Meeting Held to Pay Highest Tribute to Kim Jong Suk
Hoeryong, December 20 (KCNA) -- A meeting of party members, servicepersons and youth was held in Hoeryong, North Hamgyong Province Thursday to pay highest tribute to anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk and vow loyalty to General Secretary Kim Jong Il.
Present at the meeting were senior party, army and state officials, leading officials of the party and armed forces organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions, servicepersons of the Korean People's Army and officials, working people and youths and students in North Hamgyong Province and Hoeryong City.
A floral basket sent by Kim Jong Il was laid before the statue of Kim Jong Suk.
Also placed before the statue were a floral basket in the joint name of the Central Committee and the Central Military Commission of the Workers' Party of Korea and the National Defence Commission, the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly and the Cabinet of the DPRK and floral baskets in the name of KPA units and party and power organs, working people's organizations, institutions and enterprises, factories, farms and schools in North Hamgyong Province and Hoeryong City.
The participants of the meeting paid highest tribute to the statue of Kim Jong Suk.
Choe Thae Bok, alternate member of the Political Bureau and secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, speaking on behalf of the WPK, said that Kim Jong Suk lives in the hearts of the Korean people as a lifeguard of President Kim Il Sung, outstanding political activist and mother of revolution for her great revolutionary career and the immortal revolutionary exploits she performed for the country, the revolution, the times and humankind and noble revolutionary trait, adding that the noble image of the woman commander of Mt. Paektu will shine long along with the history of Songun Korea.
He called on all the people to uphold Kim Jong Il's Songun revolutionary leadership with loyalty despite whatever storm and stress and build without fail a great prosperous powerful socialist nation on this land true to the last instructions of the President and as desired by Kim Jong Suk during her lifetime and dynamically advance toward the final victory of the revolutionary cause of Juche.
KPA Vice-Marshal Kim Il Chol, minister of the People's Armed Forces, speaking on behalf of the KPA, said that the special feat performed by Kim Jong Suk in the history of the nation was that she gave birth to and brought up the bright star of Mt. Paektu, giving a steady continuity to the Songun revolution.
The officers and men of the People's Army will deeply trust and single-mindedly follow Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il only in whatever storm and stress and become ardent fighters and genuine Songun revolutionary comrades who would share their destiny with him to the end along the long journey of Songun revolution, he added.
Ri Yong Chol, first secretary of the Central Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, speaking on behalf of the youth, said that the great revolutionary life of Kim Jong Suk was an admirable life totally dedicated to resolutely defending Kim Il Sung as she devoted everything to him, absolutely trusting and following him only and it was a noble life because she brought up young people with boundless loving care for the younger generation.

Senior Officials Visit Hoeryong
Hoeryong, December 20 (KCNA) -- Senior party, army and state officials, the chairman of a friendly party and leading officials of party and armed forces organs, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions visited the old home of Kim Jong Suk, an anti-Japanese war hero, in Hoeryong, North Hamgyong Province on Thursday on the occasion of her 90th birth anniversary.
Being told about stories of her childhood in the yard of the home, they looked round the historic relics preserved there.

Kim Jong Suk's Birth Anniversary Commemorated
Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- Working people and members of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea (GFTUK) met at the Central Workers' Hall Wednesday to commemorate the 90th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.
Choe Su Dong, vice-chairman of the C.C., GFTUK, in a speech called on all the officials and members of the GFTUK to learn from the noble revolutionary outlook on the leader of Kim Jong Suk, who remained single-mindedly loyal to President Kim Il Sung after taking the road of the revolution in her early years, and become genuine revolutionary soldiers who firmly trust and follow Kim Jong Il only.

Main Roadmap of Kim Jong Suk's Revolutionary Activities Made
Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- The Geographical Institute under the State Academy of Sciences has newly made "Main Roadmap of Anti-Japanese Woman Hero Kim Jong Suk's Revolutionary Activities" (December 1917-September 1949).
The map is 223 cm in length and 143 cm in width centering Mt. Paektu.
It, made in the form of wall map on her 90th birth anniversary, gives the main courses of her revolutionary activities in order of date.
The courses of the revolutionary activities she had conducted with the secret camp of Mt. Paektu as the center before and after February 16, Juche 31 (1942), the birthday of Kim Jong Il, are marked in detail in a larger-scale partial map.
The locations of the headquarters, venues of major meetings, secret camps, temporary secret bases, major battle sites and other places where she had conducted revolutionary activities during the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle are also marked on the map along with their dates. It therefore helps readers study her revolutionary activities in combination with the strategic and tactical intention of the Korean revolution.
Other larger-scale partial maps give the spots of her revolutionary activities in Pyongyang and Chongjin after the liberation of the country together with their dates.

