S. Korean troops commit military provocation

Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- South Korean troops yesterday committed a military provocation by introducing two combat armoured cars into the demilitarized zone of the military demarcation line, according to military sources. The provocation by the South Korean military who were clamouring about "their observance of the armistice agreement" proves their bellicosity and impudence. They are persistently putting a brake on the implementation of the June 15 north-south joint declaration. They should stop a rash act, mindful of grave consequences of the military provocation.

Korean nation of same stock

Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- The Korean people are a single nation of the same stock, which enjoys a single language and the same culture and territory. They began to settle down here from the paleolithic age.
Paleolithic relics discovered in various parts of the country are living proof of this.
The remains unearthed along the River Taedong with Pyongyang as its center support the view that this area is a cradle of mankind.
The homogeneity of Korean nation can be found in historical literature.
"The heritage of the three states" and other literature write that the states established on the Korean peninsula are of the same stock and descendents of founder King Tangun, and that King Tongmyong of Koguryo, the first feudal state of Korea between 277 B.C. and A.D. 668, was the "Son" of Tangun.
Koreans have also enjoyed the same language and letters.
written in historic records is that the Koreans have developed culture with their unique language since Kojoson period, the first state established in the beginning of the 30th century B.C.
Korean nation created its original civilization from primitive society. Cultural homogeneity and peculiarity are seen in housing sites, labour tools, earthenware and other relics from "ancient Koreans" in the neolithic age.

U.S. "return" of its bases dismissed as hypocritical

Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- The U.S. imperialists are set to expand the bases of their aggression forces as they will be provided with new land under the "joint land management plan" published at the end of the recent "annual security consultative meeting" held between the U.S. and the South Korean authorities. In this regard Rodong Sinmun today says this in a signed commentary.
This is an unpardonable mockery and challenge to the Korean nation and the world progressives demanding the withdrawal of the U.S. imperialist aggression troops from South Korea and a halt to the moves for confrontation with the DPRK and a war against it, it says, and goes on: Defying the just demand of the Korean nation, the brazen-faced u.s. imperialists are working hard to beef up and modernize their aggression forces in South Korea and put them in an offensive formation under various pretexts. This is evidenced by the fact that they brought more aggressor forces to the Korean peninsula under the pretext of their "fight against terrorism" and forced the South Korean authorities to sharply increase their share of "expenses for the upkeep" of the U.S. forces.
Plainly speaking, the "joint land management plan" published by the U.S. and the South Korean authorities is nothing but a hypocritical farce of "return of bases" as it is a dangerous plot to calm down the rising anti-U.S. sentiment of the Korean nation and accelerate the reorganization and deployment of the U.S. forces according to the new strategy to invade the north.
This is clearly proved by the fact the most controversial bases in South Korea including the Ryongsan base and Maehyang-ri firing ground are excluded from the list of the bases to be returned by the U.S. imperialists and they are set to grab new land for increasing the capability to attack the north in return for giving back the useless land.

Seminars on army-based politics of DPRK

Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- The Tanzanian National Coordinating Committee of Juche Idea study groups held a seminar on the characteristics and might of the DPRK army-based politics on Nov. 17 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's election as supreme commander of the Korean People's Army. Francis Fanuel Lyimo, chairman of the coordinating committee, in his report at the seminar said that the army-based politics of the DPRK is a powerful political mode for defending its political idea and system and propelling the richness and prosperity of the country and the nation.
Kim Jong Il has pursued the army-centred politics, the unique political mode of creditably defending socialism, on the basis of the historical lesson of the global socialist movement and his deep insight into the complicated and sharp international situation and unexpected events in different parts of the world, he said.
Noting that the army-based politics of the DPRK is the most peculiar and powerful politics of turning a misfortune into a blessing, he said that the international community is expressing sympathy with it.
Meanwhile, the youth group for the study of the Juche idea of Democratic Congo held a seminar titled "the 10 years which will shine long in the history of the Korean nation" and "the great mother of Korea" on November 15 on the occasion of the 10th anniversary of Kim Jong Il's election as supreme commander of the KPA and the 84th birth anniversary of the great communist revolutionary fighter Kim Jong Suk.

