Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il, together with KPA commanding officers, visited the Kumsusan Memorial Palace on Wednesday morning on the occasion of the 75th founding anniversary of the heroic KPA.
A solemn atmosphere prevailed in the palace where President Kim Il Sung, father of socialist Korea, founder of the revolutionary armed forces and the father of the nation, lies in state.
Kim Jong Il, together with the commanding officers, paid homage to Kim Il Sung.
He was accompanied by KPA General Kim Kyok Sik, chief of the KPA General Staff, KPA Vice Marshal Kim Il Chol, member of the DPRK NDC and minister of the People's Armed Forces, staff members of the KPA Supreme Command and commanders of the KPA services and arms.
Kim Jong Il Enjoys Performance of KPA State Merited Chorus
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il, together with servicepersons appreciated a performance given by the KPA State Merited Chorus on Wednesday to celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of the heroic KPA.
Put on the stage were "Song of General Kim Jong Il", "Always Looking Up to the Leader," "The Korean People's Army, the Army of Mt. Paektu", "The Forest Sways", "Song of Comradeship", "We Will Defend the Headquarters of Revolution with Our Lives" and other choruses.
The performers highly sang of the proud 75-year long history of the heroic KPA which has advanced along the road of victory and glory under the uplifted red flag of revolution. And they strikingly demonstrated the iron faith and indomitable will of the Korean army and people to accomplish the revolutionary cause of Juche started in the forests of Mt. Paektu.
At the end of the performance, Kim Jong Il waved back to the enthusiastically cheering performers and audience and congratulated the performers on their successful performance.
Greatly satisfied to enjoy the admirable performance replete with the spirit of the Songun era, the revolutionary solider spirit, he expressed the expectation and conviction that all the artistes of the chorus would more inspiringly encourage the army and the people of the DPRK to the general advance of the Songun revolution through their vigorous revolutionary artistic activities.

Grand Military Parade Held on Army Day
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- A grand military parade of units of the three services of the Korean People's Army, the Korean People's Security Forces, the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and the Young Red Guards was held at Kim Il Sung Square in Pyongyang on Wednesday to celebrate the 75th founding anniversary of the KPA.
Seen in the square was a portrait of President Kim Il Sung, the father of socialist Korea, the founder of the army and an ever-victorious iron-willed commander.
Large balloons were floating in the air above the square and slogans were displayed on the walls of the buildings surrounding it and flags of the KPA supreme commander, the Workers' Party of Korea and the DPRK seen hanging.
Columns of paraders lined up in the square.
The flags of the DPRK and the KPA supreme commander were hoisted amidst the playing of the national anthem.
General Secretary Kim Jong Il mounted the tribune of honor of the square.
It was also taken by Kim Yong Nam, president of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly, Jo Myong Rok, first vice-chairman of the NDC and director of the KPA General Political Department, Kim Yong Il, premier of the Cabinet, Kim Kyok Sik, chief of the KPA General Staff, Kim Yong Chun and Ri Yong Mu, vice-chairmen of the NDC, Kim Il Chol, minister of the People's Armed Forces, Yang Hyong Sop, vice-president of the SPA Presidium, Choe Yong Rim, secretary general of the SPA Presidium, and Jon Pyong Ho, Choe Thae Bok, Kim Kuk Thae, Kim Jung Rin and Kim Ki Nam, secretaries of the WPK Central Committee, Kwak Pom Gi and Ro Tu Chol, vice-premiers, Kim Yong Dae, chairman of the C.C., the Korean Social Democratic Party, Ryu Mi Yong, chairwoman of the C.C., the Korean Chondoist Chongu Party, staff members of the KPA Supreme Command, commanders of the KPA services and arms, leading officials of party and armed forces organs and working people's organizations.
