Book "Spring in Antu" published In China
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- A book "Spring in Antu" was published at the Liaoning National Institute in China on the occasion of the third death anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
Printed in the book are portraits of President Kim Il Sung in the period of the anti-Japanese revolutionary struggle, mother Kang Pan Sok and comrade Kim Jong Suk. a picture of President Kim Il Sung proclaiming the foundation of the anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army is also printed in it.
It cosists of six chapters "Rainbow of Friendship", "Great Gun Report", "Base of Struggle, Cradle of Life", "Superb Strategy and Tactics", "Love and Trust" and "Legends and Episodes of Antu".
It says that President Kim Il Sung advanced the policy of armed struggle, founded the anti-Japanese People's Guerrilla Army on April 25, 1932, established the guerrilla base and the revolutionary people's power and dealt a deadly blow to the Japanese imperialists with his superb strategy and tactics.
It also carries new stories about the noble traits of President Kim Il Sung, who took care of revolutionary soldiers and people with great love and trust, and the revolutionary friendship and militant bonds he deepened with the Chinese communists and the minds of the Chinese people who ardently respect and revere him.
Solidarity with Korean people expressed abroad
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Meetings of solidarity with the Korean people were held in Denmark, Bulgaria, Egypt, India, Bangladesh and Pakistan from June 24 to July 4 on the occasion of the month of international solidarity with the Korean people.
The speakers at the meetings said that the Korean people under the outstanding leadership of President Kim Il Sung won a historic victory by repulsing the invasion by the U.S. imperialists who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world and their stooges.
Although the armistice agreement was signed, they noted, the DPRK has been exposed to a constant threat of war owing to the new war provocation moves of the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppets.
They pointed out that Korea must be reunified in accordance with the proposal for founding the Democratic Confederal Republic of Koryo advanced by President Kim Il Sung.
They called for the withdrawal of the U.S. troops from south Korea, the dismantlement of the concrete wall, a symbol of division, and the signing of a peace agreement between the DPRK and the United States.
They expressed full support to the Korean people in their struggle to achieve the peace and independent reunification of the Korean Peninsula under the wise guidance of Supreme Commander Kim Jong Il.
They declared that they would conduct extensive solidarity movement with the Korean people.
Review of Rodong Sinmun
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today frontpages news that Secretary Kim Jong Il, Supreme Commander of the Korean People's Army, sent thanks to officials and working people, who set examples in assistance to the army.
The paper reports that floral baskets came from heads of state of Cambodia, Syria and Uganda on the occasion of the third death anniversary of President Kim Il Sung and ceremonies for honoring the memory of the President were held in different countries.
The daily carries an article by Dr. Gatot Wilotikto, an Indonesian who works as a researcher at Kim Chaek University of technology in Pyongyang, about love and benevolence of President Kim Il Sung and Secretary Kim Jong Il.
The paper edits an article titled "Our nation is blessed with leaders" written by Choe Jong Ryol, a Korean in the United States who was once advisor to the American headquarters of the national alliance for the country's reunification.
Carried in the paper is an article entitled "Wise leadership of our Party which has maintained the Juche character."
Given in the daily is an account of measures to prevent drought damage across the country.
The paper in a commentary brands the south Korean puppets' joint drill with U.S. troops to counter bombardment attack as a dangerous exercise for forestalling attack on the north.
Worldnews of the paper includes an article on a special meeting of UN General Assembly on environment.
Anti-DPRK military manoeuvres under fire
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Rodong Sinmun today denounces the U.S. imperialists and the south Korean puppets for staging a joint exercise to counter bombardment attack in the central sector of the front for three days from July 9.
Involved in the recent manoeuvres were an artillery unit of the puppet army, the U.S. second division present in south Korea and the U.S. 75th artillery brigade from the U.S. mainland, the news analyst says, and goes on:
The manoeuvres were designed to increase the capabilities of surprise attack on the northern half of Korea.
The Kim Young Sam group are stepping up their war preparations against the northern half of Korea at the final stage.
They are intensifying military confrontation with the north, aggravating the tensions between the north and south of Korea so as to get rid of the most serious ruling crisis.
The U.S. warmaniacs, who do not want detente and peace on the Korean Peninsula, are encouraging the puppets to a fratricidal war by backing their war racket.
It is obvious to anyone that the puppets, instigated by outsiders, try to make a preemptive attack on the northern half of Korea.
If the south Korean warmaniacs unleash a war against the northern half of Korea in conspiracy with outside forces, ignoring our repeated warnings, they will be held entirely responsible for all the consequences.