Release of arrested delegates to pro-reunification festival urged in S. Korea

Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- The South Korean authorities reportedly staged on November 23 the third trial against the south side's delegates who had been arrested for participating in the grand festival for national reunification in 2001. In this regard, the "national alliance for democracy and reunification," the south headquarters of the National Alliance for the Country's Reunification (Pomminryon), the South Korean Federation of University Student Councils, the Korean Confederation of Trade Unions, the Federation of Korean Trade Unions, the "National Federation of Peasants Associations" and 27 other civic and public organizations in South Korea issued a joint statement on the same day.
The arrested seven persons participated in the festival as delegates of people from all walks of life including the solidarity for unification after getting the permission to visit the north.
The statement stressed that the arrest of them was an action that betrayed the lack of the will to implement the June 15 joint declaration and an act which would adversely affect reconciliation and unity between the north and the south.
For the authorities to lift the labelling of Pomminryon as an "enemy-benefiting" organization would be a clarification of their will to sincerely implement the joint declaration and an action of declaring that the south and the north have ushered in an era of reconciliation and unity, the statement noted.
It urged the authorities to immediately release those arrested delegates and stop labelling Pomminryon as an "enemy-benefiting" organization.

When completed, the farms will produce annually tens of thousands of tons of goat milk and large quantities of cheese and kefir and other milk products and meat.
The construction of goat farms has made more brisk headway in the country since may when leader Kim Jong Il visited the Hamhung city youth goat farm.

More rallies of working people held

Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- Working people in the DPRK vowed to bring about a signal turn in building a prosperous and powerful nation in the same spirit of devotedly defending the leader and thoroughly implementing their tasks as displayed by the workers of Ranam. Rallies were held at industrial establishments and on co-op farms across the country including the East Pyongyang Thermal Power Plant, the Hyesan Youth Mine and the Chongsan co-op farm in Kangso district, Nampho. Their participants expressed their firm determination to demonstrate the mettle of the Korean people once again in building a powerful and prosperous nation.
Reporters and speakers said that the torchlight of Ranam now flaring up all over the country is a proud declaration on bringing about new upswing in the era of the army-centred politics and marks a turning point in vigorously beating the drums for building a powerful nation in the 21st century.
All the people of the country are out to bring a new peak to production and construction holding high the torchlight of Ranam, the first torchlight in the new century, they noted.
They called for performing uninterrupted miracles and feats in all fields lifting high the torchlight of the victory in the era of army-centred politics and thus commemorating the 90 birth anniversary of President Kim Il Sung, the February holiday, the greatest holiday of the nation, and the 70th anniversary of the Korean people's army with high political zeal and shining labour achievements.

Paper on fear of imperialism

Pyongyang, November 27 (KCNA) -- The fear of imperialism leads to death, which is a historic lesson and truth, says Rodong Sinmun in a signed article today. It goes on:
The fear of imperialism is based on an unscientific view of the essential nature and might of imperialism. The essential nature of imperialism is aggression and plunder and remains unchanged. What is changeable is the crafty method of its practice.
The imperialists resort to the policy of strength according to the situation and objects, or the method of appeasement and deception or different methods, if necessary, toward the same object under the same situation.
They are paying primary attention to creating fear.
It is their strategic object to stamp out the independent forces of the world and turn the world into a unipolar world under their thumb.
The fear of imperialism gives rise to submission and surrender to the imperialists, which deprives a country and nation of independence and leads to death.
The East European countries, which were building socialism, collapsed because of their surrender, seized with fear of imperialism. The Iraqi situation proves that the fear of imperialism leads to death.
In order to remove fear of imperialism it is necessary to have resolute anti-imperialist spirit, see its vulnerability and build up military strength and for all the anti-imperialist independent forces of the world to unite firmly.
Whatever fear the imperialists may create they can never break strength of progressive humankind who unite to struggle with a firm faith in the cause of independence.
The imperialists are most afraid of the unity of the independent forces.
If all the anti-imperialist independent forces of the world are firmly united to wage a vigorous struggle against the imperialists, they can wring the windpipe of the imperialists.
The Korean People's Army and people will firmly struggle against the imperialists' policy of fear and victoriously advance the revolutionary cause of Juche and contribute to the cause of global independence.
