The position and say of the NAM have increased in the international arena including the UN since the 14th Havana summit, he noted, adding that this teaches a historical truth once again that if the NAM goes united, it is sure to win but if it is divided, it is bound to suffer a defeat.
It is essential to collectively counter the evermore undisguised unilateral and high-handed practices and thus boost the capability for joint action of the NAM for the purpose of protecting the sovereignty and interests of its member states, he noted, clarifying the following views of his delegation in this respect: The member nations of the NAM should, above all, pay sustained great attention to thoroughly rejecting the attempt of the separatist forces to destabilize the NAM and consolidating its unity and cohesion.
Then they should give full play to the NAM's capability for action in ensuring that the double standards are thoroughly rejected and the principle of equality and impartiality is firmly observed in the international relations.
