U.S. new "National Security Strategy" under fire

Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today in a signed article lashes at the U.S. warmongers for mapping out a new "National Security Strategy," the keynote of which is to "mount preemptive attacks on the hostile states". It says:
This goes to prove that the bush trigger-happy group has reached the reckless phase of putting into practice the military hard-line which it has advocated since the outset of its seizure of power to stifle the anti-imperialist independent countries.
The new strategy is, in essence, aimed to reexamine and newly formulate the "strategy of blockade" and the "strategy of deterrence" in the era of the cold war.
The U.S. warmongers have made the preemptive attack a main thrust of their "National Security Strategy" and are keen to extend its sphere to the anti-imperialist independent countries.
Their talk about "biological or chemical and nuclear attacks" from someone and "threat of terrorism" is nothing but a pretext to stifle those countries by force of arms.
The U.S. imperialists' moves to work out the new strategy are little short of a declaration of showdown in different countries and regions of the world and an extremely dangerous intention to lead the international situation to a point of explosion as it presupposes the ignition of a war of aggression.
The outbreak of a new war is not a problem to be raised in future but is becoming a hard fact today.
The U.S. imperialists' aggressive nature remains unchanged.

Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- Political parties and organizations of different countries supported Korea's reunification in their statements on the occasion of the 2nd anniversary of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration.     The Tunisia-Korea Friendship Association said that the reunification of Korea is sure to be achieved thanks to the strong desire of all the Koreans in the north and the south and overseas for the country's reunification and the positive support of the world's peace-loving people despite the desperate efforts on the part of the separatists.
The Tanzania-DPRK Friendship Association and the Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of Juche Idea Study Groups in a joint statement demanded the U.S. stop hamstringing the implementation of the joint declaration and throwing wet blanket on the unity between the north and the south of Korea, take an honest option for the improvement of the DPRK-U.S. relations and withdraw its troops from South Korea.
The Benin-Korea Amicable Association "Long live Kim Jong Il, supreme leader" and the National Committee for the Study of the Juche Idea of Benin in a joint statement called upon the people in the world who love justice and peace to fully support the implementation of the June 15 joint declaration.

KCNA assails Japan's move for nuclear weaponization

Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- Asahi Shimbun on June 17 disclosed the fact that a clandestine research into the possibility of nuclear weaponization has long been underway in Japan. Japan reportedly made a basic study of the nuclear policy between 1967 and 1970 and has stepped up the research into the nuclear weaponization since 1995.
This cannot but be a very serious issue as the disclosure suggests that Japan, the first victim of nuclear disaster in history, has long pushed forward a plan for nuclear weaponization despite the public opposition at home and abroad.
Since its defeat in the second world war, Japan has so far painted itself as a "peace state" and advocated "exclusive defence" at home and abroad. Japan has asserted a ban on nuclear tests, after identifying the "three non-nuclear principles" with the basic policy of its government.
The recently disclosed fact, therefore, proves that the "three non-nuclear principles" have been used by the Japanese government as a fig-leaf to fool the anti-war, anti-nuke opinion since the very beginning.
It is self-evident that a "peace state," which adopted "exclusive defence" as its national policy, does not require any long-term research into nukes.
One can never overlook the reckless remarks made by politicians and senior government officials of Japan recently calling for access to nukes. They claimed "it is possible to have nukes if they are for exclusive defence," "it does not pose any problem for Japan to possess a-bombs, if they are small ones" and "Japan is capable of making thousands of nuclear warheads if it has a will".
These outcries fully reflect the position and policy of the government to go ahead with moves for nuclear weaponization.
What it seeks is to emerge a nuclear weapons state from its former status of victim of nuclear attack and become a military power and start a nuclear war.
What is more serious is that these moves of the Japanese reactionaries have become more undisguised in step with the U.S. escalated moves to update nukes.
The hawkish forces of the U.S. administration recently decided to build a new plant producing plutonium fuses for nuclear warheads and conducted a sub-critical nuclear test despite the opposition of the international community.
These moves of the U.S. bellicose forces and the Japanese reactionaries go to prove that both U.S. strategic offensive weapon reduction program and Japan's "three non-nuclear principles" are nothing but window dressing to cover up the U.S. intention to get a nuclear edge and Japan's aim to go nuclear and a pretext to justify their preparations for a nuclear war.
They are real nuclear war criminals. what they seek in persistently clamouring about the DPRK's non-existent "nuclear issue" has become as clear as noonday.
They are well advised to stop at once their base anti-DPRK campaign over "nuclear issue" and their reckless moves for a nuclear war which would bring horrible disasters to humankind.

