Youths and Children Visit Mangyongdae

Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- Youths and children across the country Sunday made a study tour of the old home of President Kim Il Sung in Mangyongdae on the occasion of the Day of the Sun (his birth anniversary), the greatest holiday of the nation. Participating in the study tour were officials of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League and over 4,000 working youths and school youth and children from different parts of the country.
Prior to their study tour they climbed Mansu Hill to lay floral baskets and bouquets before the statue of Kim Il Sung and make a bow in humble reverence. Then they began their study tour of the old home in Mangyongdae, carrying flags bearing the portraits of Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il in the van. They vigorously marched streets of the capital, fluttering flags of the Workers' Party of Korea, the DPRK and the youth league and red flags.
Citizens and school youth and children in the capital inspired them, throwing confetti, waving bouquets and enthusiastically cheering along the streets. Upon their arrival in Mangyongdae, they firstly laid wreaths and bouquets before the graves of Kim Po Hyon and Ri Po Ik, grandparents of Kim Il Sung, and the graves of his parents Kim Hyong Jik and Kang Pan Sok, and paid silent tributes. They visited the Mangyongdae Revolutionary Museum and the old home in time-honored Mangyongdae.
They looked round with deep attention historic relics impregnated with the personal odor of members of the revolutionary family in Mangyongdae and posed for souvenir photographs in front of the old home before inspecting revolutionary relics on Mangyong Hill.

Socialism of Korea Praised

The chairman of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Bangladesh and other speakers pointed out that President Kim Il Sung founded the immortal Juche idea and performed great feats for the Korean revolution and the accomplishment of the human cause of independence.
Kim Jong Il has brilliantly carried forward the revolutionary cause of Kim Il Sung and wisely led the drive of the Korean people to build a great prosperous powerful socialist nation with his Songun politics, they noted, and added: The socialism of Korea is a model of building a new society. It is an important task of the world progressive people to denounce the imperialists for their moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK and support the socialism of Korea.
The chairman of the Group for the Study of Kim Jong Il Juche Idea in Democratic Congo in his speech explained the essence and great vitality of the Juche idea and called upon the peoples of all the countries to firmly arm themselves with the Juche idea and apply it thoroughly in order to defend independence.
The vice-chairman of the National Executive Committee of the Polish Communist Party highly praised Kim Jong Il for smashing the imperialists' ferocious anti-socialist, anti-DPRK moves with his unique Songun politics and demonstrating the invincible might of socialist Korea all over the world.

True Colors of U.S. "Anti-Terrorist War" Disclosed

Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- The "anti-terrorist war" by the U.S. imperialists is one of the basic means to stifle anti-imperialist independent countries and achieve their ambition for world domination, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article. The article goes on:
The U.S. imperialists are now pursuing an appeasement policy toward big countries so as not to aggravate relations with them, but pressurizing and threatening anti-imperialist independent countries with a hard-line policy to overturn them one by one. Here they are attaching foremost importance to the "anti-terrorist war." The "anti-terrorist war" of the U.S. imperialists is the most heinous and mean state terrorism, a war of pillage.
Staging the "anti-terrorist war", the U.S. considers smear propaganda as one of the basic tricks to find a pretext of aggression. To conduct a smear campaign against anti-imperialist independent countries and stir up the world public for it is a prior process of the U.S. "anti-terrorist war" and a prelude to an armed invasion. Along with false propaganda, forcible inspection of sovereign states is a major factor of the U.S. "anti-terrorist war". It is one process of the U.S. "anti-terrorist war" to "prove" its false data through inspection and put international pressure. It is another trick of the U.S. "anti-terrorist war" to rig up pretexts and conditions for the deployment of the armed forces of aggression and the beginning of military action. Psychological warfare is one of major U.S. tricks in the "anti-terrorist war". The U.S. psychological warfare is a heinous trick for the "anti-terrorist war" which paves the way for invasion with words and money instead of arms.
What is noticeable in the U.S. "anti-terrorist war" is to start a war of aggression against one target while conducting a smear campaign against the next target of aggression. Those countries designated by the Bush administration as an "axis of evil" and "dangerous states" are the objects of the "anti-terrorist war". In order to frustrate the U.S. "anti-terrorist war" it is imperative to have a resolute anti-U.S. and anti-war stand and strengthen national defence power. To strengthen national defence power is the foremost way to foil the U.S. "anti-terrorist war" and defend the sovereignty, security and peace of a country.

