They also accused the GNP of crying out for tightening the sanctions against the north, displeased with the peace process on the Korean Peninsula.
They declared that the solidarity would continue to hold rallies and conduct information services every Wednesday to disclose and denounce the GNP's crimes.

Imperialists' Moves for "Globalization" under Fire

Pyongyang, February 25 (KCNA) --The "globalization" much touted by the imperialists is nothing but a yoke of exploitation and plunder, domination and subjugation as it is intended to put other countries under their tight control and bleed the world people white to the maximum under the spurious signboard of "co-prosperity" and a neo- colonial system whereby to completely obliterate the Juche character and national identity of other countries and nations and turn the relations between the Western multi-national monopolies and the developing countries into those between the slave owner and slaves.
Rodong Sinmun Sunday says this in a signed article.
    It goes on:
The imperialists' moves for "globalization" involve various aspects of social life but it is mainly targeted on finance and trade.
It is one of the main goals of "globalization" to make breaches in different systems of national economies in many countries of the world through "liberalization" in the fields of finance and trade and make them spill over into other fields in a bid to convert the world economy into a uniform market economy.
The reactionary nature of the "globalization" pushed forward by the imperialists is to completely stonewall the appearance of a new fair international economic order, bind the developing countries to a neo- colonial domination order and turn their politics into Western-style one through the "integration" of the world economy.
The imperialists' moves for "globalization" aimed at neo-colonizing the whole world are entailing evermore dangerous consequences.
The above-said "globalization" is driving society into chaos and triggering off evermore acute conflict and contradictions among different ethnic groups, religious sects and political forces. To make matters worse, this is leading to armed conflicts, causing bloodshed and making a great many people displaced.
The "globalization" in the financial field is turning the world into a world in the grip of utter disorder where financial speculators ride roughshod.
The "globalization" pushed forward by the imperialists is only widening the gap between the rich and the poor worldwide.

United States Accused of Letting Loose War Outcries

Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- The U.S. secretary of Defense was lately reported to have cried out for getting the U.S. forces fully prepared to go into actions to cope with what he called someone's "threat." He blustered that the U.S. forces were having a series of war scenarios in the making in anticipation of the Korean war and a crisis to be created in the Pacific region and other contingencies.
The U.S. military opened to the public the "PAC-3" newly deployed in its base in Okinawa, talking about "deterrence" to cope with somebody while the chairman of the U.S. Joint Chiefs of Staff prattled that disputes may break out in the Pacific region, on the Korean Peninsula, in particular.
Rodong Sinmun Saturday in a signed commentary carried in this regard observes:
These bellicose remarks clearly indicate the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK.
The U.S. is escalating its war exercises after deploying reinforcements of its forces on the Korean Peninsula and in its vicinity under the pretext of a "threat" from somebody. These moves only strip bare its aggressive and bellicose nature.
It is foolish of the U.S. to try to gain something through "gunboat diplomacy" towards to the DPRK, as a sign of its show of power. It is the height of folly for the U.S. to attempt to browbeat the DPRK and test its will and strength through arms build-up and deployment of new type missiles.
Dialogue and military threat can never go together. The U.S. would be well advised to choose between dialogue and a military option.
The DPRK is following with a high degree of vigilance the U.S. moves for a new war, concludes the commentary.

It underlined the need to intensify the nationwide struggle against the U.S. on such occasions as the 25th anniversary of the arson on the American Cultural Service in Pusan, the 50th anniversary of the "UN Command", the 40th anniversary of the effectuation of the south Korea-U.S. "Status of Forces Agreement" and the fifth anniversary of the GIs' killing of Hyo Sun and Mi Son and thereby make this year witness the start of the withdrawal of the U.S. troops from south Korea without fail.
It was stressed in the report that Pomminryon should give fresh momentum to the solidarity and alliance among the organizations for the reunification movement with the June 15 All-Korean Committee as an umbrella body and stage a dynamic mass movement for laying bare the true colors of the Grand National Party, a bulwark of conservatism, as an anti-reunification and treacherous party and glorifying the June 15 era through a great alliance against conservatism.
A decision adopted at the meeting said Pomminryon will stir up an atmosphere of national reconciliation and unity and expand and develop the June 15 All-Korean Committee under the uplifted banner of the June 15 joint declaration and hold joint national events and reunification events of Koreans of all social standings on such important occasions as June 15 and August 15 and wage a powerful drive to celebrate June 15 as an anniversary common to the nation.

Letter to Japanese Diet

Pyongyang, February 24 (KCNA) -- The European Regional Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification and the Society for Cooperation among Koreans in Germany sent a joint letter to the Japanese Diet on Feb. 13 denouncing the Japanese government's unwarranted suppression of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) and Koreans in Japan which have become all the more undisguised recently.
It is an unpardonable crime against humanity to brutally abuse the rights of Koreans in Japan and suppress them for the mere reason that they have different nationality and ideology, the letter pointed out, stressing that this act self-exposes before the world that Japan is a country of barbarians.
The letter urged the Diet to properly discharge its duty and exercise its right at a time when the security authorities of Japan which styles itself a "law-governed state" are openly perpetrating the politically-motivated suppression of Chongryon over its just political, social, cultural and educational activities.
If the Japanese Diet, keeping mum about the unethical suppression of Koreans in Japan, continues to connive at and support it, we will solidarize with the world forces of justice and conscience and stage legitimate actions to denounce the Japanese government's suppression in front of the Japanese embassies in various parts of the world, the letter warned.
It expressed conviction that the progressive civil organizations and conscientious figures of Japan would launch actions in solidarity with Chongryon and Koreans in Japan in their struggle.