Hoeryong City Spruced Up
Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- An energetic work has been done this year to build better Hoeryong City, North Hamgyong Province where anti-Japanese woman hero Kim Jong Suk was born.
More than ten objects including the dormitory of Kim Jong Suk Teacher Training College, the Hoeryong Koryo Medicine Factory and the Hoeryong Noodle Restaurant and dwellings for hundreds of families were newly built.
Multi-storied dwelling houses were designed and constructed along the Hoeryong Stream in semi-round, zigzag, terraced and straight shapes so as to afford better convenience in the people's life.

Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- With the approach of the 16th anniversary (December 24) of Kim Jong Il's taking the Supreme Commandership of the Korean People's Army, the Korean people are looking back on the exploits performed by him in training KPA soldiers into the standard-bearers and main force of the Songun revolution.
He has made an endless journey of on-spot inspection to KPA units over the last four decades or more since he visited the Guard Seoul Ryu Kyong Su 105 Tank Division.
He put forth an army building program for modeling the whole army on the Juche idea and strengthened it into the army of the leader and the Party both in name and in reality.

More Materials on U.S. Atrocities Displayed
Kaesong, December 19 (KCNA) -- More than 60 materials proving the atrocities committed by the U.S. imperialists against the Korean people for a long period were unearthed and displayed at the Kaesong City Hall for Working Class Education.
The staff of the above-said hall succeeded in discovering and collecting new documents and photos with the help of many persons who experienced or witnessed those brutalities.
Among those materials on display are photos telling about how U.S. imperialists built churches in the area of Kaesong and preached reactionary religious idea and worship towards America through missionaries under the mask of "philanthropist" in the first half of the last century and more than ten photos and evidence including tools and medicine bottle used for conducting tests on living bodies of innocent Koreans in hospitals under the signboard of "medical treatment."
The new exhibits also include photos of GIs brutally killing many patriots and other people in the area of Kaesong who protested against the treacherous separate election forced upon them by the U.S. on May 10 after the liberation and hand writings of some persons who experienced the atrocities.
Visitors can see the materials testifying to the massacre of many patriots and other people committed by GIs in various places including Ryongjong-ri and Phungdok-ri and photos showing their destruction of the iron bridge across the River Ryesong and more than 10 tombs of kings dating back to the period of Koryo during the last Korean war.
These facts clearly indicate that the U.S. imperialist aggressors are the worst man-killers and disturber of peace.
Moves of Japanese Right-Wing Reactionaries against DPRK Blasted
Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- The evermore undisguised moves of the Japanese right-wing reactionaries come under fire by a signed article of Rodong Sinmun Thursday.
Noting that what is drawing particular attention in their moves is their vicious offensive against the DPRK, the article cites the following facts to prove it:
The Japanese Diet has recently decided to extend the sanctions against the DPRK including an embargo on DPRK-flagged ships six months under the pretext of the abduction issue. Timed to coincide with this, they are working hard to deter the United States from moving to delist the DPRK as a "sponsor of terrorism."
They have gone the lengths of warning the U.S. that its action to cross north Korea off the list of "sponsors of terrorism" would do harm to the Japan-U.S. alliance and push Japan to nuclear weaponization in the long-run.
Their pressure offensive against the DPRK is nothing but a revelation of the wicked intention and uneasiness of those who are much upset by the might and invincibility of the DPRK's socialist system centering on the popular masses.
The points agreed upon at the six-party talks are in the process of implementation. Voices supporting this process are also heard from the social and academic circles of Japan. It is only the right-wing reactionaries and their henchmen that are opposed to it.
Those reactionaries are seized with extreme zeal for reinvasion as they are steeped in militarism and revanchism to the marrow of their bones. They are citing the non-existent DPRK's "nuclear and missile threat" as a pretext for justifying the moves stepped up by them to let Japan emerge a military giant and accelerate nuclear weaponization.
What should not be overlooked is that the above-mentioned offensive is aimed to render the Japanese politics reactionary and fascist and bar the relations between the DPRK and Japan from improving.

