His remarks are anti-national utterances that cannot be pardoned by all the fellow countrymen as they were aimed to perpetuate the national division in the interests of the U.S., clean indifferent to the national priority, national reconciliation and peace on the Korean peninsula, and bring about holocaust of war.

Rodong Sinmun on "emergency legislation"

Pyongyang, February 3 (KCNA) -- The "basic policy related to emergency legislation" announced by the Japanese government recently is an expression of the intention to get rid of the "exclusively defensive policy" stipulated in the present constitution on the plea of "international peace" and take the road of reconquest just as it sent the armed forces abroad under the pretext of "logistic support" to the U.S. "combating terrorism," says Rodong Sinmun today in a by-lined commentary. The news analyst says:
The Japanese reactionaries enacted an "anti-terrorism special law" to legalise the overseas dispatch of the "self-defense forces." Japan's military strategy has turned into a preemptive attack strategy from the "exclusively defensive strategy" the main purpose of which was to make preparations in Japan proper to prevent "aggression" from outside. The heavily armed "SDF" is allowed by law to participate in all military actions without restraints as the armies of other countries do. Through the "emergency legislation" Japan seeks to expand the theatre of military operations to any part of the world, play the role of "international gendarme" together with the U.S. in strife-torn areas of the world and expand the sphere of domination and markets.
The adjustment of the "emergency legislation" stepped up by Japan is, in the final analysis, aimed to carry out a war for the reconquest of Korea. It is evidenced by the fact that the Japanese reactionaries are pushing ahead with the adjustment of the "emergency legislation," pulling up the DPRK over the "missile threat from North Korea" and "mysterious boats."
The Japanese reactionaries should be mindful that their efforts for overseas aggression lead themselves to helpless ruins.
