Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- Leader Kim Jong Il's famous work "The Juche Philosophy Is an Original Revolutionary Philosophy" was brought out in booklet by the Hekadaha Publishing and Printing Company of Indonesia on Feb. 3. It also elucidated principled issues arising in the study and dissemination of the philosophy.

The man-centered Juche philosophy was set out by President Kim Il Sung and has been developed and enriched thanks to HE Kim Jong Il's energetic ideological and theoretical activities.

Upholding Songun Politics Called for

Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- President Kim Il Sung was a peerless illustrious commander who established the glorious tradition of Songun revolution while leading the revolutionary struggle and construction and laid the precious foundation of the Songun politics of the Workers' Party of Korea, says Rodong Sinmun Tuesday in a signed article. The President was an outstanding statesman who reliably built up the internal force of the revolution with the revolutionary army as its core and thus laid the foundation of the WPK's Songun politics.
He was a peerless brilliant commander who developed and strengthened the Korean People's Army into the army of the party and provided the military guarantee for Songun politics.
The wise guidance given by the invincible and iron-willed commander serves as the source of the invincibility and the might of the KPA.
It holds an important place in his exploits in the building of the army that he laid the solid material and technical foundation of our revolutionary armed forces. He energetically led the work to increase the combat capability of our revolutionary ranks in military and technical terms, regarding arms as one of the two component parts of the revolutionary armed forces together with man, the soldier masses.
The Korean revolution has greeted a historic turning phase in building a great prosperous powerful socialist nation under the Songun leadership of Kim Jong Il.
It is the greatest exploit of Kim Il Sung that he provided a steady continuity to the Songun revolutionary leadership.
It is thanks to Kim Jong Il's energetic Songun revolutionary leadership that the KPA is now displaying its might as the powerful core unit and driving force in accomplishing the revolutionary cause of Juche.
The might of the Songun politics precisely means that of the KPA. It is Kim Jong Il's unshakable will to strengthen the KPA through endless Songun revolutionary leadership to defend the country and the revolution and dynamically step up the revolutionary cause of Juche started by Kim Il Sung.
The army and people of the DPRK will as always uphold Kim Jong Il's Songun politics with loyalty and thus let the red flag of the Songun revolution associated with the whole life of the President fly ever higher over this land.

Destruction of Korean Historical Remains by U.S. Troops Denounced

Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- It is said that the acreage of historical cultural remains occupied by the U.S. military bases in south Korea exceeds123, 000 phyong. Various military facilities such as powder dumps have been built at different sites of historical cultural remains across south Korea. To cite an example, an anti-aircraft artillery encampment covering 20,600 phyong was built in the area of the Changdok Palace, which has been recorded as a world's cultural monument by UNESCO. In this regard, a spokesman for the Bureau for Direction of Cultural Preservation of the DPRK issued a statement on Feb. 7.
    The statement says:
It is an intolerable insult to the Korean nation that even graves of forefathers are trampled underfoot as military bases as if it were not enough that precious historical cultural relics have been looted by foreign aggression forces in south Korea for over 100 years.
The U. S. imperialists have destroyed and took away whatever valuable cultural wealth that came to hand, beginning with the invasion of the USS "General Sherman" and robbery of the grave of Prince Namyon. Ever since they set foot in south Korea, they have taken away at least 38,100 pieces of historical cultural relics including works of art worth being national treasures, and the Silla gold crown, Koryo celadon and white porcelain of the Ri Dynasty. The Korean people cannot remain an onlooker at the total disappearance of historical cultural relics in south Korea where the nation's dignity and sovereignty have passed from the scene.
The realities show that national sovereignty, history and culture can be restored only when the U.S. forces and their bases, the root cause of all the misfortunes and disasters of the south Korean people, are withdrawn.

Japanese Chief Executive's Anti-DPRK Remarks under Fire

Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- The chief executive of Japan in his policy speech at the recent session of the House of Representatives clarified the stance that Japan would settle the abduction issue or the nuclear and missile issues through "dialogue" and "pressure". Japan is still considering economic sanctions against the DPRK as an option for a solution to the abduction issue, he added. In this regard, Minju Joson today says in a signed commentary: Though the abduction issue had already been settled between the DPRK and Japan, the right-wing conservatives of Japan are still raising a hue and cry over it, kicking up a frantic racket of confrontation with the DPRK. Lurking behind this row is a sinister aim to paint an assailant as a victim in a bid to evade their responsibility for the past crimes at any cost.
During the whole period of their colonial rule over Korea, the Japanese imperialists forcibly drafted 8.4 million Koreans and hurled them into war shambles and slave labor sites. They left over one million of them dead and forced 200,000 women into sexual slavery for the imperial Japanese army.
All these crimes committed by the Japanese imperialists against the Korean people for over 40 years of their colonial rule were the most hideous human rights abuses in history.
In case the abduction issue no longer remains a problem in the relations between the DPRK and Japan, for the latter to redeem its past crimes will be the only outstanding issue between them.
Aware of this, the Japanese reactionaries are kicking up such a madcap anti-DPRK racket in a bid to attain two aims: one is to evade the responsibility for the settlement of the past by insisting that the abduction issue has not yet been solved and the other is to build up a revanchist public opinion under the pretext of "people's sentiment" so as to create a social atmosphere favorable for their comeback to Korea.
The Japanese reactionaries are persistently raising a hue and cry over the abduction issue hardly comparable with the monstrous crimes committed by Japan against the Korean nation in the past. This frantic ruckus of confrontation with the DPRK only triggers off bitterer hatred of its army and people toward Japan.
Japan had better behave itself, properly understanding their steadfast will to force it to pay for all the crimes perpetrated by the Japanese imperialists in the past.