The reviewing stands were taken by officials of party and power organs, public organizations, ministries and national institutions, anti-Japanese revolutionary fighters, KPA servicepersons, officials in the fields of science, education, culture and arts, public health and media, heroes, those related to the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, members of bereaved families of revolutionary martyrs, persons of distinguished services, working people in Pyongyang, the chief of the Pyongyang mission of the Anti-Imperialist National Democratic Front, and members of overseas compatriots' delegations from various regions including a delegation of Koreans in Japan.
Present there on invitation were diplomatic envoys of foreign countries and representatives of international organizations here, members of the military attaches corps and foreign guests.
The chief of the General Staff reported to Kim Jong Il that all was ready to begin the military parade.
KPA General Kim Kyok Sik, chief of the KPA General Staff, in a speech said that Kim Il Sung opened a new history of the Songun revolutionary leadership by founding a revolutionary army and defeated the two ferocious and formidable imperialist enemies and led the Korean people's struggle for sovereignty, independence and socialism to victory with the army as a main force.
It was thanks to the supreme commander's outstanding and tested Songun revolutionary leadership that the KPA has been able to firmly defend the ideology, system and cause of the DPRK and creditably discharge its mission and duty as a pillar of revolution and a vanguard force for the prosperity of the country, winning one victory after another in the confrontation with the U.S. and in the struggle to defend socialism, he said.
Should the U.S. imperialists infringe even a bit upon the sovereignty of the DPRK and its right to existence the KPA will wipe them out at a single stroke and accomplish the historic cause of national reunification, the cherished desire of the nation, without fail, he said, warning the Japanese reactionaries and other forces supporting the U.S. imperialists in their anti-DPRK moves not to run amuck, clearly understanding the militant might and heroic stamina of the KPA.
A bugle call announcing the start of the parade was followed by the entry into the square of a limousine carrying a banner bearing the portrait of Kim Il Sung escorted by the KPA colors.
All the paraders paid deep respects to the President, looking up at the banner.
A column of Kim Il Sung Military University marched past the tribune of honor in fine array to the tune of the military music to be followed by columns of KPA military academies at all levels including Kim Il Sung Political University and Kang Kon General Military Academy, those of the KPA three services including the Guard Kang Kon Infantry Division No. 2, the Guard Seoul Infantry Division No. 3, the Guard Seoul Kim Chaek Infantry Division No. 4, the Guard Naval Squadron No. 2 and those of the Korean People's Security Forces.
Columns of such revolutionary militias as the Worker-Peasant Red Guards and the Young Red Guards, and columns of revolutionary schools also marched past the tribune of honor.
Kim Jong Il acknowledged every parading unit when it marched past.
Columns of rocket units of the KPA also went past.
At the end of the parade Kim Jong Il went out to the balcony of the tribune of honor and waved back to the enthusiastically cheering crowds.
Pyongyang citizens warmly welcomed the participants in the successful parade on the streets of the city.

Led by young men and women holding a flag of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League bearing the portrait of President Kim Il Sung and the torchlight of revolution, columns of the Fatherland Liberation War veterans, persons of merit, officials of the youth league and students of revolutionary schools entered the square. They were followed by columns of youth and students forming words "Kim Il Sung".
The participants in the square depicted with torchlights a pistol and five-pointed star and words "DIU" (Down-with-Imperialism Union), "1932" and "4.25" depicting the immortal feats performed by Kim Il Sung in the army-building.
Led by the flag of the supreme commander, columns of participants marched past, presenting words "Kim Jong Il".
Huge star of marshal and words "Illustrious Songun commander" were formed on the square.
Loud cheers of "Let us defend the headquarters of the revolution led by the great Comrade Kim Jong Il at the cost of our lives!" were heard from the columns of the participants forming large letters "Strong army born of Mt. Paektu", "Great prosperous powerful nation", "Single-minded unity", "National reunification", etc.
At the end of the procession gorgeous fireworks were displayed, brightening the nocturnal sky of the square on the significant April day.
Evening Galas of Youths and Students Held on Army Day
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Dancing parties of youths and students were held across the country on April 25 to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the Korean People's Army.
