U.S. troops' murder of students condemned

Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- The Korean student committee vehemently condemns in the name of all young people and students in the north the recent atrocity of the U.S. imperialist aggressor troops as an unpardonable crime of blood-thirsty wolves and a vicious challenge to the desire of the Korean nation to live in peace in a society free from the interference of outsiders. A spokesman for the committee said this in a statement on June 22, denouncing the U.S. aggressor troops stationed in South Korea for driving an armored car over passers-by girl students to death recently.
Referring to the murderous atrocities committed by the U.S. troops in South Korea for over half a century, the statement said that the only way for the South Korean people to lead a genuine life is to drive the U.S. imperialists, the root cause of misfortune and sufferings, out of South Korea.
The U.S. imperialists should apologize and compensate to the Korean people for their crimes and immediately get out of South Korea, said the statement.
It called upon the South Korean people and young students to turn out as one in the anti-U.S. struggle for independence to achieve national reunification by the concerted efforts of the Korean nation in the basic spirit of the June 15 joint declaration in order to vent their spite which has been pent up for more than half a century and make the U.S. pay for the blood shed by their fathers, mothers, brothers and sisters generation after generation.

Japan's moves for nuclear armament blasted

Pyongyang, June 23 (KCNA) -- Japanese politicians and high-level government officials are openly asserting that Japan may have nuclear weapons. their assertion is as much as nullifying the "three non-nuclear principles" and officially declaring nuclear armament. Rodong Sinmun says this in a signed article today.
Japan, the only state of nuclear victim, should be the first to follow the trend of nuclear disarmament and dismantlement of nuclear weapons, an international trend of the new century, the article says, but it is openly expressing its ambition for nuclear armament instead.
Recalling that Japan had desperately striven to have nuclear weapons during the second world war and has consistently pursued its ambition for nuclear armament even after the war, the article stresses that the Japanese reactionaries are now clamouring about "nuclear suspicion" and "missile threat" of the dprk in a bid to divert world attention somewhere else and justify their moves for nuclear armament.
They are stepping up nuclear armament for overseas expansion.
They are seeking to realize their ambition for domination over Asia and the world in the 21st century with nuclear weapons.
Today Japanese militarism has become far more dangerous than in the past.
