Second all-people rally held in S. Korea

Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- The second all-people rally was reportedly held in front of the base of the U.S. second division in Uijongbu on June 29 to probe the truth behind the murder of Sin Hyo Sun and Sim Mi Son, middle-school girls, killed by the U.S. armored car and punish those responsible for it. At the rally Han Sang Ryol, permanent representative of the "reunification solidarity", said: why we should see even the death of the two schoolgirls shortly after we saw bitter tears of Jon Tong Rok."
He called for achieving national independence, saying that the basic way of saving the Korean nation from a fatal disease caused by the GIS is for the Koreans to become an independent nation.
The "all-people measure committee of the murder of Sin Hyo Sun and Sim Mi Son, middle-school girls killed by U.S. armored car" in a resolution demanded the withdrawal of the U.S. troops from South Korea, the dismantlement of their bases there, an official apology of U.S. President Bush and the punishment of those responsible for it.

GIS' inhumane acts disclosed

Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- Two reporters of the South Korean internet radio "Voice of People" reportedly exposed GIS' atrocities. The reporters were walked away and assaulted by GIS when they were covering news on June 26. A reporter Han Yu Jin disclosed that the GIS committed such brutality as threatening to break his arms and legs and throttle him when he was in custody.
When he was detained, the GIS kept his hands in chains and turned down even his request to go to a toilet, he noted.
Another reporter Ri Jong Mi disclosed that when she was photographing the scene after entering the U.S. military base through an open space of the wire entanglements, armed GIS and a military dog suddenly pounced upon her to assault her before binding her hands and taking her away to a house of custody.
The GIS unhesitatingly let loose a spate of vituperation and resorted to such human rights abuses as toppling down her when she protested against their obstruction to photographing and forced her to raise to have a picture taken, she charged, adding she will demand a reparation for this.

High vigilance against Japan's moves for overseas aggression called for

Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- The Japanese chief executive recently asserted that "Japan should contribute to security in Asia by dispatching 'self-defense forces' overseas." In this regard Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary observes: By dispatching the SDF overseas the Japanese reactionaries seek nothing but aggression and war.
The "Asian security" touted by the Japanese ruling quarters is nothing but a signboard to check the independent progress of those countries in the Asian region and put them under the imperialist ruling system by force of arms.
The Japanese reactionaries have set the stage for military actions by dispatching the SDF to the combat theater. They are poised to send their troops to dispute-torn areas in a bid to act an "international gendarme" and realise their ambition for overseas expansion by military means.
The Japanese chief executive was reported to have asserted that the SDF may be dispatched overseas but "they should refrain from using force."
Dismissing this as sheer sophism, the commentary goes on:
The Japanese government took a measure of drastically easing the restrictions on the use of arms by Japan's forces overseas so that they may use all types of weapons. Before the SDF was limited to such non-combatant activities as logistic support and medical service. But now that these restrictions have been lifted, the SDF is allowed to participate in combat operations like forces of other countries.
The Japanese reactionaries' ambition for overseas aggression has not changed at all, the commentary notes, calling on the Asian and other people of the world to remain highly vigilant against the Japanese reactionaries' policy of overseas expansion and frustrate it.

GIS' fascist outrage under fire

Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialist aggression troops in South Korea on June 26 clubbed the South Korean reporters when covering a demonstration staged by people in protest against the GIS' brutal killing of two schoolgirls in front of the U.S. military base in Uijongbu, Kyonggi Province, and walked them away in chains to their base. In this regard Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary says:
The U.S. imperialist aggression troops committed fascist outrage against even reporters covering the people's protest against the murder, far from apologizing and compensating for the crime.
This proves that they are the chieftain of aggression, murder, terrorism and suppression.
Local people lose their life not infrequently and even news coverage becomes the target of clubbing owing to the brutality of the aggression troops. this is attributable to the master-and-servant relations between the U.S. and South Korea and the U.S. chauvinist view on the South Korean people.
The reality goes to clearly prove that as long as the U.S. imperialist aggression troops, not "protector," but aggressor and killer and the root cause of all the disasters, are stationed in South Korea its people cannot escape bloodshed and it is impossible to have the freedom of the press guaranteed and achieve peace and reunification of the country.
The South Korean people should turn out in the struggle to put an end to the U.S imperialists' military presence and defend the national dignity and regain the independent and democratic right to life.

Wooden mosaic

Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- The wooden mosaic "The Great Leader Comrade Kim Il Sung Standing Together With Comrade Kim Chaek" displayed at the gift exhibition of the ministry of the People's Armed Forces draws particular attention of visitors. The mosaic is based on a photo President Kim Il Sung had taken with Kim Chaek, an anti-Japanese revolutionary fighter, after the liberation of the country.
The photo that the president had kept in his safe for decades fully reflects his revolutionary history that began with comradeship and emerged victorious thanks to his comradeship.
The work represents the firm determination of the soldiers of the Korean People's Army to live and fight as true comrades to be always remembered by leader Kim Jong Il like Kim Chaek who remained intensely loyal to the president.

Unique movement conducted during Korean War

Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- The aircraft-hunting team movement was vigorously conducted by soldiers of the Korean People's Army during the Fatherland Liberation War (1950-1953). President Kim Il Sung initiated this unique movement basing himself on a profound analysis of the experience gained in anti-aircraft battles in the period of the anti-japanese armed struggle and in modern wars.
In December, Juche 39 (1950) he issued the order of the supreme commander of the Korean People's Army "on organizing aircraft-hunting teams".
In hearty response to his order, combatants of the KPA shot down enemy planes with rifles, light and heavy machine guns, and anti-tank guns wherever they went.
They manufactured revolving frames and installed on them several light machine guns and anti-tank guns to fire them simultaneously, thus increasing the fire power of small arms in hunting aircraft and containing low-altitude flights of enemy planes.
The movement resulted in downing more than 1,200 enemy planes in the year of 1952 alone.
Over 70 members of the aircraft-hunting teams became heroes of the DPRK in the same year.
Machine gunner Kim Ki U shot down 11 enemy planes in a little over a month to emerge twice hero of the republic.
Thousands of enemy planes were shot down by the members of the teams in the entire period of the war.

U.S. scenario for preemptive nuclear attack blasted

Pyongyang, July 3 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson today in a signed commentary accuses the U.S. of putting increased spurs to the establishment of the Missile Defense System (MD). The commentary says:
Originally, the U.S. developed and stockpiled nukes as means of threat and deterrence against other countries.
But the emergence of other nuclear powers prevented the u.s. from having a monopoly of nukes. it could not achieve its initial purpose of threatening other countries with nukes as it pleased, as it was bound to the ABM treaty.
Very displeased with this situation, the u.s. has opted for shaping a policy aimed to block the emergence of the new military power and make a free use of nukes in a bid to eliminate everything that restricts its unilateral actions.
According to the recently disclosed U.S. "report on the review of its nuclear posture" and "National Security Strategy," the U.S. seeks to arm its forces with new type small nukes and mount preemptive nuclear attacks on any country standing against the U.S. interests and its strategy of dominating the world.
But this strategic attempt can be realized only when it has a shield to counter the retaliatory strike.
It is on the basis of such calculation that the U.S. is putting spurs to the establishment of the MD, while setting out a new nuclear policy and the national security strategy.