The plazas of the Monument to Party Founding, the Arch of Triumph and the Pyongyang Indoor Stadium in the capital city of Pyongyang were crowded with youths and students significantly celebrating the anniversary with high pride and joy.
The dancing parties began with the solemn playing of the song "Long Live Generalissimo Kim Il Sung." The participants presented a sea of dances with deep reverence and yearning for Kim Il Sung who founded the genuine people's armed unit for the first time in the nation's history and defeated the two imperialisms in one generation.
Dancing to the tune of such songs as "Our General Is Best", "Let Us Sing of Our Pride in Being under the Guidance of the General", "Let Us Sing of the Army-People Unity" and "Let Us Join in the Army of the General," they displayed the firm confidence that only victory and glory are in store for the Korean revolutionary armed forces as they are guided by Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il, and the high pride and honor of the Korean nation blessed with the illustrious generals through generations.

75th Anniversary of KPA Editorially Observed
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- The Korean People's Army will always demonstrate its dignity as the revolutionary army of the three generals of Mt. Paektu and the ever-victorious history of the Juche-oriented revolution which advances with the army in the van under the experienced and seasoned leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea will steadily move ahead, says Rodong Sinmun today.

Letter of Greetings to Kim Jong Il from AINDF

Kim Il Sung's Work Published in Venezuela
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung's famous work "Young People and Students, Be the Vanguard of Our Times" was brought out in booklet by the Canta Clara Publishing House of Venezuela on April 14.
The work, published on July 1, Juche 78 (1989), underscores the need for the young people and students to perform their honorable mission in the struggle for the prosperity of the country, firmly unite with the youth and students of different countries and make a positive contribution to the cause common to humankind.
Day of Sun Commemorated Abroad
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Meetings were held in Pakistan, Austria and the UK from April 9 to 14 on the occasion of the Day of the Sun.
On display in the venues of those meetings were famous works of the peerlessly great men, photos showing their glorious revolutionary history and undying feats performed by them and photos introducing the invincible might of Songun Korea.
Speeches were made at those meetings.

Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Greenhouse Opens in Indonesia
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- The Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Greenhouse built in Puncak area, Bogor City of Indonesia, was opened to visitors on the occasions of the Day of the Sun and the 42nd anniversary of the naming of Kimilsungia.
Its opening ceremony took place on the spot on Apr. 18.
Present there were the vice-director of the Bogor Botanical Garden in Indonesia, the director of an Indonesian company, Clara Bundt, daughter of Bundt who bred Kimilsungia, and her party and members of the botanical gardens in Bogor and Puncak area.
The director of the company said in a speech that the Kimilsungia-Kimjongilia Greenhouse was wonderfully built with the Indonesian people's boundless reverence for Kim Il Sung, president of the DPRK. And he expressed the resolution to bring Kimilsungia and Kimjongilia, immortal flowers, into full bloom at that significant greenhouse and widely propagate them.
Clara Bundt said it is great happiness and pride of her family that Kimilsungia has been widely known to the world as an immortal flower and become a symbol of friendship between Indonesia and the DPRK.
Pyongyang Declaration Supported Abroad
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Russian and Indian political figures released statements to support the Pyongyang Declaration "Let Us Defend and Advance the Cause of Socialism".
Nina Andreyeva, general secretary of the Central Committee of the All-Union Communist Party of Bolsheviks, in her statement on April 18 said that the Pyongyang Declaration instilled fresh vigor into the socialist cause and served as a torch of struggle for the progressive people of the world to get rid of the imperialist yoke in the most complicated and dark period.
The torch has been raised higher by Kim Jong Il, she said, adding: His Songun politics has clearly showed that though it is small, any country can advance victoriously even under the very difficult conditions in which the U.S., chieftain of the world imperialists, has persistently put strong pressure upon it.
D. Raja, secretary of the National Council of the Communist Party of India, in a statement on April 19 said that the reality of the DPRK, in which the people-centered socialism is defended, gives great hope and confidence to many people of the world aspiring after socialism.
