69th anniversary of Kwangju Student Incident observed

Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- A struggle should be waged to defend the dignity and sovereignty of the nation, the desire of students and people of other social standings in Kwangju. Rodong Sinmun today stresses this in an article dedicated to the 69th anniversary of the Kwangju Student Incident (November 3, 1929). The daily says: The anti-Japanese struggle in Kwangju was the eruption of pent-up wrath and resentment of Korean students and other people against the Japanese imperialists who were imposing colonial slavish subservience on them and a manifestation of their firm will to drive the aggressors out of the country and retake the independence of the country and the sovereignty of the nation without fail. In order to terminate foreign occupation of and domination over South Korea, reunify the country and establish the sovereignty of the nation throughout Korea it is, above all, necessary to eliminate traitors and anti-reunification forces dependent on outsiders. With the traitors hell-bent on pro-U.S., pro-Japanese flunkeyist treacheries left intact, the South Koreans cannot get rid of the lot of the people of a ruined country nor reunify the country for establishment of the sovereignty of the nation throughout Korea. Nor can they avoid a holocaust of a nuclear war foreign forces are trying to provoke. Only when all the South Korean people who want independence, democracy and reunification turn out in a struggle for the realisation of their desire, can they build a reunified country with no foreign forces and traitors.

"Samhung Stone"

Pyongyang, November 3 (KCNA) -- Samhung Stone is highly efficacious for curing hypotension, hypertension, irregular pulsation and neuralgia. A group of technicians from an agricultural enterprise in south Hwanghae Province has recently developed a stone for medicine. Called "Samhung Stone", it is 15 mm in diameter and 4.5 grams in weight. It is designed to make gasoline, diesel oil and kerosine quicken the process of buring. It is used for a cure of diseases. When a certain number of these stones are put into the oil tanks of car, truck, diesel engine, rice-transplanting machine and kerosine stove, they will save oil 10 per cent at minimum and 20 per cent at maximum. These stones are washed in water and dried in sunshine once every year before they are put into the tanks again. They are available for a few years. It also helps the engines operate smoothly and reduce the poisoning elements in exhaust fume. It has no bad effect to the engines. When the engine is heated, more oil is saved. With the research extended farther afield, the range of its use will increase.
