta compania ejemplar en todos los aspectos, incluyendo la administracion de la unidad y la educacion politica e ideologica, devienen el precioso resultado de la infinita fidelidad de los uniformados al partido y a la revolucion.
Anadio que tal espiritu revolucionario de lucha y el modo de vida del EPC heredero de las brillantes tradiciones creadas en la guerra antijaponesa permiten registrar hoy por doquier grandes prodigios que sorprenden a todo el mundo.
Subrayo que es importantisimo fortalecer la compania, unidad basica de combate del Ejercito Popular, y resalto la necesidad de seguir prestando mayor atencion a esta labor.
Tras ver una funcion artistica preparada por los militares de la compania, el Comandante Supremo se fotografio junto a estos.
Corea conmemora la eleccion de Kim Jong Il como Presidente del CDN
Pyongyang, 8 de abril (ATCC) -- Tuvo lugar este martes en la Casa Cultural 25 de Abril el acto central por el XV aniversario de la eleccion del Dirigente Kim Jong Il como Presidente del Comite de Defensa Nacional (CDN) de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea (RPDC).
Al acto asistieron Kim Yong Nam, Kim Yong Il, Kim Yong Chun y otros cuadros del partido, el ejercito y el Estado, presidentes de partidos amigos, funcionarios de los organismos del partido, las fuerzas armadas y el Poder, las organizaciones de masas, ministerios e instituciones centrales, oficiales y soldados del Ejercito Popular de Corea, funcionarios de los dominios de ciencia, educacion, cultura y arte, salud publica, prensa e informacion, innovadores laborales y trabajadores capitalinos.
El informe de la ocasion estuvo a cargo de Kim Yong Il, primer ministro del Consejo de Ministros de la RPDC, quien dijo en particular:
Al tener al Dirigente Kim Jong Il en el cargo supremo del CDN se preparo la firme garantia de cierta victoria para heredar la idea y las proezas del Presidente Kim Il Sung en materia de la construccion de la autodefensa nacional y su causa original de la construccion estatal y para llevar a feliz termino la causa revolucionaria del Juche iniciada en el monte Paektu.
En la historia de 60 anos de la RPDC los 15 anos posteriores a ese evento devienen una sagrada trayectoria de la revolucion en que se produjeron los cambios historicos y se lograron las grandes victorias en la realizacion de la causa de la construccion del Estado socialista y en la edificacion de la patria prospera bajo la bandera de la gran idea Juche y la del Songun (priorizacion militar).
Basandose en el analisis sobre la demanda de la revolucion coreana, el Dirigente formulo la politica de Songun como modo politico principal del socialismo y lo materializo globalmente en todos los dominios de la revolucion y la construccion, gracias a lo cual se abrio una nueva epoca de la revolucion jucheana, la del Songun.
Presento el ejercito popular como la fuerza medular de la unidad monolitica e hizo realizar la gran unidad entre el ejercito y el pueblo basada en la unanimidad en su idea y ambiente de lucha. Tambien, dio importancia a la opinion publica como medio omnipotente de la unidad monolitica y aglutino con el ferviente amor y abnegacion a todo el ejercito y pueblo en torno al partido para fortalecer el poderio de la unidad y cohesion de nuestras filas revolucionarias.
Planteo como primer deber de la construccion y actividades del Estado la intensificacion del poderio defensivo del pais y materializo con brillantez la idea autoctona de la construccion de defensa nacional y la linea de la edificacion de las fuerzas armadas revolucionarias, con lo cual fortalecio extraordinariamente el poderio militar del pais y consolido como muralla de acero la posicion militar de nuestra revolucion.
Con la aprobacion de la historica Declaracion Conjunta Norte-Sur del 15 de Junio y la Declaracion del 4 de Octubre, programa para materializarla globalmente, el convirtio las relaciones intercoreanas en las de reconciliacion y colaboracion y dio inicio a la nueva epoca en que el movimiento por la reunificacion de la patria avanza a pasos firmes en virtud del ideal de "Entre nosotros, los connacionales".
Gracias a la extraordinaria capacidad politica y diestras actividades exteriores del Dirigente, crecieron mas que nunca el prestigio y la influencia de la RPDC en la escena mundial, se ampliaron y se desarrollaron con rapidez sus relaciones exteriores y se fortalecio la solidaridad internacional con la revolucion coreana.
Al referirse a las tareas de todos nosotros, el informante subrayo la necesidad de asimilar profundamente, de mantener la idea y las proezas del Dirigente Kim Jong Il en materia de la construccion de defensa nacional y de materializar consecuentemente la idea y la linea del Songun tomando por guia directriz las hazanas del Dirigente realizadas en su direccion mediante este modo politico para fortalecer por todos los medios el poderio de la RPDC.
Cumpliremos sin falta la historica causa de reunificacion de la patria al desplegar con mayor intensidad la lucha por la reunificacion independiente, la paz y la prosperidad destruyendo resueltamente con las fuerzas unidas de la nacion la intervencion de las fuerzas foraneas y las maniobras de confrontacion con el Norte de las gobernantes fuerzas conservadoras proyanquis del Sur de Corea, apunto.
Debido a las invariables maniobras hostiles de EE.UU. a Corea, la situacion de la Peninsula Coreana sigue siendo tensa e inestable.
El ejercito y el pueblo de Corea observan con alta vigilancia revolucionaria el intento de EE.UU. y sus seguidores de aplastar a la RPDC y daran un despiadado y resuelto castigo sobre cualquier atentado minimo a la dignidad independiente y los intereses de nuestro pais.
Diputados a la APS rinden tributo a Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, 8 de abril (ATCC) -- Los diputados a la Asamblea Popular Suprema de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea quienes participaran en el sexto periodo de sesiones de la 11a legislatura de esta legislacion rindieron el dia 8 tributo ante el cuerpo del Presidente Kim Il Sung en el Palacio Memorial Kumsusan quien con la idea autoctona sobre la construccion del poder y la direccion original construyo la potencia socialista centrada en las masas populares y convirtio al pueblo coreano en el independiente y revolucionario .
Diputados depositan ofrenda floral ante el busto de Kim Jong Suk
Pyongyang, 8 de abril (ATCC) -- Los diputados a la Asamblea Popular Suprema de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea que participaran en la sexta sesion de la 11a legislatura de la APS depositaron el dia 8 una ofrenda floral ante el busto de la heroina de lucha antijaponesa Kim Jong Suk erguida en el Cementerio de Martires Revolucionarios en el Monte Taesong.
En el cinta de ofrenda se leia: "!Seran inmortales las hazanas revolucionarias de la heroina de lucha antijaponesa, camarada Kim Jong Suk!"
Los diputados guardaron un momento de silencio recordando la noble vida revolucionaria de Kim Jong Suk quien al hacerse los rayos del Gran Sol dedico todo lo suyo a la realizacion de la causa del Songun (priorizacion militar) del Juche y ofrecio al pueblo coreano grandes suertes de tener de generacion en generacion al gran Lider y al gran General.
Ellos tambien colocaron ramitas de flores ante el Cementerio de Martires Revolucionarios en el Monte Taesong y guardaron un momento de silencio en memoria de estos martires.