Harising Khang, member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist), in a statement on April 18 recalled the fact that the Pyongyang Declaration was signed by more than 270 political parties of the world, and stressed that the victory of socialism, the ideal of humankind, is inevitable.
Successful Oratorical Contesters Perform on Army Day
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- The successful participants of the national oratorical contest held to celebrate the 75th anniversary of the heroic Korean People's Army performed at the People's Palace of Culture on Tuesday.
The performance was appreciated by Kim Ki Nam, secretary of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, leading officials of the working people's organizations and working people and youths and students in Pyongyang.
Seven orators including O Sang Chol, a staff member of the Sariwon Railway Branch of the Pyongyang Railway Bureau, performed under the titles "Long live the great Songun politics!" Wreaths Laid on Army Day
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Wreaths were laid before the statues of martyrs and the monuments to the fallen fighters of the Korean People's Army and their graves across the country on Wednesday, the 75th birthday of the KPA.
Placed there were wreaths, together with bouquets and flowers, in the name of party and power organs, working people's organizations, KPA units and scientific, educational, cultural and art, public health and media organs, industrial establishments, farms and schools in local areas.
The participants observed a moment's silence to the memory of the anti-Japanese revolutionary martyrs and the fallen fighters of the KPA.
Present at the wreath-laying ceremonies were officials of the party and power bodies and working people's organizations, servicepersons, working people and school youth and children in localities.
Japan's Anti-DPRK Policy Protested
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- Some time ago, the Japanese authorities decided to extend the enforcement of "sanctions" on the DPRK, including the ban on entry of the ship "Mangyongbong-92" into Japanese ports, for six months longer.
In this regard, officials of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and Koreans in Japan are waging the ceaseless struggle to protest against such tough policy towards the DPRK.
The officials of the Shimonoseki Branch in Yamaguchi Prefecture of Chongryon and Korean residents staged a signature campaign around Shimonoseki Railway Station on April 20, condemning the Japanese authorities' moves against the DPRK and Chongryon.
Officials of Chongryon and Korean residents in Ube City and other areas in Yamaguchi Prefecture declared that they would continue the signature campaign denouncing the Japanese authorities' moves against the DPRK and their political suppression of Koreans in Japan till the end of May.

Message of Thanks to Kim Jong Il from Chongryon
Pyongyang, April 25 (KCNA) -- General Secretary Kim Jong Il received a message of thanks from the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) on Tuesday.
Referring to his sending of a huge amount of educational aid fund and stipends to Chongryon for its democratic national education, the message said that the educational aid fund and stipends sent by President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il to it in 153 installments for the past half a century since April 8, 1957 total to 46,006,223,000 yen in Japanese currency.

@Desfilaron por la plaza las columnas de las academias militares a todos los niveles, las de las unidades de las fuerzas terrestres, navales y aereas del EPC, las de la Guarnicion Popular de Corea, las de la Guardia Roja Obrero-Campesina, las de la Guardia Juvenil Roja y las de las escuelas revolucionarias.
@Seguidamente, pasaron por delante de la tribuna los escuadrones de cohetes manifestando el invencible poderio del EPC dispuesto de todos los medios modernos de ataque y de defensa.
Periodicos capitalinos dedican editoriales al 75o aniversario del EPC
Pyongyang, 25 de abril (ATCC) -- El Ejercito Popular de Corea exaltara siempre su dignidad como ejercito revolucionario de los tres Generales Insignes del monte Paektu y continuara la historia de victorias de la revolucion del Juche que avanza dando importancia a las fuerzas armadas bajo la probada direccion del Partido del Trabajo de Corea.
Senala asi el periodico Rodong Sinmun en un editorial de este miercoles y continua:
La historia de los 75 anos del EPC es una gloriosa trayectoria en que este vino exaltando su poderio como poderoso grueso de la revolucion del Juche bajo la direccion del Songun (priorizacion militar) de esos Generales.
