Bush's accusation against DPRK under fire

Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- Recently U.S. President Bush in a "state of the union address" at the congress let loose a spate of such vituperation as listing the DPRK as a "member of the axis of evil" and "the most dangerous U.S. regime in the world." He openly revealed his dangerous U.S. design to seize the DPRK by force of arms, groundlessly linking it with terrorism. In this regard Rodong Sinmun today in a by-lined commentary says:
There has been no precedent in the modern history of DPRK-U.S. relations that Bush openly threatened the DPRK with aggression. This is little short of declaring a war against it.
What merits a more serious attention is that the U.S. attempts to designate the DPRK as a target of its military operation.
However, it will be a fatal blunder for the U.S. to ignite a new war on the Korean peninsula. The DPRK is neither Afghanistan nor Yugoslavia nor Iraq.
The Korean people is the heroic people who inflicted the first disgraceful defeat upon the U.S. in history which regards war as its main job.
Under the army-centered leadership of the great brilliant commander the DPRK is equipped with both powerful offensive and defensive means capable of dealing deadly blows to any aggressors.
No aggressors attempting to seize the DPRK will be able to go back alive.
Our revolutionary armed forces have unlimited striking power and no aggressors against the DPRK will go safe no matter where they are on earth.
Option to "strike" on the lips of the U.S. is not its monopoly.
The people's army and people of Korea will wipe out all aggressors coming to infringe upon their dignity with a thousand-fold merciless retaliatory strike.

U.S. military pullback called for

Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- Assertions are now heard from the united states that the U.S. troops should stay in South Korea to maintain a "war deterrent force against North Korea" and cope with the "threat from China". Commenting on it, Minju Joson today in a signed commentary says:
This is sophism of totally reversing white and black.
It is none other than the U.S. that is to blame for having turned northeast Asia into the world's biggest hotspot.
The U.S. has staged military exercises in South Korea almost every day in a bid to stifle the DPRK militarily after deploying all types of military equipment including nuclear weapons and huge aggression forces there.
It is the unanimous view of the international community that there exists on the Korean peninsula a "threat of war to invade the north", not "southward invasion".
"Threat from China" is a sheer lie.
Plainly speaking, the U.S. is telling such a lie in a bid to realize its attempt to perpetuate its military presence in South Korea.
Anti-U.S. sentiment is mounting in South Korea after the whole truth about GIs' mass killings of civilians in Rogun-ri was brought to light and the issue of transferring the U.S. military base in Ryongsan, Seoul, surfaced.
Upset by this, the U.S. takes issue with the DPRK and china in a bid to calm down the anti-U.S. sentiment of the South Korean people and invent a pretext for the permanent presence of the U.S. troops in South Korea.
The U.S. is well advised to know that with no sophism can it achieve its ulterior aim.

Noting that all the people from all walks of life in this land can hardly repress surging national indignation at Bush's arrogant vituperation, it said that the indignity and independence of the nation have been ruthlessly trampled down for more than a half century due to the thrice-cursed U.S.

Ri Hoe Chang's anti-reunification remarks condemned

Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the central committee of the Chondoist Chongu Party in a statement today denounced Ri Hoe Chang, president of the "Grand National Party" of South Korea, for encouraging the U.S. administration's hostile policy toward the DPRK during his visit to the U.S. He not only fanned up bellicose Bush's clamours about someone's "nuclear development", "development of weapons of mass destruction", "reduction of conventional weapons" and the like, but did not bother to say that the U.S. troops should be kept in South Korea even after the reunification of Korea, the spokesman said, and went on:
He is, indeed, a running dog serving foreign forces and a heinous political quack who is at pains to satisfy his greed for power by selling the interest of the country and the nation.
It is as clear as noonday that if such a guy as him comes to power the whole land of the country will be in ruins and the whole nation can not avoid the holocaust of a nuclear war.
He should make an honest apology to the whole nation for his crimes against the nation, reunification and the DPRK.

Israel's political suppression of Palestinian leader assailed

Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA)-- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK, when interviewed by KCNA today, denounced Israel for its political suppression of the head of the Palestinian national authority. Recently, Israel blamed Palestinian leader Arafat for the aggravated situation in the middle east and imposed a closure on him and is trying to bury him politically, the spokesman says, and goes on:
Israel has blocked for nearly two months Ramallah on the west bank of the Jordan river where Arafat is staying and curbed all his activities. This is, in fact, a gross encroachment upon the sovereignty of Palestine.
In international relations, it is unjustifiable to impose a closure on the leader of a nation and abridge his freedom of political activities as one pleases.
Israel should lift the closure imposed on Arafat at once and stop military attacks.

Japan hit for dangerous launch of large carrier rocket

Pyongyang, February 5 (KCNA) -- A spokesman for the Foreign Ministry of the DPRK today released a statement assailing Japan for launching large carrier rocket H-2a No. 2 yesterday. The statement says:
Defying the apprehensions and warnings of the international community Japan is persistently stepping up rocket development. This shows that the moves to revive militarism which is getting pronounced as never before these days have reached a dangerous phase.
As well known to the world, some time ago japan adjusted the "emergency legislation" and is openly changing the basic duty of the "Self-Defence Forces" into such an offensive mission as "overseas advance" from "defensive one" on the plea of "combating terrorism." Japan has dared not do so afraid of the watchful eyes and pressure from the people at home and abroad for half a century.
Japan worked out a plan for developing medium-range missiles and has long pushed ahead with it in secrecy. And it has hi-technology and huge amount of plutonium enough to produce nuclear bombs anytime, if necessary. It is an established fact.
Moreover, in recent years it has developed its own spy satellite under the U.S. protection and support and is rushing headlong toward the establishment of its independent space espionage system in the near future.
After all, it has rounded off all preparations for overseas expansion. Therefore, it is not hard to guess where Japan will go if it has long-range delivery vehicles.
What cannot be overlooked is the stand of the U.S. so loudly clamouring about "missile threat" and "mass destruction weapons" of the DPRK. The U.S. has kept mum about the danger of Japan's missiles while zealously encouraging its development behind the scene.
The U.S. calls for non-proliferation of missiles, but its real position is that only missiles of its enemy states, not its allies, pose problems.
This shows that it is not because of the DPRK's missiles but because of its hostile attitude towards it that the U.S. is pulling up Pyongyang over the issue. In the long run, the U.S. uses this issue for its political and military purpose to stifle countries going against the grain with it.
The U.S. is unprecedentedly escalating its aggression moves to stifle the DPRK by force of arms, putting the latter's missile issue into question, and Japan is developing its substantial missile capabilities in line with such moves.
This situation compels the DPRK to further increase its independent defence capabilities.
The U.S. and Japan will have nothing to say about this.
