U.S. Nuclear War Games under Fire

Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- The South Headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification (Pomminryon) on November 10 reportedly issued a commentary titled "We denounce the U.S. drill of A-bomb dropping on the Korean Peninsula for a nuclear preemptive attack on the north". Recalling that the U.S. nuclear war exercises were staged after the publication of the DPRK-U.S. Agreed Framework in 1994, the commentary says this throws a revealing light on the true colors of the U.S. which has so far taken a hypocritical stand towards the north.
    It continues:
As long as the U.S. forces seeking a nuclear war against the Korean nation stay in south Korea, the Korean Peninsula can not be freed from the danger of a war even a moment.
Nevertheless, the south Korean authorities are loud-mouthed about cooperation with the U.S. This is as good as intending to leave the destiny of the Korean nation to the tender mercy of the U.S. war hawks and support the nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula.
The only way of defending the destiny of the Korean nation lies in breaking up the south Korea-U.S. "alliance" and forcing the U.S. troops out of south Korea at an early date by the united strength of the Korean nation.

Repeal of NSL Urged by South Korean Buddhists

Then a press release signed by 2,296 Buddhists was read out at the press conference.
Meanwhile, members of the Teachers' Union of south Korea held a candlelight event for the abolition of the NSL near the "National Assembly" building on Nov. 1

U.S. Anti-DPRK Moves under Fire in UK

Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- The British Branch of the Association for Friendship with the Korean People made up of public figures in various countries, the British Association for the Study of Songun Policy, the British Group for the Study of the Juche Idea and the British Society for Friendship with the DPRK issued a joint statement on Nov. 8 denouncing the U.S. imperialists' vicious moves against the DPRK. Accusing the U.S. of becoming desperate in its moves against the DPRK as evidenced by its frantic arms build-up to invade the DPRK and its adoption of the "North Korean Human Rights Act," the statement branded this behavior of the Bush administration as an action to attack the DPRK, a sacred homeland of Juche.
It must not go unnoticed that the U.S. imperialists have deployed Aegis destroyers and a squadron of ultra-modern fighter-bombers in south Korea and its vicinity, the statement noted, stressing that the U.S. moves are pushing the situation on the Korean Peninsula to the brink of war and this is a grave challenge to the peace of Asia and the rest of the world and the movement for the reunification of Korea.
It expressed full support to the DPRK in its struggle against the U.S. imperialists' dangerous moves.

U.S. Nuclear War Scenario Brought to Light

Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun Monday in a signed commentary accuses the U.S. imperialists of hatching a dangerous plot to impose a nuclear holocaust upon the Korean nation. It says:
According to MBC of south Korea quoting a report of Kyodo, Japan, the U.S. staged even sham warhead dropping exercises after working out an extremely dangerous nuclear war scenario calling for the use of 30 nukes in case of "emergency" on the Korean Peninsula.
This clearly proves the U.S. intention to ignite a nuclear war on the peninsula.
In its "report on examining the nuclear posture" which has already been disclosed the U.S. considers the DPRK as a main target of its nuclear attack. But it cannot but be a serious development which can never be overlooked that the U.S. staged nuclear warhead dropping drills not only in its mainland but in its military base in south Korea in top secrecy in a premeditated manner after deciding even on the number of the nukes to be used against the DPRK.
Over 1,000 nuclear weapons of different types the U.S. has kept in south Korea for decades has been a main factor of threatening the peace and security on the Korean Peninsula and blocking the independent reunification of the country.
South Korea has accelerated its moves for nuclear weaponization for scores of years, backed by the U.S. The U.S. and the south Korean authorities have worked hard to cover up their truth about the case with a whole string of sophism that it is no more than "experiments of individual scientists" and "they have no nuclear development program." This is as foolish an act as trying to hide a gimlet in the bulging bag. It is as clear as noonday that if south Korea has access to nuclear weapons, they will be used to kill fellow countrymen and reduce their country to debris.
The recently disclosed fact goes to clearly prove that the U.S. loudmouthed "peaceful settlement" of the nuclear issue between the DPRK and the U.S. and "six-party talks" are nothing but hypocrisy and it, in actuality, seeks only a nuclear war on the Korean Peninsula.
The commentary calls on all the Koreans in the north and the south to turn out in a nationwide struggle to foil the U.S. reckless moves for a nuclear war against the north.

Agreement on Transfer of U.S. Milit. Base in Ryongsan Strongly Rejected in S. Korea

Pyongyang, November 15 (KCNA) -- Representatives of organizations of various circles including the Phaengsong-up Committee of Measures against the Expansion of the U.S. Military Bases, the People for Achieving Peace and Reunification and the Reunification Solidarity in south Korea reportedly held a press conference in front of the building of the "National Assembly" in Seoul on Nov. 10 at which they made public a 1,000-man declaration of civic and public organizations opposing the "National Assembly's" ratification of the humiliating agreement on the transfer of the U.S. military base in Ryongsan and the expansion of the U.S. military base in Phyongthaek. The declaration said: We can never overlook the dangerous intention lurking behind the U.S. moves for the relocation of its forces as evidenced by its unilateral and brigandish negotiations for the transfer of the U.S. military base, the unequal and illegal nature of the agreement on the negotiations.
We categorically oppose and denounce the agreement calling on the south Korean side to offer the U.S. facilities and land needed for its implementation of its aggressive strategy for supremacy at its expenses.
The declaration demanded the "government" and the "National Assembly" halt the sycophantic, treacherous and humiliating negotiations, though belatedly, and refuse to approve and ratify the agreement.
At the end of the press conference, the participants conveyed the texts of the declaration to representatives of the ruling and opposition parties.

EE.UU.
