Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) -- The solidarity for implementing the south-north joint declaration in south Korea reportedly held an anti-Ri Hoe Chang cultural festival on a street in front of Hongik University on July 17. The festival was held in two parts.
In the first part, the host declared a public "search" for Ri Hoe Chang, disclosing his irregularities such as palatial mansion scandal.
Then, an art troupe of the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils staged a play dealing with the "Minjok Ilbo" case, one of the repressive cases handled by Ri when he was active as a prosecutor.
The first part closed by screening his pro-U.S. sycophantic remarks.
In the second part such popular songs as ridiculing Ri and the United States were sung or played to win acclaim of the audience.

U.S. urged to compensate for its crimes

Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) -- The Korean nation will certainly force the U.S. imperialists to pay for their mass-killings and other crimes against humanity generation after generation. Rodong Sinmun today says this, commenting on the recently disclosed atrocities perpetrated by the U.S. in Korea. its signed commentary observes: The U.S. imperialists infiltrated armed hooligans into the northern half of Korea to perpetrate destruction, murder and kidnapping and gather information. The South Korean military also dispatched armed groups to the north to perpetrate criminal acts.
New facts about the U.S. imperialists' use of bio-weapons to kill Korean people during the last Korean War were also brought to daylight.
All these facts clearly prove that they are aggressors, murderers, criminals and most vicious enemy common to humankind.
The Korean people will never forget the monstrous mass-killings committed by the U.S. imperialists to exterminate the Korean nation.
With nothing can they cover up the truth about these hideous crimes or evade responsibility for them.
The U.S. should make an honest admission and repentance of murder, plunder and destruction and other crimes it committed against the Korean people, though belatedly, and properly compensate for them.

Japan's nuclear weaponization under fire

Pyongyang, July 21 (KCNA) -- Japan's shipment of spent nuclear fuel for its reprocessing abroad under the pretext of "energy generation" is chiefly aimed to step up nuclear weaponization, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary. Recalling that Japan has stockpiled plutonium huge enough to produce 4,000 nuclear weapons, the commentary observes that Japan's continued shipment of nuclear substance, while creating impression that it is for "energy generation", is nothing but a tricky artifice to cover up its black-hearted intention.
    The commentary continues:
Japan is set to manufacture nuclear weapons any moment and launch overseas aggression.
Its moves to go nuclear are becoming increasingly dangerous as the Japanese reactionaries have established a perfect system for a war of aggression by doing away with nearly all the institutional and legal mechanisms which stand in the way of their overseas military operations.
There is real nuclear threat from Japan.
Japan has become a dangerous hotbed of a nuclear war which may bring a nuclear holocaust to humankind.
The world should remain highly vigilant against Japan's moves to stockpile nuclear substance and bring Japan to justice.