"ANSP" underlings urged to stop anti-north campaign
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Ri Yong Sik living in Inchon, south Korea, published an article critical of the anti-north smear campaign of the "Agency for National Security Planning", Seoul-based radio Voice of National Salvation said.
Accusing "ANSP" underlings of launching another round of the smear campaign, he said:
They have described the north's just counterattack on Chosun Ilbo's June 24 editorial full of abuses of the north as "infringement on the press" and "threat to a specific press organ".
They have betrayed human conscience and obligation for some money given by the "ANSP", unaware of how monstrous their treacherous crime is. I feel not only angry at their acts but pity for them.
Standing in the van of the smear campaign is Pak Hong, an anti-communist lunatic.
The old running dog serving the "ANSP" has groundlessly slandered the north, causing great sensation, each time inter-Korean relations were further deteriorated and the regime was in the grit of a serious crisis.
He is now taking the lead in taking issue with the north on its counterattack.
Chosun Ilbo's abuses and the following campaign against the north are anti-national provocations directed by Kim Young Sam through the "ANSP". now our people, incensed at the smear campaign, are resolved to destroy Chosun Ilbo, a mouthpiece of the "ANSP", and punish its underlings harming the fellow countrymen in the north.

Floral baskets from foreign heads of State on death anniversary of President Kim Il Sung
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Floral baskets were sent on July 8 by heads of state of different countries to commemorate the third death anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
Cambodian King Norodom Sihanouk sent a large basket, Syrian President Hafez Al Assad two extra large baskets in the name of the president and the commander-in-chief of army and armed forces, and Ugandan President Yoweri Museveni a basket.
The floral baskets were laid before the portraits of President Kim Il Sung at the Korean embassies in their countries.
Meanwhile, baskets of flowers were presented by Vice-President Muhammad Zuher Mashariqa, the Prime Minister, the President of the People's Council, the Defence Minister who is concurrently Deputy Prime Minister, the Foreign Minister and other statesmen of Syria and political and public figures of Palestine and Bangladesh.
Rodong Sinmun on wise leadership of WPK
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Secretary Kim Jong Il in his famous work "On Preserving the Juche Character and National Character of the Revolution and Construction" summed up the proud history of the Korean revolution which has thoroughly established the Juche character under the wise leadership of the Workers' Party of Korea and the leader and declared that the Party and the people should in the future, too, uphold the banner of Juche.

In Korea, the history of establishing Juche was created by President Kim Il Sung and has been successfully carried forward under the guidance of Secretary Kim Jong Il.
The WPK has firmly established the Juche character in the revolution and construction= it has always placed the destinies of the Korean revolution and nation above others, subordinating everything to them= and it has uncompromisingly fought aganst all ideological trends barring the independent development of the Korean revolution.
This is fully illustrated by the fact that when they waged the rigorous anti-Japanese revolutionary war in an alien land, Korean communists thoroughly established Juche with a strong sense of responsibility for the Korean revolution and that in the post-war reconstruction and socialist construction, they categorically rejected the manoeuvrings of big powers that arbitrarily interfered in the internal affairs of Korea and urged Korea to accept an "integrated economy".

Memorial events broadcast in s. Korea
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- South Korean radios gave wide publicity to the events held to commemorate the third death anniversary of President Kim Il Sung.
Breaking the custom, they informed the people of a national meeting scheduled to be held in the northern half of Korea to commemorate his third death anniversary and gave an account of the event repeatedly once an hour.
The Munhwa Broadcasting Corporation (MBC) reported about the preparations and prospects of the national meeting right before it took place. The radio no. 1 made a report about the process of the event and what people said about the event.
The MBC said grand events took place last year and in the year before last, and the recent event was larger in scale than those, adding that the "memorial evening", attended by senior party, state and army officials, was held to honor the memory of the President and that great events including those in many countries of the world were held to commemorate the third death anniversary of the President.
In particular, it said that the immortality tower of the President was unveiled and the three expansion projects of the Kumsusan Memorial Palace took place up to this year.
The radios gave a particular publicity to the firm resolution of Koreans to uphold the President and Secretary Kim Jong Il.
The radios informed the people that the three-year mourning period for the President came to an end, saying that the north called upon the people to move forward under the leadership of Kim Jong Il.
The MBC said the memorial events of three years were the most sacred in human history and that the leader Kim Jong Il, who discharged his obligation, was described as the greatest saint in the world.
Mysterious phenomena
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Mysterious phenomena occurred in succession across Korea with the approach of third death anniversary of the great leader President Kim Il Sung.
The dark sky suddenly grew as bright as Xaylivhwolam-ri, Kumchon county, north Hwanghae Province, and three clusters of red cloud made their way toward Pyongyang around 9:57 p.m. On July 3. two minutes later, clouds in the shape of a swift horse racing with wings appeared and drifted toward Pyongyang three times.
