Urging the National Assembly to fully investigate the legalization of the spending for the relocation of the U.S. Second Division, an attempt to increase the share of "defence spending", etc. and punish those responsible for the moves, the press release strongly demanded the "government" repeal the "agreement" itself.

Chief of Pyongyang Mission of AINDF Interviewed

Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- Chief Jo Il Min of the Pyongyang Mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front was interviewed by KCNA on Wednesday on the occasion of the 7th anniversary of the historic June 15 joint declaration.
He said that there took place the historic Pyongyang summit, the first of its kind since the country's division, which culminated in the publication of the June 15 joint declaration, a landmark of independent national reunification, adding that this eye-opening event was the fruition of the fixed will and outstanding leadership of Kim Jong Il to present a reunified country to the Korean nation so as to fulfill the behests of President Kim Il Sung.
He referred to the facts that the reverence for Kim Jong Il is growing stronger among south Koreans as the days go by and they are becoming more vocal in their support to the Songun policy pursued by him.
Feeling uneasy and fearful of the south Koreans unanimously revering and following Kim Jong Il, the U.S. imperialists and their followers are working hard to bring back the June 15 era when the whole nation is advancing in firm unity, he said, and went on:
The U.S. imperialists have kept the south Korean people under the yoke of unbearable colonial slavery since their occupation of south Korea. They are working hard to install a pro-U.S. regime there by whipping together remnants of the military fascist dictatorship and wire-pulling them behind the scene, while perpetrating ceaseless moves for a war against the DPRK.
The June 15 joint declaration can neither be implemented nor can the reunification of the country be achieved as long as the U.S. and its lackeys the pro-U.S. conservative forces including the "Grand National Party" are allowed to go on the rampage to bring back to south Korea the dark period of the fascist dictatorship and the Cold War era of confrontation with the DPRK.
The patriotic people in the south are waging a strenuous struggle to oust foreign forces from south Korea and shatter the moves of the pro-U.S. conservative forces to return to power under the slogan of a great alliance against the U.S. and conservatism as they are well aware of the U.S. imperialists' true colors as aggressors and the fascist and anti-reunification nature of the GNP through history and their bitter experiences.
As they are led by Kim Jong Il, a peerless patriot and the great Songun brilliant commander, the Koreans will emerge victorious in the struggle to implement the June 15 joint declaration and surely greet the day of glory when they live a happy life holding in high esteem the sun of Songun in the reunified country.
The vanguard fighters and patriotic people from all walks of life in south Korea will step up their dynamic march for independent reunification under the uplifted banner of "By our nation itself," cherishing the immense national pride of holding in high esteem Kim Jong Il who ushered in the June 15 era of reunification.

Inheritance of Spirit of June Resistance Urged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- Ryu Son Min, chairperson of the south Korean Federation of University Student Councils, reportedly issued a statement on June 10, calling for inheriting the spirit of the June resistance and achieving genuine democracy.
Noting that 20 years have passed since the massive anti-U.S., anti-fascist resistance of the people of all social strata was waged in protest against the system of colonial military fascist dictatorship of the U.S. imperialists and their stooges in June 1987, the statement said:
The June people's resistance under the slogans "down with dictatorship" and "oust U.S. imperialists" left to the youth and students the bloody lesson that genuine democracy could not be won without independence.
This is high time an end was put to the domination and interference of the U.S. imperialists and independence, peace and reunification were achieved.
The youth and students at present are facing the important task to wage an extensive struggle to have a peace agreement signed and the "National Security Law" scrapped, check the conclusion of the "Free Trade Agreement", get the U.S. forces withdrawn from south Korea and dissolve the "Grand National Party" and thus achieve national independence by inheriting the spirit of the June resistance.
The youth and students will wage a dynamic struggle for true independence, democracy and reunification of this land.

Piffle of S. Korean Conservative Media Debunked

Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- The joint press release that came at the end of the 21st inter-Korean ministerial talks gave assurances that the inter-Korean relations would be lifted to a higher stage in the spirit of "By our nation itself" in the future.
The south Korean conservative media including Dong-A Ilbo and Munhwa Ilbo, taking issue with this, got overheated in misleading public opinion, arguing that "By our nation itself" is a "political expression of the north's strategy toward the south".
Commenting on this, a Rodong Sinmun analyst Thursday says:
This can never be tolerated, being a treacherous folly of denying the June 15 joint declaration, the milestone of reunification common to the nation, and fanning up confrontation between the north and the south.
"By our nation itself" is a great proposition in the era of independent reunification clearly laid down in the June 15 joint declaration and a noble patriotic idea unanimously supported by the nation.
Some south Korean conservative media, however, departing from the stand of the press, are decrying the idea of "By our nation itself", the landmark in the June 15 era of reunification, whipping up inter-Korean confrontation and throwing a wet blanket over the reconciliation and unity of the nation. This shows that they are trumpeters on the payroll of the aggressive outside forces and reactionary conservative forces including the Grand National Party.
The media of the era of "By our nation itself" should and must publish articles promoting the reconciliation and unity of the fellow countrymen and encouraging the movement for independent reunification.
There is no room in the June 15 era of reunification for the phony media unburdening themselves of a nasty spate of delirium, ignorant of the interests of the nation and the desire of the fellow countrymen.

Great Life of Kim Chol Ju

Pyongyang, June 14 (KCNA) -- Kim Chol Ju, an ardent revolutionary, turned a brilliant page in the history of the Korean revolution for his great life showing the philosophical principle of the revolutionary confidence which still seizes firmly the heart of the Korean people.
He was born in Mangyongdae on June 12, Juche 5 (1916) as the second son of Kim Hyong Jik, an outstanding leader of the anti-Japanese national liberation movement in Korea, and Kang Pan Sok, an indomitable revolutionary fighter.
He left the native home village in his early years following his parents and spent his childhood in Kangdong of Korea and Linjiang, Badaogou, Fusong, Antu and other parts of China. He keenly experienced the sorrow and misfortune of a ruined nation, cultivating hatred for the Japanese imperialists and the spirit of resistance to them.
The deep care and guidance of President Kim Il Sung were the wherewithal and nutritive elements by which he could grasp the truth of the revolution and grow to be a true revolutionary with an indomitable fighting spirit, stubborn will and noble traits and virtues.
He devoted himself to the cause for the fatherland and nation with a firm faith that the Korean revolution was sure to win under the leadership of the President and the liberation of the country and the final victory of the revolution could be achieved only when protecting him.
He took as the maxim the speech of the President at the Mingyuegou Meeting held in December 1931 and made all efforts he could to successfully accelerate the work with the Chinese Anti-Japanese National Salvation Army.
Deceived by the Japanese imperialists' national alienation policy and pernicious propaganda, the Chinese anti-Japanese units ill thought about Korean revolutionaries. He boldly went among the units and led them to unswervingly take the true road of anti-Japanese struggle with his flawless Chinese and speech, flexible tactics and extraordinary knowledge.
He also awakened intellectuals, handicraftsmen, small traders and even minor landlords as well as workers and peasants in the Antu area to rally them under the anti-Japanese banner and render positive support to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, thus making a prominent contribution to consolidation of mass foundation for the anti-Japanese armed struggle.
Kim Chol Ju died a heroic death at a sudden encounter with enemies near Chechangzi on June 14, 1935.
He was, indeed, an indomitable revolutionary soldier who upheld President Kim Il Sung with his confidence and obligation.

Rodong Sinmun condena algunas prensas surcoreanas