Struggle for Peace against War Called for

Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- The United States is getting frantic in its moves to ignite a war against the DPRK in order to stem the trend of the Korean nation's history toward reconciliation and reunification and realize its ambition for domination over the whole of Korea. In order to shatter the vicious moves of the U.S. imperialists for a war of aggression and bring about steady progress of the era of independent reunification, all the Koreans at home and abroad should wage a vigorous struggle under the banner of peace against war. Rodong Sinmun Monday says this in a signed article. Their ambition to invade the DPRK and dominate the whole of Korea remains unchanged and is becoming all the more pronounced than ever before, the article notes, and goes on:
The U.S. Korea policy is a hostile policy and a criminal policy for a war of aggression. The U.S. imperialists' moves for a war against the DPRK have always been frantic. Their dangerous and brigandish nature has reached the worst phase since Bush came to power. Since the outset of office his bellicose group has systematically escalated its moves against the DPRK, extremely antagonizing it and listing it as a target of preemptive nuclear attack. The U.S is now persisting in its campaign to do harm to the DPRK and pressurize it while barring the six-party talks from resuming. This is, in fact, aimed at inventing a pretext to provoke a war against the DPRK. To struggle against the outside forces' moves for aggression and war under the banner of peace against war is a sacred duty of the Korean nation to achieve the independent national reunification.
An atmosphere of peace is a prerequisite to independent national reunification. Dialogue and war exercises can never go together. If ceaseless joint military exercises with foreign forces are allowed to go on in south Korea against fellow countrymen as now, it is impossible to hold north-south dialogue nor is it possible to expect any desired results from the talks to be held by the north and the south in an atmosphere of mutual distrust and confrontation.
It is the habitual method of the U.S. imperialists to chill the ardent desire of the Korean nation for reunification and obstruct the cause of national reunification through the moves for a war against the DPRK. By escalating such provocative war maneuvers on the Korean Peninsula in particular, they seek to deter the north-south relations from favorably improving and keep the movement for national reunification from making progress.
The Korean nation should never allow them to go on with their reckless war exercises to invade the DPRK.

Japan's Ambition to Grab Tok Islet Denounced

Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- The south Korean political circle is rejecting the Japanese government's ambition to grab Tok Islet, according to radio reports from south Korea. Ruling and opposition parties including the Uri Party charged that the action taken by the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology to allow the description of Tok Islet as part of the Japanese territory in history and geography textbooks for high school students is a serious diplomatic provocation to the Koreans and an encroachment upon their spirit.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Trade of south Korea in a statement demanded the Japanese government retract its assertion at once, dismissing it unreasonable and intolerable. It declared that south Korea would deal with the issue of Tok Islet in strong terms from the stand of defending the territory.
The ministry clarified its stand that the Japanese government's behavior is unacceptable, telling the Japanese ambassador in Seoul that the description of Tok Islet in high school textbooks in Japan is a wanton violation of the sovereignty of Korea. The south Korean ambassador to Japan also lodged a protest with the Japanese Foreign Ministry against this matter on March 31.

New Fuel-Saving Additive Developed

Pyongyang, April 3 (KCNA) -- The Onchon County Farm Machine Station in South Phyongan Province of the DPRK has developed a new kind of fuel-saving additive. When the additive is mixed with gasoline or diesel, it increases combustion efficiency of rolling stocks and engines, thus economizing 30-35 percent of fuel and extending serviceable life of engines by more than 30 percent as against before using the additive. 200 grams are enough for one ton of fuel.
Its production method is very simple. It, therefore, can be made right before using. As its density remains unchanged, it can be kept for a long time. It is made with raw materials rich in the country and chemicals which are common to be used in local industrial factories.