Abrogation of NSL Urged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- Victims of the "National Security Law" (NSL) and prisoners of conscience in south Korea reportedly held a meeting in Seoul on Dec. 16, demanding the repeal of the evil law.
Speeches were made at the meeting by Ri Jae Chun, who was sentenced to prison terms after being charged as a "wire-puller of the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils", Ku Son Ok, wife of Ri Jong Hun, a member of the Democratic Labor Party who has been detained owing to the case of the "Single-minded Association", and others.
They demanded that the NSL, a draconic law of the era, be abolished without fail for the reunification of Korea.
Kim Jong Suk Praised in Different Countries
Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- A number of honorary titles, orders and medals were awarded to anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk and many books and poems praising her published and created in different countries during the last decade.
The Tumbes City Council of Peru decided to present Kim Jong Suk, woman commander of Mt. Paektu, with the world honorary citizenship and the city's golden key on the occasion of her 80th birth anniversary.
The Huaura Provincial Council of Peru adopted a decision to register her as an honorary citizen of Huacho City and presented her with a certificate of honorary citizen and a gold medal.
A special plenary meeting of the Loja City Government, the special Council of the Catamayo City Government of Loja Province, a special meeting of the Yantzaza City Council of Zamora Chinchipe Province and the Troncal City Council of Canar Province in Ecuador decided to award the titles of honorary citizen to her. And the French Institute for the Fidelity in Work conferred on her a gold medal and honorary certificate and the Cajamarca Provincial Council of Peru an honorary certificate of merit.
A great king of a community in Aba City, Abia State of Nigeria awarded her the title of the chief of the tribe "Great mother of all people" and a souvenir key of Aba City proving that she is an honorary citizen of the city.
The League of Experts for Egyptian Cultural and International Civilization Dialogue granted her a cup depicting a man holding up the globe and a certificate praising her feats and the National Association of Writers and Artists of Peru the great medal "Sun of the National Association of Writers and Artists of Peru" and its certificate.
The "Contribution to Victory" Organizing Committee of the International Commemoration Movement of Russia conferred on her its social order "Contribution to Victory" together with its certificate and the written decision. The Nepal Journalist Association registered her as a special honorary member of the association.
Among the books and poems praising her were collection of true stories "Comrade Kim Jong Suk, an Indomitable Anti-Japanese Woman Fighter" and a picture album on her revolutionary activities brought out in China.
Such books as "Flying towards the Sun", "Banner of Great Victory", "Mother of the Korean Revolution" and "Going through Storms" were published in Russia, Nepal, India, Peru and El Salvador.
A Syrian political figure created epic "Kim Jong Suk, light of the sun" and a poet of Peru poem "Mother's Uniform".

Pyongyang, December 20 (KCNA) -- A meeting was held in Russia, a ceremony of opening the Korean book, photo and handicraft exhibition in Mexico and a film show in Libya on Dec. 10 and 12 to commemorate the 16th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of office as supreme commander of the Korean People's Army and the 90th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.
On display in the venues of the functions were famous works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, photos showing the undying feats of their Songun revolutionary leadership, books and pictures introducing Songun Korea and handicrafts demonstrating the creative skills of the Korean people.

