Delisting of DPRK as "sponsor of terrorism" demanded

Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- The south headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification (Pomminryon) and the National Alliance of Youth and Students for the Country's Reunification (Pomchonghakryon) reportedly lashed out at the U.S. for terming the DPRK a "sponsor of terrorism". The south headquarters of Pomminryon in a statement issued on May 23 dismissed the U.S. groundless labelling as a grave move to chill the desire of the Korean nation for reunification and an unpardonable act to unleash another war on the Korean Peninsula.
The U.S. is the biggest terrorist in the world and if the U.S. tries to ignite a new war on the Korean Peninsula in violation of the June 15 joint declaration, all the Koreans will unite as one to counter its moves, it added.
The south headquarters of Pomchonghakryon in a statement issued that day noted that the Bush administration's attitude of labelling the DPRK as a "sponsor of terrorism" proves that the u.s. is mapping out a plan to mount a nuclear attack on the north behind the scene of "dialogue" and demanded the withdrawal of this label.

The appeal expressed full support to the DPRK proposal to replace the Korean armistice agreement with a peace agreement and strongly demanded the U.S. pull its troops and nuclear and other mass destruction weapons out of South Korea at once and stop the joint military exercises with South Korea.
It also demanded the U.S. drop down its anachronistic hostile policy towards the DPRK and show its sincerity in resuming negotiations with the DPRK.

Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- A five-year-old child who had got 3rd degree burns on 78 per cent of his body was miraculously recovered at the Thongchon county people's hospital in Kangwon Province of the DPRK. His recovery was considered to be quite impossible from a medical point of view as his temperature was 40 degrees, pulse registered 160, breathing 70 and had most serious circulation depauperate, etc.
But the medical staff of the hospital held an emergency consultation and took urgent measures to save him under any circumstances.
People in the county visited the hospital and volunteered to donate blood, skin, bone and all other things necessary for his recovery.
Over ten rounds of skin grafting operations took place amid the deep concern of its population.
At least 1,400 people donated their blood and skin.
About 6,000 square centimeters of skin were transplanted on his body. And he received two liters of blood and a lot of sap.

CPRF spokesman denounces Ri Hoe Chang's remarks

Pyongyang, May 28 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Committee for the Peaceful Reunification of the Fatherland today issued a statement denouncing Ri Hoe Chang of South Korea for negating the second point of the historic June 15 North-South Joint Declaration. The second point of the joint declaration in which the north and the south, recognizing the commonness of their reunification proposals, agreed to work for reunification in this direction indicates the most fair and aboveboard way of ensuring peace on the Korean Peninsula and co-existence and co-prosperity of the nation and achieving its reunification.
Ri Hoe Chang's negation of the second point of the joint declaration goes to clearly prove that he is opposed to exchange and cooperation between the north and the south as well as to their co-existence and does not want a peaceful solution to the issue of reunification, the statement said, and went on:
Negating the second point of the joint declaration means opposing exchange and cooperation between the north and the south and their co-existence and, in the long run, saying no to the joint declaration itself.
As he admitted himself, Ri Hoe Chang has no alternative proposal concerning ways of reunification. If he has any, it is nothing but "unification under liberal democracy," a leftover of the cold war era, and it is little short of a declaration of war.
By undisguisedly voicing opposition to the joint declaration, he openly declared that he would block the reconciliation and unity between the north and the south, their co-prosperity and peaceful development and take the road of war on all accounts.
The CPRF resolutely denounces his remarks in the name of all the fellow countrymen, branding them as an unpardonable treacherous act of ditching the joint declaration and bringing disasters of a nuclear war to the Korean nation.
It is as clear as noonday that if such a guy as Ri Hoe Chang comes to power, the inter-Korean relations will be brought back to the state of confrontation in the cold war era and a war break out on the Korean Peninsula.
All parties, groups, personages and people from all walks of life in South Korea should wage a more vigorous struggle to dislodge and totally eliminate such wicked traitor and special-class anti-reunification element as Ri Hoe Chang, the statement concluded.