El Presidente Kim Il Sung es el gran hombre sin par quien dio inicio a la causa del Songun y bajo la bandera de esta allano el camino original de la construccion de las fuerzas armadas revolucionarias.
En la trayectoria del EPC, llena de triunfos y glorias, brillan las imborrables huellas de la heroina de lucha antijaponesa, la generala Kim Jong Suk, quien dedico todo lo suyo a la autoctona causa de construccion del ejercito.
Gracias a la direccion del Songun del Dirigente Kim Jong Il, el EPC entro en el apogeo de su desarrollo.
En el periodo trascendental para la revolucion coreana, el dio continuidad al linaje del Songun y estuvo siempre en el largo camino del Songun construyendo asi una invencible potencia militar socialista, a la que no se atreve a atentar cualquier enemigo poderoso. Esto deviene la maxima proeza del Dirigente acumulada ante la patria y la revolucion.
El EPC es el fuerte en la ideologia y la fe que tiene absoluta fidelidad a su Comandante Supremo, no conoce ninguna imposibilidad tanto en la confrontacion con los enemigos como en la construccion socialista y cuenta con el apoyo total del pueblo, con el cual mantiene lazos consanguineos.
Es preciso tomar por eterna linea vital la original idea del Songun del Presidente y sus proezas logradas en la direccion basada en este pensamiento. Apoyar con fidelidad la direccion del Songun del Dirigente deviene garantia decisiva para llevar adelante la historia de victorias siempre de la revolucion con las fuerzas armadas, que se inicio en el monte Paektu.
Por su parte, el editorial del periodico Minju Joson subraya que si cuenta con el heroico EPC, que se fundo y crecio en el regazo de los Generales legendarios del monte Paektu, se forjo ferreamente en la enconada batalla de vida o muerte contra los imperialistas y en la construccion socialista y exalta de siglo a siglo su poderio como el ejercito del Presidente Kim Il Sung, no nos hay nada que temer ni existe ninguna meta inalcanzable.
Editada en folleto obra de Kim Il Sung en Venezuela
Pyongyang, 25 de abril (ATCC) -- La Editorial Cantaclara de Venezuela dio a luz el dia 14 en folleto la obra maestra del Presidente Kim Il Sung "Que los jovenes y estudiantes sean vanguardias de la epoca", publicada el primero de julio del 78 (1989) de la Era Juche.
Esta obra resalta que los jovenes y estudiantes deben cumplir satisfactoriamente con su honrosa mision en la lucha por la prosperidad de la patria y solidarizarse firmemente con sus homologos de varios paises del mundo para contribuir activamente a la causa comun de la humanidad.
Inaugurado en Indonesia Invernaculo de Kimilsungia y Kimjongilia
Pyongyang, 25 de abril (ATCC) -- En ocasion del Dia del Sol (15 de abril, cumpleanos del Presidente Kim Il Sung) y del 42o aniversario de la denominacion de Kimilsungia, fue inaugurado un nuevo invernaculo de esta flor y Kimjongilia en la zona de Puncak de la ciudad de Bogor de Indonesia.
En la ceremonia inaugural, que se efectuo en ese lugar el dia 18, participaron el subdirector del jardin botanico de Bogor, el director de una compania de Indonesia, Clara Bundt, hija de Bundt -cultivador de Kimilsungia-, y su comitiva y otros trabajadores de la primera entidad y del jardin botanico de la zona de Puncak.
En su alocucion, el director de la compania dijo que el invernaculo fue construido magnificamente gracias a la infinita veneracion del pueblo indonesio hacia el Presidente Kim Il Sung de la Republica Popular Democratica de Corea y expreso su determinacion de hacer florecer de lleno en este significativo lugar las Kimilsungias y Kimjongilias para propagarlas ampliamente.
Clara Bundt, afirmo que Kimilsungia se hizo la inmarcesible flor ampliamente conocida en el mundo y el simbolo de la amistad entre Indonesia y Corea y prosiguio que esto resulta la felicidad y orgullo mas grandes para su familia.
