Noting that the United States and the south Korean authorities are scheming to hurl massive armed forces and ultra-modern military hardware into the war games, the statement said: This shows once again that the U.S. imperialists remain utterly indifferent to peace and the relaxation of tension and continue to cling to a double-faced tactics.

Japan's Moves to Revise Constitution Denounced

Pyongyang, March 21 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson in a commentary Wednesday observes that the "Pacifist Constitution" of Japan is facing its end.
Urging Japan to stop at once its hare-brained push for the revision of the constitution which will lead it to a disaster, the commentary says:
Now a substantial measure is being taken in Japan to bring a war-oriented constitution into being by rewriting the "Pacifist Constitution". That measure is a drive to adopt a bill on the referendum to decide on procedures of the revision of the constitution.
The Liberal Democratic Party of Japan is speeding up preparations to have the bill passed through the House of Representatives before May 3, the constitution day. It intends to get it railroaded through the House of Representatives single-handed, should the opposition parties come out against it.
This indicates that the adoption of a war-oriented constitution is a fait accompli in Japan and it is pushed ahead on a full scale.
There are several reasons for the Japanese reactionaries to throw away the "Pacifist Constitution." But their main purpose is to round off the preparations for the realization of their militaristic ambition for reinvasion.
Nothing can justify the moves of the Japanese reactionaries rushing headlong toward the completion of the preparations for a militarist overseas aggression as evidenced by their drive to discard the "Pacifist Constitution" and make a war-oriented constitution.

End to U.S. Domination Policy and Withdrawal of Its Forces Demanded in S. Korea

This fight was an eruption of the people's wrath at the United States, the back-stage wirepuller of the massacre in Kwangju in 1980, and a signal shot of the anti-U.S. struggle.
Today when 25 years have passed after the fire the U.S. is shipping ultra-modern weapons into this land and relocating its forces under the cloak of "strategic flexibility" while getting overheated in massive aggressive war exercises including "RSOI", the statement noted.
It urged the U.S. to give up its domination policy at once and withdraw from this land with its troops at an early date.

Noting that the KNA was an anti-Japanese underground revolutionary organization largest in scale which was staunch in its independent stand against imperialism at that time, they said its formation was an epochal event in opening a new road of the anti-Japanese national liberation movement in Korea.
Regarding the idea of "Aim High" as the starting point and ideological foundation of the organization and activities of the KNA, Kim Hyong Jik put forward fighting tasks of the KNA and the principles of activities of its members by embodying the idea and thus made it the guideline of the pivotal revolutionary organization in the anti-Japanese national liberation struggle, they said.
The KNA, they noted, widely disseminated the idea of proletarian revolution, a new progressive idea, among the broad masses, closely rallied them around the organization and vigorously pushed on preparations for an armed struggle, thereby laying a firm foundation and building revolutionary forces for leading the anti-Japanese national liberation movement in Korea to a proletarian revolution.
He energetically guided the KNA to play the pivotal and vanguard role in changing the course of the nationalist movement to a proletarian revolution, thus performing immortal revolutionary exploits in the history of the anti-Japanese national liberation movement in Korea, they said.
They pointed out that the KNA performed outstanding feats in paving the way of the new history of national liberation by rapidly expanding the organization through the ideological enlightening and awakening of the masses of all strata and training military cadres of working people's origin while actively undertaking the work of forming new armed units.

Speakers at the meeting disclosed the wars of aggression committed by the U.S. in different parts of the world in recent years and denounced it for invading Iraq and killing Iraqi people in a brutal way.
Noting that the south Korean "government" dispatched troops to the U.S. war of aggression but it resulted in death of innocent young people, they denounced the "government" for its persistent troop dispatch.
The U.S. pays lip service to the improved relations with the DPRK externally but is planning to stage war drills against it internally, they pointed out, urging the U.S. not to mock at the world people with its double-dealing tricks any longer but opt for the road to peace.
Solidarity letters from peace movement organizations in various countries were introduced at the meeting.
