Over the past years the DPRK has exerted all possible efforts to preserve the idea and principle of the movement and its purity from every obstruction of the imperialists and ensure its unity and development.
Now the NAM is faced with important tasks to strengthen solidarity and cooperation among its member countries, reject any attempts to degrade its fundamental principle and political nature, and increase its action capability as a political force speaking for the South in the UN and other international arenas.
The DPRK, which regards it as an iron principle of its foreign policy to invariably preserve the basic principle and idea of the NAM, will as ever fulfill its responsibility and duty for the strengthening and development of the movement for global independence and the NAM, the article concludes.

Far-infrared Stupe Treatment Device

Pyongyang, August 25 (KCNA) -- Bath-House No. 1, Children's Health Complex attached to the Mangyongdae Schoolchildren's Palace and other units in Pyongyang are crowded with many people for their service of far-infrared high temperature sauna. Among them are hypertensives and other patients who are not allowed to take sauna. An employee of Bath-House No. 1 told KCNA that the far-infrared high temperature sauna gives medical treatment to the bathers without giving any physical burden to them, unlike the convection sauna causing skin pricking and blood pressure rise and the far-infrared low temperature sauna. Its secret lies in the far-infrared radiation generator, he said.
The radiation generator won the invention priority in December 2003 and the DPRK invention patent right in August 2004.
The surface temperature of the generator is 300 degrees C. It, which generates little near-infrared rays, is a means for irradiating far-infrared rays of wavelengths best matchable to human body with high directiveness and emissivity. The far-infrared rays emitted from the generator are absorbed completely in the skin to enlarge capillary vessels to the utmost in a moment and heighten perspiration speed. In particular, it gives stupe treatment while affecting the head a little. Its concentrated application to sick region makes it possible to instantly stop neuralgia, arthritis and stomach cramps. It is also good for digestive system disorders, women's diseases and circulatory diseases.
Sauna is possible even in open rooms with this generator. It is applicable for various purposes including medical treatment, heating and drying.
The generator, developed by researcher Ri Yong Nam, was appreciated at the international patent technology show held in Dalian, China, from August 18 to 20. Far-infrared radiation generators of various uses are being mass-produced by the Far-Infrared Technology Institute in Pyongyang.
