No one can match Korean people united around Kim Jong Il

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Vice-Minister Suleiman Hadad, head of the foreign ministry delegation of Syria on a visit to Korea, said in an interview with the KCNA that the reality of Korea proves the truth on behalf of history, times and humankind that if a leader is great, a country and people will be great and the revolution will win victories one after another.
He, struck with admiration at the socialism of Korea, said that the Korean people have become the most dignified and proud people in the world because they are led by the great Kim Jong Il who is highly praised as the outstanding leader of the 21st century by the world progressives.
The ideological and moral state of the Korean people is very good, he said, adding:
The Korean people are vigorously struggling for a new victory, breaking through manifold difficulties, because they are bearing in mind the iron faith that guided by Kim Jong Il, they will certainly win a victory.
The United States should clearly know that numerical and technical superiority is not "almighty," and draw proper lessons from the Korean war of the 1950s.
Nobody in the world can match the Korean people and army united close around Kim Jong Il. The government and people of Syria will always stand firm on the side of the Korean people.

U.S. bravado smashed by Korea

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- July 27 is a significant day when the Korean people achieved a great victory in the three-year war unleashed by the U.S. imperialists.
From this day on the Korean people have been known to the world as the heroic people who smashed the myth about the "mightiness" of the U.S. imperialism to atoms.
The U.S. declared boastfully that they would take breakfast in Haeju, lunch in Pyongyang and supper in Sinuiju when they provoked war at the dawn of June 25, Juche 39 (1950).
Although they put more than two million-strong armed forces and large funds of over 20 billion dollars into the three-year Korean war, they sustained a loss nearly 2.3 times that in the four-year pacific war during World War II and were torn to shreds.
That is why not only the world public but also Americans deplored that the U.S. was not so strong as others considered.
The U.S. Korea policy has proved a total fiasco before the world in the past decades. The U.S. armed spy ship "Pueblo" was captured while conducting espionage in the territorial waters of the DPRK on January 23, 1968.
The then President of the United States, Johnson, decided to take "a sort of military retaliatory measure" at the "National Security Council" and amassed large armed forces including aircraft carriers in the East Sea of Korea. The world was apprehensively watching the situation of the Korean peninsula.
But the Democratic People's Republic of Korea resolutely declared that it would return retaliation for the "retaliation" of the U.S. and all-out war for all-out war.
On December 23 that year the United States signed a document which apologizes for its aggressive act and guarantees that it will not repeat such a criminal act.
At that time the U.S. weekly time, commenting on this incident, said that the U.S. should draw lessons from the stark fact that it was beaten to a pulp by North Korea.
The United States, failing to draw lessons, repeated such a tragic comedy in the incident of large spy plane EC-121 in April 1969.
The U.S. Korea policy aroused more serious concern in the 90s.
After capitalism revived in the former soviet union and east European countries which were building socialism, the U.S. has put pressure upon socialist Korea with military strength and economic sanctions, spreading the rumour about "nuclear suspicion" in a bid to isolate and suffocate it.
The western world joined in the anti-DPRK campaign.
The world could not but express concern over the situation prevailing in the DPRK, which was standing face to face with the imperialist allied forces.
The DPRK put the enemies on the defensive with a firm stand placing the country at "the semi-war footing" and the "declaring of withdrawal from the International Atomic Energy Agency".
An agreement was reached at the DPRK-U.S. marathon negotiations and the U.S. President bill Clinton sent a guarantee message.
The anachronistic U.S. Korea policy still remains unchanged.
The United States will suffer a bitterer defeat if it acts rashly, oblivious of the past lessons.

War victory day marked

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Servicemen of the Korean People's Army held multifarious events on July 26 to mark the 46th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
A meeting of men and officers of the KPA three services took place in front of the monument to the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

The history of the ever-victorious Korean Revolutionary Armed Forces is being brilliantly carried forward by Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il, they noted.
They stressed all the servicemen will become human bomb and make suicidal attack, ready to dedicate their youth and lives in defense of their Supreme Commander.
An evening gala of the Ministry of the People's Armed Forces was held at the Jonsung Square.
An oratorical contest of soldiers of the Kim Kum Son unit of the KPA took place in front of the monument to the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.

46th anniversary of victory in war marked

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- A concert was held Monday at the Ponghwa Art Theatre by servicemen of the Ministry of Public Security to mark the 46th anniversary of the victory in the Fatherland Liberation War.
Put on the stage were such wartime songs as "Song of Defense of Fatherland", "Advancement and Advancement" and "My Song in the Trench" which the Korean People's Army soldiers and people sang while displaying the unparalleled spirit of self-sacrifice and mass heroism under the wise leadership of the President Kim Il Sung during the war.
The performers also put on the stage "We will defend our powerful nation with rifles", "On the way of struggle following the general", "We will defend the supreme headquarters of revolution with our lives" and other songs, which represent the faith and will of the Korean people to vigorously follow the road of victory under the leadership of General Secretary Kim Jong Il as the people's army soldiers and people fought in the 1950s.
Meanwhile, an oratorical meeting of students was held in front of the monument to victory in the Fatherland Liberation War on the same day to mark the anniversary.
Orators at the meeting recalled the enduring feats of President Kim Il Sung, who advanced the correct strategies and tactics in each period and at each stage of the war with his rare military wisdom and demonstrated throughout the world the dignity and spirit of heroic Korea by leading the army and the people to victory with his iron-like courage and outstanding commanding art.
The orators called for working hard for the ultimate victory of the cause of the Korean-style socialism with Kim Jong Il at the head of the revolutionary armed forces of Korea.
On July 22 and 23 a meeting of trade unionists in Pyongyang with a DPRK hero, a performance of war veterans and agricultural workers and a concert of wartime songs and story-telling were held to mark the 46th anniversary of the victory in the war.