Abe's Reckless Remarks Flailed

Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- Abe, acting secretary general of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan, in a TV appearance a few days ago let loose a string of fantastic trash, grumbling that north Korea has not taken a sincere attitude and has scrapped the Japan-Korea Pyongyang Declaration and even making the free conjecture that there would be possibility for north Korea to change its policy if Japan introduces economic sanctions. Commenting on this, a Rodong Sinmun analyst Tuesday says:
The balderdash of Abe, a bigwig of the Japanese ultra-right conservatives, is a reversed logic and a political provocation against the DPRK. Lurking behind it is his sinister intention to scuttle the DPRK-Japan Pyongyang Declaration at any cost by finding fault with the DPRK and, in case the declaration is torn up in actuality, shift the blame on to it and justify the intensified anti-DPRK hostile policy involving economic sanctions
It is none other than the Japanese reactionaries who are actually hindering the implementation of the declaration and trying to reduce it to a dead letter.
In the declaration they committed themselves to settle Japan's past crimes and respect the international law and refrain from threatening the other's security. However, they have gone back on their promise and chosen to revoke it.
They have now made full preparations for economic sanctions against the DPRK. Nevertheless, Abe branded the DPRK as an "offender". This is a cunning and malicious act. We cannot help regarding him as a coldhearted fellow and a political epileptic.
In Japan there are not a small number of political charlatans and philistines seeing eye to eye with Abe. They are ultra-right conservatives.
Urged by nasty political ambitions, they have tenaciously clung to the abduction issue which had already been fully solved and, as if it were not enough, are now kicking up quite a row over the "issue of false remains," their own brainchild. Banking on "people's sentiments", they are kicking and screaming to attain their heinous political purpose, labeling the DPRK as the "assailant" and Japan as the "victim" by reversing black and white. They are even intending to codify their hostile policy toward the DPRK by faking up a "north Korean human rights act" and launch into an offensive operation for the "collapse" and "overthrow" of the system of the DPRK.
With disgust and hatred for the frenzy of the Japanese ultra-right conservative forces against it, the DPRK will strictly keep tabs on their criminal acts. They will have to pay dearly for them sooner or later.

Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- The Democratic People's Republic of Korea is in festive attire on the eve of the lunar New Year's Day. Streets and buildings of Pyongyang are festooned with electric boards and colorful decorations.
Seen in streets are national flags and red banners fluttering on flag poles. Set up in streets are such streamers as "New Year's Greetings to the Great Leader Comrade Kim Jong Il. Juche 94" and "A Happy New Year! 2005".

U.S. Urged to Compensate to Maehyang-ri Inhabitants

Pyongyang, February 8 (KCNA) -- The Seoul Central District Court of south Korea recently ruled that the south Korean authorities shall pay compensation to the victims in Maehyang-ri upon handling a lawsuit filed by its inhabitants who suffered from bombing exercises of U.S. forces planes. Papers here Tuesday say in signed commentaries in this regard:
This is an inevitable product of the master-servant relationship between the U.S. and south Korea. The U.S. forces' act of evading compensation for their crimes is a totally unwarranted brigandish act as it is the most despicable and shameless arbitrary practice of the occupation forces who disregard and look down upon the south Koreans. Rodong Sinmun observes:
It is clear to everybody that it is none other than the U.S. imperialist aggressor troops who have inflicted huge damage upon the Maehyang-ri inhabitants for the past scores of years. However, the U.S. forces insisted that they are not to blame for the crimes, a sheer far-fetched assertion.
The U.S. forces have staged war exercises in Maehyang-ri for scores of years to attain its purpose of invading the north, bringing all sorts of disasters and sufferings to its population. Yet, they refuse to pay compensation, instead of making apologies, absurdly asserting that they are not responsible for the crimes. Such shameless acts can be perpetrated only by the American gangsters who consider it as their means of existence to invade, dominate and plunder other nations.
Minju Joson demands the U.S. opt to own responsibility for the damage done to the inhabitants in Maehyang-ri, though belatedly, and make apology and compensation to the Korean nation for all the crimes it committed in Korea for the past 60 years and withdraw from south Korea at the earliest possible date.
