Bush's "state of union address" blasted

Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- Political parties of different countries voiced a strong protest against U.S. President Bush's "state of the union address." The central committee of the Communist Workers' Party-Revolutionary Communist Party of Russia in a letter of protest sent to the U.S. President on Feb. 7 denounced him for his balderdash in the "state of the union address" unprecedented in shamelessness and aggression against the DPRK, an independent and sovereign state.
The letter said that a threat to peace comes from the U.S., not from the DPRK. It urged Bush to make a formal apology to the DPRK.
Recalling that Bush listed the DPRK and other countries as members of the "axis of evil", the central committee of the Communist Party of India (Marxist) in a statement on Feb. 5 said it is one of the adventurous and desperate moves of the U.S. administration for the world supremacy, a challenge to all the sovereign states of the world and an extension of the U.S. war policy.
The statement called upon all the sovereign states to set out to denounce the U.S. threat of war against the independent and sovereign states and oppose the U.S. administration's war racket.
The Peruvian Communist Party in a statement on Feb. 5 resolutely rejected Bush's utterances threatening some countries including the DPRK, acting like the "international gendarme" again.

Bush's visit to South Korea assailed

Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- Trigger-happy Bush's projected visit to South Korea is aimed to increase the danger of war, wreck peace and strain the situation on the Korean peninsula, said Minju Joson on Tuesday in a signed commentary. The commentary continued:
Among the successive U.S. rulers Bush is the most bellicose and heinous president who has desperately pursued confrontation with the DPRK.
During his visit to South Korea he intends to fan up war hysteria, antagonism and confrontation with the DPRK among the bellicose forces in South Korea, put a brake on the implementation of the June 15 North-South Joint Declaration and chill the mounting desire of the Korean nation for reunification.
After flying into South Korea with many war servants and warmongers he is set to inspect bases of the U.S. imperialist aggression forces and forefront units in order to examine a plan for a war against the north and preparations for it and hold war confabs with the South Korean authorities.
The U.S.-South Korea confabs will reportedly focus on such issues as the intensified U.S.-South Korea "cooperation" targeted against the DPRK, the sustained maintenance of the "alliance", South Korea's involvement in the "missile defense system" and its purchase of U.S.-made combat equipment including the latest fighter bombers.
The "cooperation" and "alliance" Bush plans to discuss with the South Korean authorities are aimed to retain a firmer grip on South Korea, use the latter as a shock brigade for the execution of its Korea strategy and isolate and stifle the DPRK politically, economically and militarily.
In view of its timing, itinerary and objective, Bush's South Korean junket is aimed to drive the South Korean authorities to a fratricidal war, examine the preparations of the U.S. forces in South Korea for a war against the north and, at the same time, put a brake on the process of improving the inter-Korean relations and the implementation of the joint declaration.

Struggle against GNP called for

Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- The South Korean public are condemning the anti-reunification moves of the "Grand National Party." The reunification solidarity for the implementation of the June 15 South-North Joint Declaration and peace on the Korean peninsula in a statement on Feb. 6 condemned the GNP for making anti-national and anti-reunification remarks in a commentary that a south-north joint meeting to greet the new year 2002 for promoting national unity and reunification may change into an event of criticizing bush's visit.
The statement branded the GNP as a "political party subservient to the U.S." if the party continues to disturb the implementation of the June 15 joint declaration and the promotion of national unity and reunification, the solidarity will rise up in the all people's struggle against the GNP, said the statement.

Pulikovski interviewed

Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- Konstantin Borisovich Pulikovski, plenipotentiary representative of the President of the Russian Federation to the Far East Federal District, had a press conference at Pyongyang airport yesterday before leaving for home. Present were press men in Pyongyang.
Touching upon the results of his visit to the DPRK, he said:
The major success of the visit is that the implementation of all the agreements signed by Russian President Putin and Chairman Kim Jong Il of the DPRK National Defence Commission has been re-confirmed.
Another success is that a memorandum on cooperation was signed between the far east investment company of to he Russian Federation and the committee for the promotion of international trade of the DPRK.
When Chairman Kim Jong Il visited our country last year I forged personal and comradely close relations with him.
My recent visit reconfirmed the excellent relations.
I assure that the comradely relations will continue.
I highly appreciate the relations between Russia and the DPRK.
When I had an honor of being received by Chairman Kim Jong Il I expressed such a viewpoint.
Before my visit to the DPRK I met with President Putin.
Putin said that he would implement to the letter all the points agreed upon by the top leaders of the two countries in the past.
Bright is the prospect for the development of relations between the Far East Federal District and the DPRK.
We are convinced that all the undertakings including the linking of railways agreed upon by the leaders of the two countries will be promoted properly.

U.S. wild ambition under fire

Pyongyang, February 13 (KCNA) -- Several media in the United States commented that the story about a "missile threat" from the DPRK floated there is no more than a fiction dreamed up by U.S conservative forces, says Rodong Sinmun today in a signed commentary. Recalling that the DPRK has clarified its principled stand on the missile issue more than once, but U.S. conservative forces have persistently made much ado about a "threat" from the DPRK, the commentary continues:
The DPRK can not but question what the u.s. conservative forces seek in fostering confrontation with the DPRK at any cost even by spreading sheer lies.
In a word, their real intention is to isolate and stifle the DPRK at any cost.
It is the U.S. conservative forces' invariable design to isolate and stifle the DPRK steadily advancing under the banner of independence and realise its ambition to build a unipolar world. But this is a foolhardy ambition.
The DPRK-U.S. relations are overshadowed by their vicious moves to isolate and stifle the DPRK.
Their rash acts are hamstringing the settlement of issues related to the inter-Korean relations.
The U.S. evermore undisguised moves will only put Washington in a more difficult position.
The U.S. is well advised to face up to the trend of the times and behave with discretion.
