G.S. Kim Jong Il enjoys light comedy
Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) - General Secretary Kim Jong Il performed by artistes of the KPA April 25 Film Studio.
The light comedy is based on heroic effort of KPA soldiers to give active help to the agricultural sector last year, true to the party's call.
General Kim Jong Il expressed great satisfaction and thanked the performers for vividly representing a unique light comedy that is of great importance in cognition and education.
He highly praised the creating staff and artistes of the studio for producing many films and light comedies of high ideological and artistic value and conducting revolutionary art activities vigorously in hearty response to the party's policy of Juche-based literature and art, so that they greatly contributed to the strengthening of the revolutionary armed forces.
He gave them important tasks to invigorate revolutionary art creation and activity.
Minju Joson on U.S. moves against DPRK
Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- The U.S. Defense Department on March 25 announced that it would supply 112 long-distance multiple rocket launchers to South Korea this year in addition to already-planned 168 rocket launchers of another shape.
Branding this as a criminal move of encouraging the South Korean puppets to provoke a war against the DPRK, a news analyst of Minju Joson today says:
The United States asserted that the deal would increase the military capacity of South Korea to cope with "threats from the DPRK."
However, their assertion is nothing but a pretext to justify the arms supply to South Korea.
The U.S. arms supply plan, aimed at egging the South Korean puppets on to provoke a war against the DPRK, is contrary to the DPRK-U.S. agreed framework.
The United States is laying hurdles in the way of improving the DPRK-U.S. relations.
It must stop encouraging the South Korean puppets to a war against the DPRK.
Student scientific research prize
Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- 500 students across the country were awarded "student scientific research prize" today.
This brought the number of the prize winners to 45 among them are Ryu Chol Jun, a student of the mathematics and dynamics faculty of Kim Il Sung University who completed a valuable treatise helpful to the development of agriculture, Pak Chun Min, a student of the clinics faculty of the Pyongyang University of Medicine who presented a treatise conducive to the scientification of Koryo medicine, and candidate masters, inventors and honor students who distinguished themselves in study and scientific research.

Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- Pyongyang-based papers today dedicate signed articles to the 16th anniversary of the publication of General Kim Jong Il's famous work "On the Juche Idea".
The work contains the origin of the Juche idea, the guiding idea of the Korean revolution, its philosophical principle, its socio-historical principles, its guiding principles and its historical significance.

Worldwide support for Korean people's cause of justice
Pyongyang, March 31 (KCNA) -- The Asian regional committee for support to Korea's reunification, the All India Indo-Korean Friendship Association made public a joint statement on March 19 in support of the DPRK's just position for durable peace on the Korean peninsula and national reunification.
The statement called upon the peaceloving forces in India to denounce the United States' war moves in the Korean peninsula and extend full solidarity to the just cause of the Korean people to achieve the peaceful reunification of the country.
The Senegalese veterans' association said in a statement on March 5 that the South Korean authorities should convert their anti-north confrontation policy into a pro-north reconciliation policy and that political parties and organizations in South Korea should immediately respond to the just proposal advanced by the DPRK to accelerate the independent and peaceful reunification of the country.
The Norwegian trade union support committee for the reunification of Korea and the friendship society Norway-Korea said in a joint statement on march 16 that the South Korean authorities should take an affirmative attitude to the proposal of the joint meeting of the DPRK's political parties and organizations and abrogate the "National Security Law" prohibiting any contact with the north.
The Democratic Congo Youth Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said in an appeal on March 18 that political parties, organizations and personages in South Korea should take the stand of national independence and that the Juche idea followers of the world should express full support for the proposal of the joint meeting and contribute to the realization of Korea's peaceful reunification.