Cuban embassy officials visit Phyongchon Revolutionary Site

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Cuban ambassador to Korea Jose Manuel Inclan Embade and embassy officials visited the Phyongchon Revolutionary Site on Monday, the 46th anniversary of the July 26 Armed Uprising of the Cuban people.
The revolutionary site in Phyongchon district, Pyongyang, is a place that the President Kim Il Sung chose for building the first ordnance factory and where he test-fired a submachine gun made by the workers of the factory.
Saying that the Phyongchon Revolutionary Site is where the development of military industry was started in Korea, the ambassador stressed that President Kim Il Sung founded the self-reliant defence industry with his clairvoyant wisdom.

War hysterics blasted

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Minju Joson today runs a commentary denouncing the U.S. and the South Korean authorities for their recent war hysterics that went to the extremes.
On July 18 they called the marine corps and more than 1,500-strong reinforcements of the U.S. marines out to stage a "joint landing exercise" and the "Paekma" unit of the army was engaged in maneuvers between July 21 and 24. A large-scale river-crossing exercise took place in Hwachon, South Korean Kangwon Province, and the Pukhan River area.
Such war exercises staged in the sky and the ground and at the sea with the outcries over "provocations" by the north reveal once again a criminal attempt of the warhawks to unleash a war at whatever cost, the commentary says, and goes on:
Through frantic anti-north war exercises the South Korean authorities seek to find a way out in intensifying military confrontation with the north, creating a touch-and-go situation and diverting elsewhere the attention of the people against the "government". They also seek to ignite a new war on the Korean peninsula together with their master and realize their ambition for aggression on the north at any cost.
If they persistently turn to unleash a war of aggression on the north, the Korean People's Army and people will wipe out all the aggressors, provocateurs, and certainly accomplish the historic cause of national reunification.

Green light for reinvasion of Korea

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The Japan Defense Agency decided to include the fund for introducing midair refueling tankers in a budget for the next year, on the plea of the "situation on the Korean peninsula".
It plans to include some of the budget for introducing midair refueling tankers in the present "medium-term plan for adjusting defense capabilities" (1996-2000) and step up full-dress deployment in the next "medium-term plan for adjusting defense capabilities".
Commenting on this, Rodong Sinmun today says:
The decision is designed to make a preemptive attack on the DPRK. It came when the Japanese reactionaries were examining a plan for air raids on the DPRK's "missile launching base." So this deserves serious attention.
If F-2 support fighter plane is refueled in the air, this will enable Japan to conduct an aerial operation against the Korean peninsula in any area.
The Japanese military is attempting to have a large-scale F-2 combat group in a few years to come. This attempt is very dangerous when it is viewed with the examination of the projected air raids through F-2.
Their moves to introduce midair refueling tankers focussed on the Korean peninsula constitute a green light for reinvasion.
But the war hysterics of the arrogant Japanese reactionaries overheated with the fever of reinvasion reminds the DPRK of a puppy that knows no fear of the tiger.
The Japanese reactionaries are well advised to ponder over what that means and stop digging out their own grave.

DPRK government memorandum favored

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- Russian political parties and public organizations made public a joint statement on July 23 in support of the DPRK government memorandum on the memorable exploits performed by the President Kim Il Sung in the history of the movement for national reunification.
President Kim Il Sung made his unremitting efforts for Korea's reunification till the last moments of his life, regarding the reunification as the nation's supreme task, and performed immortal feats on behalf of the country and nation, the joint statement noted, and went on:
We express invariable support for and solidarity with the consistent efforts of the Worker's Party of Korea and the DPRK government for reunifying the country in accordance with the reunification proposals and behest of the President Kim Il Sung.
We call upon peace-loving and justice-upholding governments, political parties and organizations around the world to support the DPRK government memorandum dated July 6 and urge the South Korean authorities to respond to the DPRK's proposal for peaceful reunification.

S. Korean authorities' hit for separatist moves

Pyongyang, July 27 (KCNA) -- The Kazak Association for the Study and Dissemination of the Juche Idea named after comrade Kim Jong Il, the social federation "EKHO" and the social federation "Young People for Ecology and Culture" recently sent letters to the South Korean "embassy" in Kazakhstan and the South Korean chief executive in protest against the recent formation of the "Association of South Koreans in Kazakhstan".
The letters expressed indignation at the formation intended to do harm to peace on the Korean peninsula and the fraternal relations among all the Korean compatriots under the direct manipulation of the South Korean "embassy".
The world people fully support Kim Jong Il's initiatives for peace and struggle for the reunification of the Korean people, while South Korea is adding fuel to artificial discord among Koreans, the letters said.
They demanded that the South Korean authorities should stop pursuing the policy of adding fuel to discord at once and accede to the initiative of the DPRK.
Those organizations sent letters to the South Korean "embassy" in Kazakhstan and the South Korean chief executive in protest against the incident in the West Sea of Korea.
