The Uganda-DPRK Friendship Association in a statement on Dec. 4 said that the Japanese authorities' crackdown on Chongryon was motivated by their hostile policy towards the DPRK and it was a patent infringement on the dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK.
The Ugandan people bitterly condemn the Japanese authorities' suppression of Chongryon and extend firm solidarity to Chongryon and Koreans in Japan in their just struggle to defend national dignity and democratic rights, the statement noted.
The statement urged the Japanese authorities to immediately halt their reckless and base repression of Chongryon and drop the hostile policy toward the DPRK.
The Bulgaria-Korea Friendship Association in a statement on Dec. 5 branded the Japanese authorities' search of Chongryon as an arrogant criminal act and frantic infringement upon the sovereignty.
The statement said that the association and the Bulgarian public bitterly lash out at the Japanese government's hostile policy against the DPRK which is being more undisguised under the pretext of the anti-terrorism war contrary to the desire of the world peace-loving peoples.

Korean people's cause favored

Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- The participants in the 13th Congress of the New Communist Party of Britain held in London on Dec. 1 and 2 laid special stress on conducting more active solidarity movement for supporting the Korean people's struggle. A political decision adopted at the congress said:
The Korean people successfully overcame all sorts of difficulties and ordeals caused by the imperialists' tenacious military threat, economic blockade and continued natural disaster by invariably and confidently adhering to the socialist principle under the leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea headed by leader Kim Jong Il in recent five years.
The DPRK achieved signal successes in the political, economic and diplomatic sectors under such difficult conditions for the last two years in particular.
It is of special significance in our struggle for socialism against imperialism to extend more positive solidarity to the Korean people's struggle for national reunification and socialism.

U.S. forces' crime disclosed in S. Korea

Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- South Korean newspaper Hangyore on Dec. 7 disclosed that u.s. army officers commanded the operation of the South Korean army and police to suppress the anti-U.S. national salvation struggle launched by Jeju islanders on April 3, 1948, in protest against the may 10 separate election orchestrated by the U.S. imperialists. This was proved by testimonies made by u.s. military advisors active on the island at that time.
Charles, who had served two times as an advisor to the 11th and 9th regiments of the "national defense guard" of South Korea from June to September, 1948, in a recent interview with Hangyore disclosed that when he was posted on Jeju Island, colonel brown of the 6th division of the U.S. forces, who was in charge of the operation to put down the Jeju uprising at its outset, personally commanded the operation on the island together with 7 or 8 other officers including a staff officer.
He added that a U.S. forces' reconnaissance plane under his control was also mobilized for the operation and he joined the guard in its mop-up operation conducted throughout the island at that time.
A first lieutenant of the U.S. forces who had served on Jeju Island from September to December in the same year also testified to the fact that the repressive forces killed too many people.

U.S. urged to stop telling lies

Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson today in a signed commentary lashes out at the U.S. for raising a hue and cry over the non-existent "threat of DPRK's biological and chemical weapons" and the "need to verify" them. The commentary says:
The U.S. is a heinous criminal as it systematically committed crimes by use of biological and chemical weapons including germ warfare during the past Korean War and is chiefly responsible for posing a new threat of a large quantities of biological and chemical weapons.
While keeping mum about the development of its biological and chemical weapons, the U.S. is groundlessly pulling up the DPRK over the above-said "threat" and vociferating about the "need to verify" it.
It is another shameless move of the U.S. to hide its crimes related to the threat of biological and chemical weapons and invent a new pretext for putting pressure upon the DPRK.
The Korean people cannot repress their bitter indignation at the U.S. which leaves no means untried to infringe upon the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK. They are fully determined to force the U.S. to pay a thousand-fold higher price for its crimes committed against them.
If the U.S. persists in its shameless moves to hurt the sovereignty and dignity of the DPRK under the pretext of non-existent "threat," the people's army and people of Korea will mobilize all the military force built up so far and thus deal deadly blows to it and wreak their bitter grudge against it.
The U.S. is well advised to ponder over the consequences of its dastardly moves and behave itself. The U.S. should halt at once all its reckless acts against the DPRK.

Paper on WPK's idea of unity between army and people

Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today runs a signed article on the Workers' Party of Korea's idea of the unity between the army and the people. The unity between the army and the people is the main source of the revolutionary army's existence and growth and a sure guarantee for emerging victorious in any battle with whatever enemy, the article says, and goes on:
The history of the Korean revolution is a history in which it has overcome all the difficulties and achieved victories with the might of the unity between the army and the people.
The tradition of the unity between the army and the people which was established by President Kim Il Sung and has steadily been developed with the progress of the Korean revolution has reached a new higher stage of its development under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
The WPK's idea of the unity between the army and the people which was set out by him for the first time has served an ideological and theoretical guideline in significantly strengthening the driving force of the revolution as required by the era of the army-centred policy and consolidating the politico-ideological position of the society.
This idea calls on the army and the people to have the same idea and militant trait.
For them to have the same idea and trait represents the most vivid manifestation of the unity and its highest stage.
Kim Jong Il raised new higher demands of the unity, after examining the issue of this unity from the viewpoint of strengthening the driving force of the revolution and thus provided the Korean people with a powerful weapon capable of dynamically advancing the revolution and construction.
The driving force of the Korean revolution has grown stronger than ever before and the army and the people, firmly united as one, are winning steady victory in the political and military confrontation with imperialism and working one world-startling miracle after another in socialist construction. This clearly proves the validity and vitality of the WPK's idea of the unity between the army and the people.

Japan condemned for repression of Chongryon

Pyongyang, December 11 (KCNA) -- The Korean Society for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries in a statement issued today condemned with surging national indignation the Japanese authorities' unprecedented suppression of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon) as high-handed and illegal acts against Chongryon and the compatriots in Japan and an outrageous violation of the dignity and sovereignty of the DPRK.
    The statement said:
The atmosphere now prevailing in Japan is reminiscent of the social atmosphere created there in the past when samurais advocated the "theory of conquest of Korea" before and after the aggression of Korea and militarists incited war hysteria availing themselves of it.
All the facts go to prove that the Japanese authorities are not interested in the normalization of the DPRK-Japan relations at all in the new century but seek to achieve a sinister political purpose of tarnishing the international image of the DPRK and justifying their criminal overseas aggression and the revival of militarism at any cost.
The Korean people will not remain a passive onlooker to the Japanese reactionaries' arrogant attempt to evade the liquidation of the past and commit more crimes against their victims Koreans.
There is a limit to our patience and our warnings are by no means empty words.
The might of the DPRK, which has proved invincible under the uplifted banner of the great army-based policy, is tremendous and it will never allow anyone to infringe upon its dignity and sovereignty.
If the Japanese authorities persist in their smear campaign against the DPRK and repressive actions against Chongryon despite our repeated warnings, they will have to bear full responsibility for all the ensuing consequences.