Provocation of Korean War

Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialist aggressors ignited the Korean War on June 25 52 years ago. The U.S. imperialists had thrust their aggressive claws into Korea from the middle of the 19th century. They made frantic preparations for a war against the northern half of Korea from the first days of their occupation of South Korea in September 1945 under the mask of "liberator".
They framed up the "defense headquarters" that year and systematically armed the "ROK" armed forces with u.s. equipment, launching armed provocations along the 38th parallel.
"AL-3", a plan for the invasion of the northern half of Korea, was rounded off in the middle of 1949.
Macarthur called Syngman Rhee to Tokyo in February 1950 and gave him instructions to start a war in June, informing him that the "ROK" army will be put under the U.S. far eastern headquarters in an emergency.
This is an "11-point instruction" recorded in history.
On June 17 Dulles flew into South Korea as a special envoy of the U.S. President to inspect the area of the 38th parallel and set June 25 as the day of starting northward invasion.
He told Rhee to start an attack, while propagandizing as if North Korea had invaded first so that the U.S. army, navy and air force could take part in the war under the name of the "UN forces" two weeks later.
Dulles had a secret conference with the commander of the U.S. far eastern headquarters, the secretary of defense and the chairman of the joint chiefs of staff in Tokyo on June 22 before giving "combat order no. 29" to Syngman Rhee.
On this order, the "ROK" army launched an over-all armed invasion of the northern half of Korea at 5 a.m. on June 25.
All facts clearly show the true colors of the U.S. imperialists who unleashed the Korean War.

Her forte is side kick after a 180o turn and side kick and fist punch after jumping and turning round.
She is regarded as a model in sparring as her fighting method is characterized by hot attack, perfect defence and diverse skill with which to defeat any rival. She has been active as an instructor of the Taekwon-do team since Juche 88 (1999).

Acrobatics and gymnastics performed by teenagers

Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- Audiences are deeply impressed by acrobatic and gymnastic movements presented by teenage schoolchildren during the mass gymnastic and artistic performance "Arirang" now underway in Pyongyang. They are simply marveled to see high five-tier human towers built here and there in the spacious field of the stadium on which children skillfully perform such awe-inspiring acrobatic and gymnastic feats as each standing with his head over his heels or each balancing with one of his hands on the head of the boy below.
It is thanks to the profound care of the socialist system that they are given systematic education according to their aptitude so they may grow up to be men and women of talent.
The fascinating scenes of flowers, singing and dancing presented by school children of the DPRK at the May Day Stadium are possible only under the loving care of the bright sun of this land.

Anti-U.S. meetings held

Pyongyang, June 24 (KCNA) -- Indignation meetings of unionists across the country and young people and students in Pyongyang were held at Pamnamu-gol, Wonam-ri, Sinchon county, South Hwanghae Province, and at the open-air theatre in youth park in Pyongyang on June 23 on the occasion of "June 25, day of struggle against the U.S. imperialists." Ryom Sun Gil, chairman of the central committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, and Kim Kyong Ho, first secretary of the central committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, made a speech and a report which were followed by speeches.
They said that the u.s. imperialists ignited a war on June 25, Juche 39 (1950) and cruelly killed more than 35,000 citizens, or a quarter of the population in Sinchon county of the northern half of Korea and over 1.1 million people in South Korea including Rogun-ri, Yongdong county, North Chungchong Province.
Referring to the recent regrettable death of South Korean middle-school girls by U.S. imperialist aggression troops, they vehemently denounced GIS' murderous atrocities in the name of the working class, unionists and young people and students of Korea.
The U.S. imperialists are persistently resorting to the hard-line policy to stifle the DPRK, groundlessly designating it as "part of the axis of evil" and "terrorism sponsor". They said, stressing that if the U.S. imperialists ignite a war of aggression in Korea,
The Korean people will resolutely punish the aggressors and achieve the historic cause of national reunification.
Statements were read out at the meetings.
