Name of UN abused by U.S.

Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- The U.S. ignited the Korean War on June 25, 1950 and abused the name of the UN in a bid to cover up the true color of the provoker.
They convened a meeting of the UN Security Council on the very day when they started the war, fabricated the "armed attack from the north" and had it adopted an unreasonable "resolution" describing the DPRK as an "invader."
In this regard the U.S. book "History of the Korean War" (page 128) says that the U.S. proposal to brand North Korea as an "invader" was forced into approval without additional information and details of the crisis in the 38th parallel.
At the UN Security Council meeting which was open on June 27 at the request of the United States, the U.S. representative described the counter-attack of the Korean People's Army as an "attack on the UN itself" and put forth a "resolution" recommending UN member nations to grant necessary "aid" to South Korea allegedly to beat back the "armed attack" and restore peace and security in the region.
The voting machine was used to pass through a "resolution" to legitimate the entry of the U.S. and satellite armed forces into the Korean War.
Another "resolution" was adopted to put the helmet of the UN forces on the U.S. troops and put the satellite troops under the command of the U.S.
Upon Truman's orders Macarthur was appointed "commander of the UN forces" on July 8 and the U.S. far eastern headquarters in Tokyo changed into the "UN command" on July 25.
Like this the U.S. usurped the name of the United Nations to shift the blame for the outbreak of the war on to the DPRK and mobilized one third of their ground force, one fifth of their air force, most of their pacific fleet and even troops of 15 satellite countries under the pretext of the "UN forces."
However, the United States suffered a serious defeat in the Korean War for the first time in history and had to sign the Armistice Agreement.

Japanese reactionaries' anti-DPRK campaign

Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- Recently Japanese right-wing reactionaries riding in 12 separate loudspeaker vans came close to the DPRK's trading ship "Jangjasan" which was loading food at Osaka port went on the rampage, heaping malignant slanders and calumnies on the DPRK and even throwing stones at the ship.
Earlier on May 27 a similar thing happened at Nagoya port.
All these facts indicate that these were not accidental provocations by a few gangsters but part of the undisguised premeditated anti-DPRK smear campaign launched by right-wing reactionaries of Japan.
As far as food aid is concerned, it is offered by the Japanese side to the DPRK from a humanitarian stand.
Therefore, no political strings are attached to this. It is prompted only by such humanitarianism as helping each other in time of need, transcending the difference in ideologies and systems.
The hooliganism orchestrated by Japanese right-wing reactionaries only laid bare their true colors as a group of rogues bereft of ethics and morality and humanitarianism.
There are political forces challenging progress, claiming to be conservative, in the world but, no such silly and wicked force as Japanese right-wing reactionaries who totally deny even humanitarianism.
The Japanese right-wing reactionaries are a challenger to humanitarianism and a cancer-like existence standing in the way of improving the relations between the DPRK and Japan.
Such Rowdyism committed near a foreign ship by a group of gangsters in Japan which styles itself a "law-governed state" is attributable to the tacit connivance of the Japanese authorities.
If the Japanese authorities sincerely want the improved DPRK-Japan relations, they should take steps for public peace in order to stop right-wing gangsters' anti-DPRK hostile acts and national chauvinist hooliganism.

U.S. attempt to evade responsibility for GIs' massacres

Pyongyang, June 16 (KCNA) -- The U.S. warmongers screened a documentary film at a "Memorial Day concert" staged as part of the functions commemorating the half centenary of the Korean War. There they did not bother to assert that tragedies such as what happened in Rogun-ri took place because of soldiers of the people's army among the refugees.
They also argued that the U.S. Army "requested the U.S. Air force to bomb groups of civilians because they, considered to be instigated by the people's army and included by its soldiers, were infiltrating into its base".
Rodong sinmun today in a signed commentary dismisses this as a despicable and wicked trick to evade the responsibility for their crimes against humanity.
It is a deep-seated vicious habit for the united states to shift blame for its wrongs on to others, the commentary notes, and goes on: the U.S. imperialists have so far twisted hard facts about their start of the Korean War and their massacres of civilians.
Up until recent days alone the U.S. imperialists claimed they could not "verify" the Rogun-ri incident despite the every "possible effort made to investigate" it. But they are now insisting soldiers of the people's army were among the refugees.
This is nothing but a foolish trick to tarnish the image of the people's army, shirk their responsibility for the crimes, tone down the anti-U.S. sentiment mounting among the South Korean people higher than ever before and escape from worldwide criticism.
The truth of history can neither be covered up nor falsified. With no sleight of hand can the U.S. imperialists evade the responsibility for their crimes, concludes the commentary.