Pyongyang, 20 de diciembre (ATCC) -- En los ultimos 10 anos, fueron otorgados a la heroina de lucha antijaponesa Kim Jong Suk titulos honorarios, ordenes y medallas de varios paises.
Igualmente se crearon y se editaron numerosos libros y poesias en homenaje a ella.
En ocasion del 80o aniversario de natalicio (24 de diciembre) de la generala del monte Paektu, el consejo de la ciudad de Tumbes del Peru decidio dedicarle el titulo de ciudadana honoraria del mundo y la llave de oro de la ciudad.
El consejo de la provincia peruana de Huaura le concedio el certificado de ciudadana honoraria de la ciudad de Huacho y la medalla de oro tras aprobar una resolucion correspondiente.
Quedaron aprobadas semejantes resoluciones en la reunion plenaria especial del gobierno de la ciudad de Loja, el consejo especial del gobierno de la Ciudad de Catamayo de la provincia de Loja, la reunion especial del consejo de la ciudad de Yantzaza de la provincia de Zamora Chinchipe, el Consejo de la Ciudad de Troncal de la provincia de Canar, del Ecuador.
Mientras tanto, el Instituto por la Fidelidad en Trabajo de Francia confirio la medalla de oro y el certificado honorario y el consejo de la provincia de Cajamarca del Peru, el diploma honorario.
El gran rey de una comunidad de la ciudad de Aba del Estado de Abia de Nigeria dedico a Kim Jong Suk el titulo de jefa de tribu "Gran madre de todo el pueblo" y la llave de la ciudad de Aba que la identifica como ciudadana honoraria de esta urbe.
La Liga de los Expertos para el Dialogo de Civilizacion Cultural e Internacional de Egipto le dirigio el premio en que se ve un hombre sosteniendo la Tierra y el certificado de elogio a sus hazanas y la Asociacion Nacional de Escritores y Artistas del Peru, la gran medalla del "Sol de la Asociacion Nacional de Escritores y Artistas del Peru" y el diploma.
El Comite Organizador del Movimiento Conmemorativo Internacional de Rusia "Contribucion a la Victoria" le otorgo la orden social "Contribucion a la Victoria" junto con el certificado y resolucion y la Asociacion de Periodistas de Nepal la nombro como miembro especial de honor.
Por otra parte, en China se dieron a luz la coleccion de historias autenticas "Camarada Kim Jong Suk, indoblegable combatiente de lucha antijaponesa" y el album alusivo a sus actividades revolucionarias.
En Rusia, Nepal, India, Peru y Salvador se publicaron los libros bajo los titulos de "Volando hacia el Sol", "Bandera de la gran victoria", "Madre de la revolucion coreana", "Superando la tempestad", etc.
El politico sirio Riyad Suleiman Awad y el poeta peruano crearon la epopeya "Kim Jong Suk, rayo de Sol" y la poesia "Uniforme militar de la Madre", respectivamente.
En tanto, Zhou Wei, hija de Zhou Baozhong, hombre chino relacionado con la Lucha Revolucionaria Antijaponesa, el poeta cubano Carmelo Garcia Fernandez, el presidente del Centro Internacional de Estudio de Medios de Informacion Masiva Juche en Nepal, P. C. Sharma, y otras personalidades publicaron las poesias "Madre Kim Jong Suk, azalea de Corea", "Poesia a la Madre Kim Jong Suk", "Madre Kim Jong Suk - Madre de Corea", "Libreta pequena de la Generala", entre otras.
Se conmemora el 90o aniversario del nacimiento de Kim Jong Suk
Pyongyang, 20 de diciembre (ATCC) -- Con motivo del 90o aniversario del nacimiento de la heroina de lucha antijaponesa, Kim Jong Suk, tuvo lugar el dia 19 en la Casa Central de los Obreros un acto conmemorativo de los obreros y gremiales.
Al hacer uso de la palabra, Choe Su Dong, vicepresidente del Comite Central de la Federacion General de los Sindicatos de Corea dijo que todos los funcionarios sindicales y los gremiales deben aprender la sublime concepcion revolucionaria del lider que poesia Kim Jong Suk quien tomo temprano el camino de la revolucion y quedo invariablemente fiel al Presidente Kim Il Sung y deben ser verdaderos revolucionarios quienes confian y siguen solo al Dirigente Kim Jong Il.
La ex-combatiente revolucionaria antijaponesa Ri Yong Suk recordo con emocion los hechos historicos de que Kim Jong Suk crio a su hijo como lucero de Corea en el fragor de la guerra revolucionaria antijaponesa y defendio a costa de la vida al Presidente sirviendose de un baluarte y escudo.
Las personas quienes en el periodo posterior a la liberacion del pais disfrutaban de la gloria de vivir cerca de Kim Jong Suk hablaron con gran emocion sus experimentos sobre nobles rasgos de ella quien dispenso un gran amor a los hijos de los martires revolucionarios y formo con la sublime virtud a los obreros como fidedignos trabajadores de la construccion de la patria prospera.
En la escena se pusieron el duo mixto "Vivimos en esa colina de Dashahe", el trio femenino la imperecedera obra clasica "Mi madre", el solo femenino "Arirang difundido en Jiansanfeng", la cancion acompanada con oungum (instrumento musical) "Cancion de cuna resonada en el pico Jongil" y otras piezas.
En el certamen de oratoria que tuvo lugar el mismo dia en la Universidad Politecnica Kim Chaek con motivo de esta efemeride, los oradores elogiaron la preciosa vida y hazanas revolucionarias de la heroina de lucha antijaponesa Kim Jong Suk quien con la inconmovible concepcion revolucionaria del lider, la firme conviccion en la victoria y noble virtud lucho abnegadamente por el Presidente Kim Il Sung, la patria, la revolucion y el pueblo.
El mismo dia, en la ciudad de Hoeryong se ofrecio la escena de poesia y canciones de los jovenes y estudiantes de todo el pais por la misma efemeride.