The cloud was followed by lots of reddened clouds from 11:15 at night.
Around 8:10 p.m. July 4 when the rain, which started falling in the morning, stopped and a twin rainbow crossed over the Statue of the President in Jangyon county, south Hwanghae Province. Close to 10:40 at night darkness went away and a strikingly bright star glittered in the sky above the Statue.
There was thunder and lightning in the fine sky above Haeju city and other areas in south Hwanghae Province, between zero hour and two hours forty minutes on July 8. in Wonsan city, kangwon Province, the sun shone and a twin rainbow crossed over the President's Statue for twelve minutes after a three-minute-long shower from the fine sky.
When the inaugural ceremony of the immortality tower near the Kumsusan Memorial Palace was held on the morning of July 7, scores of swallows flew round the immortality tower till the end of the ceremony.
That same morning a wagtail sat and cried on the immortality tower in Ichon county, Kangwon Province.
A swallow flew about the portrait of the President three times in the meeting room of the Kwaksan county town management office in north Phyongan Province and wept in sorrow between 7 and 7:30 on the morning of July 6.
An owl sat on the newly-erected immortality tower in Woljong-ri, Panmun county, Kaesong municipality, and looked at a picture of the president for ten minutes on the morning of July 7.
Nine flowers came into bloom on a 12-year-old pear tree in the yard of Kim Kye Bok's house on the Ryongmun Cooperative Farm in Ryongrim county, Jagang Province, from July 1 to 5.
Two eight-year-old pear trees had nineteen flowers in full bloom in other places of the county.
Thirteen pear trees near the office of the mechanization workteam of the Hwadae county sericulture farm in north Hamgyong Province had some 80 flowers in full bloom between July 4 and 5.
Eternal leader of humankind
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- Nearly 500 units in more than 100 countries have been named after President Kim Il Sung.
This fully reflects the ardent wish of the world's people to uphold him as a great man of the century.
In three years after the president passed away suddenly in July 1994, his august name was given to 30 odd units in Tanzania, Madagascar, Mongolia, Peru, Bulgaria and other countries.
In Cambodia, street no.288, one of the central streets in Phnom Penh, was named Generalissimo Kim Il Sung Street and its large marker was set up.
In Nigeria, the King of Umozzi Community inaugurated the sun society whose basic mission is to let the entire members worship President Kim Il Sung as the sun and follow him forever.
In Mexico, the Mexican fellowship union to honor the memory of President Kim Il Sung was formed and a badge to honor his memory was instituted on the occasion of his first death anniversary.
In Russia, Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il libraries were opened at the building of the union of communist parties-the Communist Party of the Soviet Union and in Moscow.
The National Association for Belarus-DPRK Fellowship named after Kim Il Sung was inaugurated.
There are also Kim Il Sung College of Agriculture in Cuba, the Kim Il Sung Library in Sofia, and the Kim Il Sung class at the ten-year middle school in Altanbulag county, tov Province of Mongolia.
Besides, many countries have been giving his august name to significant units and buildings.
Letters to s. Korean newsmen
Pyongyang, July 14 (KCNA) -- The newsmen of the north's papers Minju Joson and Pyongyang Sinmun today sent letters to their counterparts of the south Korean papers Dong-S Ilbo and Seoul Shinmun in connection with the intolerable abuses of the north's dignified political system by Chosun Ilbo.
The letters say:
Chosun Ilbo, in an editorial June 24, groundlessly slandered our dignified political system and even called for its "overthrow".
The daily's anti-national, anti-reunification act is an open declaration of war against the north and a grave crime fostering antagonism and confrontation within the nation and bringing the situation of the country to the brink of war.
Before the liberation of the country on August 15, 1945, Chosun Ilbo had served flunkeyists and traitors, zealously beautifying the Japanese imperialists' colonial rule. Since the country's liberation it has chilled the efforts for national unity and reunification, extolling the colonial fascist rule of the U.S. imperialists and their stooges.
It is a disgrace to the nation and an unbearable insult to the press that there is such a despicable, traitorous newspaper as Chosun Ilbo in the press organs of south Korea.
This is why political parties, organizations and people of the north have issued statements bitterly condemning Chosun Ilbo.
The south Korean "civilian" authorities and "Government"-controlled organizations, however, have defended Chosun Ilbo, describing the north's legitimate countermeasure as "infringement on the freedom of the press".
If calling for "overthrow of the north's system" is ffreedom" as they claim, demolishing Chosun Ilbo is our freedom.
Nobody will check our exercise of this freedom.
